“Very charming house (like many restaurants in Charleston). The green salad with roasted carrots was fine, but the sea bass with crispy skin and a base of lentils was the best dish I’ve had in my entire stay in the city.Since the menu changes daily, I do hope that when you come it’s on the menu, and please do order it.“
“We’ve only been to Estadio a couple times because of price but it’s honestly one of our top restaurants in the city.Beyond the amazing food and always good neighborhood-y vibes, we were especially grateful for the host to allow us to move inside when our reservation was outside. Overall, Estadio represents every single element of a good dinner: good food, good music, good lighting, and good hosting/serving.Going forward, Estadio is going to be our go-to happy hour spot because of the surprisingly affordable happy hour menu.“
“Our visit to Laurel in downtown Charleston was a memorable experience. The restaurant’s cozy yet elegant ambiance set the tone for a fantastic evening. The highlight was the unique octopus dish - a culinary masterpiece, both flavorful and perfectly cooked. Equally impressive was the wine selection. High-quality wines at bargain prices were a pleasant surprise. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness added to the overall charm. Laurel is a must-visit for exceptional food and wine at great value. We left eagerly planning our next visit“
“Genuinely some of the best food I've had ever, I'm still dreaming about the beet and burrata salad, radiatore, and the chocolate cremeux dessert. Rarely are dishes so good I'm motivated enough to even try to recreate but days after the burrata salad I did just that (ofc it wasn't as good as the original). The chocolate cremeux was the dessert of my dreams: the perfect saltiness of the cookie with the creaminess of the marshmallow and chocolate was absolute heaven. I'm just sad I can't go back right away since we visited Charleston only briefly.“
“They served up a delicious experience. Truly a sip, bite and taste it good time. So in love with their space, it's an absolute vibe. Put them on your list to visit soon. I couldn't get enough of all the Yummies. I like sipping options so I had to get to sangria flight. Also make sure that you make room for dessert because that cheesecake is the best cheesecake that I had.“
“I would argue that Malgón has the best bread service in Charleston. We stopped in for appetizers and wine. Our server was great and the patio was suuuuper cute. Blankets were provided on the patio as well, which was the perfect touch on this chilly evening. I’ve dinned here a few times and this is easily one of my favorite spots in Charleston.“
