“Out-of-Towner finding out of this world take out. The brisket melts in your mouth. The ribs fall off the bone. The corn pudding is amazing. The only bad vibe was we were too late for the ribs special of the day and it was only 6pm. But a different special every day so we hope to be ”
“I recently celebrated my birthday at Halls Chophouse in Charleston on March the 7th. My dining experience couldn't have been better. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, from entering the front door where I was enticed by wonderful live music and was professionally led up the staircase with my mother to a perfect table tucked away in a cozy corner of an upstairs dining room. Next, I was greeted by a super nice man named Marty who made it a priority to go ahead and wish me a happy birthday followed by two glasses of complimentary sparkling wine for my mother and I. I already felt comfortable, relaxed, and truly welcomed into this restaurant. My server Kevin, was phenomenal. He made my dining experience wonderful and he had such a genuine, charismatic personality. I enjoyed getting to learn more about his most recent endeavors on his past trip from Paris. Kevin was more than happy to explain any questions that we had about the menu and he also highly recommended the french onion soup that was DELICIOUS. Marty came by to check on our table at least two other times, and each time he would come it was a pleasure to engage in conversation with him. I believe the proprietor Billy Hall, came by our table as well at least once if not twice during my dining experience here. He was very kind and I truly felt valued as a customer at this restaurant. This was the best meal I have ever had on my birthday. For my entree I ordered a Medium Rare filet that was cooked to perfection, and my mother and I shared multiple sides including a black pepper cream corn with a bread crumb on top that was the best corn I have ever had, and we also had the brussels sprouts and baked macaroni and cheese, both which were delicious. The other two servers that delivered our sides and entrees were very genuine and professionally served us. Towards the end of our meal I couldn't even think about eating dessert but, the server that took our dishes away insisted on sending one with me to go. I decided on the cinnamon roll cheesecake that I ate the next day, which was also delicious. I will be retuning to bring my husband here for his birthday in August and I cannot wait to share with him the wonderful hospitality and the incredible food that this steakhouse has to offer, once again. I appreciated the high-quality customer service, generosity, and true humbleness that this restaurant provided to me on my birthday. If you are looking for a restaurant to eat at while your are in Charleston SC that you won't forget, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Halls Chophouse. You will be more than happy that you did.”
“Was passing through the area. Wanted to have Mexican food. Wife and I liked how this looks from the street. So happy we stopped and went inside. Very friendly staff, clean inside and out. Nice bar area with great selection, they also had an outdoor tables. Service was outstanding. The moment they saw the chips or the salsa was half way, they refilled with fresh ones. Food selection was great. We picked couple of dishes and both were great. Fresh and flavorful. Mid lunch we saw they also have a good size buffet option. Will eat here again when back in the area.”
“Great atmosphere and location. Food was quite good and a nice selection. All seafood was fresh and made to order not mass produced. I prefer an entree with a vegetable versus all a la carte but just my preference. Service was great.”

“The food was amazing and the service even better with Clifton! Really authentic place and would highly recommend to people visiting Charleston. We were there at the closing and the owner (fifth generation) made sure to introduce himself - a lovely touch!”
“My gf introduced me to this spot since she’s a JI local. Absolutely love it, love the food, the cozy vibe especially when it’s not busy…Best pizza spot in my opinion.”

“Second State's employees refuse to be anything but attentive and pleasant, their coffee is solid, and they're open early enough for me to visit before work. That's worth 5 stars to me.”
“This Place will either make you hurt yourself or slap sumbody! It's That Good! I had Catfish sandwich. Hubby had 1/2 slab ribs! Will be back whenever in Charleston!”

“This was an interesting place. We booked a table in the music room for live entertainment, and the live entertainment was running late. That may be beyond the control of the restaurant, but people make their reservations based on the timing of the live entertainment. The food is good, probably better than many places, but man do they over sell it. I am pretty sure the server can tell you the name of the fish and how many relatives it had....where every vegetable was grown, and the name of the person that picked them. So much hype for what amounts to just "good". The service was inefficient. The person who sat us gave us an overview. Then our server gave us the same overview. After we ordered, additional silverware was brought to the table, only to be taken away less than 2 minutes later unused and untouched. Now, onto my real gripe. "We don't have specials because the menu changes daily." Except, it doesn't. The menu we had matched what was online before our visit and after our visit. There is nothing wrong with the same menu nightly, but don't say it changes when I see no changes....or if only one random thing changes daily...that's not really a daily menu.”
“We love Burwell's! It has been our favorite downtown spot for years. The vibe is very relaxed and unpretentious. The deviled eggs and waygu hangar steak are a must!! We always feel welcome and never leave disappointed!”
“I come here all the time and have nothing good to say about the servers, food, and atmosphere. Sometimes they have live music which is really a plus!!! Located right on king with a great happy hour and great cocktails!!! Rachel was my server/bartender tonight and she did a great job! The cassara is best in town!!!!”

“We heard so much about this restaurant that we decided to go there for lunch. I got the Smashburger and fries. This was not an exciting lunch, but it was a very very good hamburger. Let's face it if you get something good for lunch and enjoy it then it's a good lunch. My wife got the shrimp and grits she thinks, but then it's 75 who knows what she got to eat a week ago she enjoyed it very much. We never get shrimp and grits in New Jersey. All we get is subs and cheesesteaks. I would highly recommend anyone to visit this restaurant and put it on your list for Charleston.”
“I always get she crab soup at every restaurant. This is one of the top 3 in town. The traditional soup is served around town some with a twist. For me the sherry and amount of crab make the difference. I want it to be velvety and I always add pepper. The service is amazing, which is expected from such a respected, beautiful place.”
“Always a great meal here. Probably the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. The fish is light, crispy and not greasy.I always love to get their basic side salad because it’s just delicious. Simple, few ingredients and the vinaigrette is usually something seasonal and light. The cocktails are also handcrafted and the bartenders take great care in preparing the drinks.”
“Made a quick day trip to Charleston, this restaurant was highly recommended. Service was spectacular, food was decent. I had the fried chicken. Juicy, crispy with the mash potatoes and collard greens. The greens weren't my favorite. Over cooked and vinegar taste. I also had a great tequila reposado beverage. Yum! I'll definitely be back.”
“This place is great. It's one of the only if not the only 100% vegan restaurant in Charleston. And what's even more great is that they're open after hours and if anyone in your group wants to get a drink, then they have a full bar where you can get really delicious cocktails and beer. The only bummer is that they are only open 4 days out of the week. So only Thursday through Sunday. The calamari is only available when you dine in because they won't let you take it to go. Oh, and definitely get the turtle cheesecake for dessert, which is absolutely delicious as well as the chocolate cake, which are the usual staples for desserts on the menu. But whatever you get, you will most likely enjoy. They have lots of options! Take care!”
“They only have the burger on Wednesday and it is not on the menu but it is amazing. If you ask they will even cut it up on the quarters for a big group so that you can have it as an appetizer! The French onion croquettes are amazing too.”
“What a super cute spot! Delicious burgers with amazing drinks? Sign me up! The single tavern burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had. You won’t be disappointed at Little Jack’s. The service is good and the ambiance is peaceful with dim lighting. As someone who prefers smaller settings, I loved Little Jack’s. And while you’re there, try the grouper fritters appetizer. Those were absolutely delicious. On your way out, don’t forget to grab an exclusive Little Jack’s sweatshirt. The best purchase I made whilein Charleston!”
“You can taste the chef takes it serious here at Bintü Atelier. The skewers from the grill were amazing. I had stew and fufu for the first time and loved it. The fufu had a fluffy texture and light floral flavor, but was thick enough to make little bites to go with your stew. My wife had crab rice and loved it. The main topic of conversation over our meal was how we need to make sure to come back soon.”
“This Charleston staple has been around for a long time. They hardly need my review because clearly their reviews speak for themselves. However, I wanted to say that my dining experience at Fig was spectacular! The Bouillabaisse was amazing. And our server recommended the Ricotta Gnocchi + Lamb Bolognese for an appetizer. It was so flavorful. I do not have one negative thing to say about Fig. It was crowded but reservations go fast. We luckily booked close to a month in advance. Service was incredible. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Charleston.”
“Amazing experience through and through. From the greeting on the porch, the intimate table setting, amazing service, and even more amazing food. This resteraunt really curates an excellent experience. Once you order everything at the beginning of your meal you can sit back and relax as the dishes roll out perfectly timed. The chefs delivered the dishes themselves and were as enthusiastic to explain them as we were to eat them. Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and helped guide our choices. The menu on their website was definitely different than the one we were handed. Their menu rotates so frequently that their website lags behind, and that's a great thing. Don't let it scare you away from a reservation, but let it excite you for the surprises that await. We sat on the balcony of the back porch where there are only 3 tables and it was very private! This resteraunt is going into our list of required visits every time we visit the city. Absolutely try this place. You won't regret it.”
“Historical meeting with quiet ambiance. The most extensive wine list for outstanding selection choices. Service is just amazing from beginning to end. The bartender Denis is top of the line!”
“Where do I begin? The Darling Oyster Bar is an unforgettable restaurant. This has become my family’s new restaurant to host all special occasions & events! From our lovely hostess, Emma, who seated us and made us feel right at home, to our waiter, Jorge, not a single moment was left unattended or unforgotten.Jorge was super attentive & helped us navigate the menu with ease. He was our captain and seared us into calm seas, our chef special: White Flakey Fish over Creamy Southern Grits.Bless your heart — It was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth, & the chef came over and personally asked us about it. That’s what I appreciate! Southern hospitality from our first step into the Darling.Forest attended to our drink needs at the bar with complete ease, pleasure, and confidence. It’s nice to talk, learn more about the restaurant, and see how it shines throughout the evening. This place is well-maintained, known, and loved. Seriously, much praise to everyone who made this night special!Pros: our waiter (Jorge), the wide selection of dishes to pick from, and the experience of seeing the oysters up close! The cheesecake which was to die for!! I still have dreams about the cheesecake to this day!!Cons: none!Vegetarian options: Our waiter helped us select vegetarian & pescatarian options for the crowd! It was much appreciated”
“Amazing Experience. The service was excellent. We weren't planning on eating at the restaurant. However, we noticed an outside sign with information. We decided to give it a try. The Salad Bar has so many choices that there is something for everyone. No shortage of choices from Chicken salad to smoked salmon. A few Hot dishes too. We were so full after eating. We only opted for the Salad Bar. The cheese bread was delicious. The entire staff made you feel welcome.”
“We could not have asked for more. We sat at the bar and chose the Family Meal, putting the food entirely in the hands of our bartender. We had the best meatballs I have ever tasted, a delicious wood fired pizza with ham and pesto, a pork chop with black garlic sauce and pasta with lamb Raghu. Dessert was delicious tiramisu and raspberry sorbet. We left feeling we had more than a great meal, we had a real experience.”
“Me and my husband recently stopped in at Doar brother's while exploring downtown Charleston. We sit at the bar, the atmosphere inside was very relaxing and almost romanatic with dim candle lights and soft music. The hostess, who was also the bartender, was very welcoming, informative, and very pleasant and fun to talk with. She was very good at her craft, a drink artist, all of our drinks were as beautiful as they were delicious. Out of all the bars we had drinks at in downtown, it was our favorite for vibe and drink quality, especially for the price point. We even came back at the end of the night to have another round of drinks before heading back to our room, this time we had a male bartender and he was equally as good at his job and pleasant as his female counterpart. We had a very pleasant experience and will definitely stop in again while in charleston!”

“I love the coffee I make in my own kitchen- and I also savor the 20 min or so sitting at home drinking my delicious coffee in the morning before I get into my day. It takes a lot to get me to break from that routine. I prefer to meet someone for almost anything else other than coffee- to protect that time for myself in my own kitchen with the wonderful coffee I make at home. That was at least until I tried the coffee at Bottleneck. I had it for the first time several years ago at a local farmers market- the Vietnamese coffee (as another reviewer mentioned is mind blowing). I loved it but I tend to be a coffee purist- don't add anything. I want to taste the coffee. Now Bottleneck comes to MUSC- where I work. I will now forgo my coffee at home for a coffee from Bottleneck. I mostly get the Nitro- cool, black coffee infused with nitrogen. No ice. The varietal changes regularly so I know I am getting a world tour over time. Sometimes I switch it up and get hot black coffee, sometimes iced black coffee. No matter, it's always delicious.”
“Great little diner, waitress was awesome, food was excellent and she was very informative about sight seeing, where to go and what to see in the area.Parking: Parking was quick and easy and plenty of stalls for the size. Dirt lot next to parking lot big enough for a full size semi to jacknife and turn aroundWheelchair accessibility: Long smooth ada ramp up to the elevated front door. Neer the back of the restaurant”
“The WORST hotel in Charleston. It’s impossible to reach anyone at the front desk. Calls are not returned. The water doesn’t get hot. There’s barely enough room to fit in the bathroom. The robes included with the rooms was one pilly polyester green ratty rag better suited for the trash. Also no coffee maker, fridge or microwave, which are usually a given in 3 star hotels.”
“Keep it simple and enjoy a hearty meal without breaking the bank. Nothing special, just diner food made accessible. Service with a smile and a hot pot of coffee is a great way to start the day in my book.”
“Heavy's was a good hidden spot that we found. The service was great and the food was good as well. I had a whiskey mixed drink that wasn't my cup of tea...but to be fair...I'm not a fan of whiskey. If you are hung up on what appetizer to try....THE DEVILED EGGS!! (Chef's Kiss)”
“Okay, so I lived in New York for almost four years & after moving back home, this is the closest I can get to NYC pizza. It is absolutely DELICIOUS with top-notch ingredients —that baked with love and care — and genius parings. My co workers got the BIG CHEESY pizza as my going away present.Needless to say, it’s LAST MEAL WORTHY! Keep up the good work & CHARLESTON KNEADS D’ALS!!”

“Ate here for a quick breakfast before my road trip back home and ended up being my favorite coffee shop out of all the ones I tried in Charleston. They have amazing coffee and really great food!”

“Great shakes! I just signed up for personal training and came here afterwards and drank one of the post workout shakes, I got the peanut butter crunch with 37 g of protein and it’s amazing! Highly recommend. And it is huge for only $9!”
“I was visiting Charleston and met a friend for breakfast at Harbinger. We were there as they opened their doors on a Saturday and there was already a short line. That's a good sign! I had the avocado toast named grasshopper. It was sooo good! I highly recommend this place for its inventive combinations and delicious bread.”
“This place was just across the street from our hotel. We had been eating so much on our trip we wanted lighter fare that we could walk to. We have a place similar to this where we live and enjoy going to.They have signature dishes or you can make your own. The make your own can get a little pricey if you are not paying attention as they charge extra for items that we normally get for free at our local place. While the menu online had brown rice as a base option, they did not have that both times we went so I opted for sushi rice. Really shouldn't have to choose. Also, the salad base option is kale vs. mixed greens so another swing and a miss. The marinated tuna was really good. My bowl was loaded with seaweed salad, which I like, but both times it almost was too much.I don't know if this is a new place but most people who came in had difficulty placing their orders. It was either a communication breakdown or just not knowing how to order. The staff seemed more focused in getting the order made and move on.”
“Updated Review 3/2/24: Still awesome! Tried something different with my meat plate, Brunswick Stew. That was so good that I'd eat a whole bowl as my entree!Came here for dinner while on vacation. Our server was excellent! He talked to us a bit when he found out we were vacationing, which is what a good waiter/waitress should do. He always answered our questions too, like when I asked what he recommended to eat or drink.I started with a Smoked Manhattan, which is a bourbon cocktail. It was good, it definitely had a smoky finish to it. We got 12 wings and some pork rinds for our appetizer. The pork rinds were so good, especially with pimento cheese. Yum! And the wings were awesome, especially with the 'Bama White BBQ Sauce, something you never see in Michigan.I got a 3 meat plate. My three meats were ribs, brisket and pulled pork. All were wonderful, but what especially stood out was the pulled pork. It was impossibly tender! We were trying to figure out how they did that. We tried all the BBQ sauces. My favorites were the traditional one and the vinegar-based one, the mustard one just tasted weird to me (But again, we don't get that in Michigan so maybe I haven't acquired that taste). My final challenge to the waiter was asking what he'd recommend for dessert. He said banana pudding, so I went with it. And yes, it was awesome! I wish there were BBQ places like this is Michigan.”
“Every time I walk in here it smells amazing. Craig is a one man show and he’s always friendly and welcoming. The sandwiches are delicious and I’ve never been disappointed. Within walking distance from my house, this is a great spot. Looking forward to trying the hot dogs soon! Some days he sells out within an hour of opening. Don’t be mad, be early!”
“This is our favorite place to stop for delectable handmade chocolates and pastries! We feel like it's a local escape to a European bakery. We always enjoy a French press and a pastry at a bistro table outside, then we get a nice variety of chocolates for the week and head home. There's flavors for everyone! He makes beautiful creations out of chocolate that are really too beautiful to eat but would make a spectacular gift; right now near Halloween there are skulls, haunted houses, ghosts and pumpkins, as well as the regulars; beautiful turtles, high heels, alligators, the Eiffel Tower, and so on. If you like chocolate or pastries, this is the place to go!”
“Ate lunch here today. We got there right before the lunch crowd came in. Our waitress Tina, was the best. Gave us recommendations on choices as well as wonderful service. Drink refills without having to ask. Really couldn't ask for more from a server. Food was really good and definitely hot. When we were leaving the cooks told us to have a great day. FYI...although we didn't have it but chicken and waffles looked delicious. Going to have that next time. We will be back.”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Legend Deli while at work. And I must say, the breakfast burrito was nothing short of amazing! Packed with flavorful ingredients, it left my taste buds dancing. I had the breakfast burrito with sausage, scrambled eggs, bacon, and turkey. The customer service was outstanding - the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was spotless, and created a welcoming atmosphere. Legend Deli truly excels in delivering a delightful culinary experience with top-notch service. Please vote for them during the Charleston Food and Wine Festival in whatever categories they're in.”
“The staff was so kind and really cared about how our day was going, where we had come from and if we enjoyed our drinks. We’ll be back again! Toddler review: best hot chocolate EVER!!”
“Small, cozy, nook of a cafe. Ordered drip coffee and pastries. A perfect pair. A perfect stop after a visit to St. Philip’s church. A must stop on any trip to Charleston. Limited seating here is the only drawback.”
“Like to stop in on my way to work, usually fast & friendly. Today i had an employee walk out the kiosk while I was standing in line patiently while the other employee was fulfilling other orders.”
“Don't sleep on this place. Eaten here several times and each they had the best tasting pizza in town. Both my fiancee and I agree that their White Calzone is the by far one of the best calzones we have ever tasted, and she is from Europe and has been all over to pizza places. ”

“The bone marrow with tempura shrimp never disappoints. Honestly, everything on the menu is spectacular. Chubby Fish never disappoints and is well worth the wait.”

Neon Tiger
“This place is great. It's one of the only if not the only 100% vegan restaurant in Charleston. And what's even more great is that they're open after hours and if anyone in your group wants to get a drink, then they have a full bar where you can get really delicious cocktails and beer. The only bummer is that they are only open 4 days out of the week. Take care!”

“When we arrived Charleston, we were looking for something light meal for lunch. The buckwheat crape with cheese and mushroom was is simply delicious. I ate this kind crape in Paris and they called Galette. I want to try to make this at home.”
“I haven't had any of the food yet but as far as coffee goes, it's always good and prepared very fast! The workers are all kind as well. The vibes of this shop are great and a perfect study spot.”
“We couldn't figure out where we wanted to eat late last night and didn't want to spend too much money since we'd already had an appetizer somewhere else. We walked by here and thought it would be good. The restaurant isn't exactly the cleanest and to food isn't exactly the highest quality that you may be used to in Charleston but it was pretty good, especially for the price. My husband and both ordered a drink and entree and shared a roll, all for about $50. It's almost impossible to get all that anywhere else. I even opted for the duck, which was a thigh portion but I really liked it. The curry was good and the vegetables were fresh. The roll wasn't very fancy but they had some that sounded really good to choose from. At under $10 for a roll, the price was right. Our server was nice and the food came out pretty quick. This looks like one of the hot spots for the college kids, probably because it is so affordable and it's pretty darn good. I'd definitely recommend and if we were local, we would definitely be back.”
“Decided to try Biggby today, the two girls behind the counter (I think Cat and Chole) were so kind and made me THE BEST drink, and in record time. I’m new to coffee and they really helped me find the perfect cup! I will be recommending this place again and again, great job girls!”
“A small but quality Chick-fil-A on The Citadel campus. This one is located within The Citadel Canteen building beside Mark Clark Hall. No, you do not have to be a cadet to go eat there as it is open to the public. The dining area is always clean, and the food always comes out great. They are usually busy serving cadets, but the line is always served quickly. Overall, it's a great little fast food restaurant.Parking: Free parking lot just behind the building.”
“This is a great place for barbecue the greatest place down in Charleston so far that I found to eat great at great atmosphere great people great employees I'm looking forward to becoming an employee you should try this place it's very good James Island folly ”
“Ordered from the app for the first time today. Hunter, (at Citadel Mall) thank you ever so much for your EXCELLENT customer service! You are the epitome of "service with a smile"! Ask about the manager's program! ?”
“My kids love ice cream cake for their birthdays. They have a wide selection of cakes online to choose or premade ones at the store. I like we can customize cake and ice cream flavor. They have been ready when we arrive to pick them up and friendly service. The cakes are always a hit!”
“I ordered the Philly steak with fried okra. The okra was hot, fresh and crispy... It tasted like it had a Cajun seasoning. The Philly had a soft but crunchy bread, the meat was seasoned well and the whole sandwich was juicy. I enjoyed my meal. Niko's is definitely a go to on my trips to Charleston now!”
“Very clean and well maintained. Good coffee. The usual type crowd, home office in Starbucks.. so arrive early if you need a seat. Clean restrooms. Parking is limited so you will need to park in the surrounding areas and walk. The usual long lines at the drive through.”
“I wish I could receive great customer service every where I go as this experience! I just left rivers avenue location and the young gentleman was friendly! He was very patient with me while I was trying to figure out what I wanted to eat. He recommended many different choices and I settled for the burger and fries! And boy I wasn’t disappointed! And the staff moved quickly. The food was nice and fresh! The tables were clean with no food or debris on the floor! I can’t wait to return!”
“Very exquisite in the inside. Kind people who are able to serve you well. The drink was scrumptious.Vegetarian options: There are salads and smoothies with vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: This place is ultimately healthy. If you wanted to go to a healthy good place, this is one of them.Parking: Lots of spots to park atKid-friendliness: Kids would love this place”
“It's a great choice if you're looking for a leaner way to go by way of dietary needs. Though it's in the fast food category, if greassy food or fattening food is a no no, then this is where I come to. They usually anchor every place food is sold and the service is usually friendly and your food is prepared to your specifications while you watch which is a plus for me.”
“I went to Ladles for lunch on James Island.I had a Shecrab soup and a turkey griller sandwich.I was so savory and filling. The service was great the environment was kind great. But being that it was lunch it was extremely busy and no place to seat.I had to take my lunch to go. AGAIN TRY TRY TRY LADLES WONT DISAPPOINT.THE FOOD WAS GREAT!”
“Bring back the Buffalo bleu zalad. Also, the atmosphere got a 3 only because the women's bathroom had a broken soap dispenser, and I couldn't wash my hands. Hopefully, that will be fixed soon.”

“They only have the burger on Wednesday and it is not on the menu but it is amazing. If you ask they will even cut it up on the quarters for a big group so that you can have it as an appetizer! The French onion croquettes are amazing too.”

Dalila's
“The cocktails are fantastic. Whatever your preferred libation pleasure, they can make it or have a rendition of it that's probably better than your standard. The one food option (a Cuban when we were there) was great and a nice little bit of substance to the belly while we continued to order their well crafted drinks.Like others have said, they make quality cocktails efficiently.Definitely hit this spot. You will be glad you did.”
Fine Dining
“Other than the Biltmore Mansion in Asheville, this meal with historian Mike Hebb was the most memorable experience of our Savannah, Charleston, and Ashville tour (taken after Thanksgiving 2023). Colonial food was FABULOUS especially with Mike's professional historical context of Charleston culture and vast history. Our only 2 regrets were:1) we did not follow our premonition of recording (with our iPhone) the historian cook's informative and humorous dialog of American history and food during the surprisingly delightful array of a full course meal; and,2) we were unprepared for Mike's offer to bring leftover food at the end of the event because of our continuing travels.Without a doubt, this was worth every penny and time invested:Highly, highly, highly recommended!!!”
“The service was excellent, our waiter James was especially awesome. We loved the scallops and the cheesecake desert. We will be back for sure!Parking: Free valet parking”
“First of all our waitress was one of the best waitresses I have had. Wonderful! The food and the atmosphere was great. The bitter lettuce salad is a must. But everything we had was incredible. Wonderful spot!!”
“From the moment we stepped inside Sorelle and were greeted by a dashing Italian host, we knew we were in for the real thing. We sat upstairs in a tastefully decorated room where, even though all seats were filled, we could easily hear one another. Our server Eric was superb: knowledgeable of the menu and beverage menus, friendly, efficient and attentive without being intrusive. I apologize for not taking any photos of the delicious foods, so I will list them and recommend each of them: grilled Sardinian octopus, broccoli Caesar, zucchini Parmigiana, and for entrees: papardelle al coniglio, Sorelle spaghetti, and pillows of gold ricotta tortellini. For dessert: crosstata for two, budino di cioccolata, and 24k olive oil gelato sundae. Check their online menu for descriptions. In sum, I do not remember ever having had before such a delicious meal in a beautiful setting with impeccable service. Your wait for a reservation is worth it.”
“We attended the tavern lunch and it was great! What a fantastic way to learn more about the area’s history. Mike was fantastic and the food was delicious. Must do!”
“Wonderful food, wonderful service from an extremely knowledgeable server. It is such a treat and pleasure to dine at the grill. Once again thank you for an outstanding experience. 5 Stars!”
“The food was excellent. My wife and I both ordered the South Carolina Wagyu steak from the prix fixe menu which includes a small plate and dessert. The steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had the tuna as my appetizer and the portion was surprisingly large. Both desserts were excellent as well. The service staff was very attentive. I recommend this restaurant and would return.”
“Grill 225 never disappoints. Top-notch service and food was amazing. I love that they accommodated me with my table near window. The people watching and view of the customs house was fantastic.”
“Service was super and restaurant is lovely. Second time there for lunch, first time eating inside. I guess I forgot what a limited menu they had for lunch, my fault there. The she crab soup serving was a bit small. It was maybe a partial cup of soup in this giant bowl with a very large flat rim. It was sort of laughable, like they were doing all they could to make it seem like more soup (a serving cost 19.00.) in a giant bowl. It's just soup, throw another tablespoon or so in. Will stick to the patisserie next time.”

FIG

“I personally visit this Starbucks multiple times a week and every time the staff is very lovely and friendly and they always have my drink ready before I’m there. Since I do order a lot, some of the staff knows me by name and they are very sweet and I am always greeted by name and I can’t rave about how wonderful the staff is and how well they treat their customers. All around best Starbucks in the state of SC!”
“Taste is on point! I’m impressed!!! This is AUTHENTIC Mexican but please don’t add so much rice to the burritos. Ponle más carne, y frijoles….cebolla y cilantro! I will for sure be coming back! ???”
“The service this time was less than stellar, and the atmosphere isn't ever anything to write home about, but the food is consistently wonderful, and when I lived nearby, I was a regular - sometimes twice a day. I'll always love it.”
“Nice little coffee shop in downtown Charleston. Good selection of espresso drinks good recommendation for a lavender latte. Excellent service and quick service. A must-stop if you are looking for a quick drink of coffee downtown.”
“I love this place. I do not live in Charleston but I do come eat here every time I am in town. Delicious food , great employees with impeccable service. It's a little hole in the wall and well worth the wait for your food. I had the happy Houdini last time I was there, and the combination of flavors was incredible . Go, try it out !!”
“Overall good and quality peanuts. However it is very salty, would not recommend as the heart and blood vessels related with high salt input. And $8 per pound is bit over priced as you can find cheaper price nearby stores.”
“I love this place! Everyone is so friendly and I love playing pool and darts there. Outside they have an awesome back patio. There is a game there that hooks you! Love Love Love this place!❤️”
“Such a great little dive bar! The atmosphere was great, service was great, and the food was even better! I had the chicken tenders tossed in buffalo sauce. They were so delicious, but not overly saucy which is how I like them! My friends had the fish and chips and gave rave reviews! As to be expected in a pub-like venue, the bathrooms were questionable, but was fitting. Hover!”
“The food is good and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Service is great. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for Greek food around Charleston.Vegetarian options: Greek Salad”
“Delicious coffee and awesome breakfast sandwiches!! The coffee had a great flavor and the croissants sandwich was crispy and cheesy deliciousness!! Everything tasted home made. Service was fast and less expensive compared to coffee franchises like Starbucks.”
“Was recommended this place by a friend in Charleston. Burgers were very good. The best part was the vegetable toppings were all fresh. Don't get that at fast food restaurants.”
“Great brewery tucked away in a quiet part of Charleston. We enjoyed hanging inside and playing games while enjoying some IPAs. Lots of other options as well! The outdoor beer garden was great for a nice day and is dog friendly!”
“Best ice cream in Charleston and located on main street! Good quality and flavors, very friendly staff. Portions a little small for the price but it was worth it!”
“Our first stop in Charleston, recommended by a local! We had a cold beverage and a hearty meal in the fun local dive atmosphere! We were here on a Sunday afternoon but can imagine a fun party happening here every weekend! Def recommend!”
“This is a goto spot in Charleston for a night out of music! The staff and atmosphere is fantastic! Diverse and beautiful group of humans from all walks of life! Great drinks!”

Legend Deli

Indaco
“We could not have asked for more. We sat at the bar and chose the Family Meal, putting the food entirely in the hands of our bartender. We had the best meatballs I have ever tasted, a delicious wood fired pizza with ham and pesto, a pork chop with black garlic sauce and pasta with lamb Raghu. Dessert was delicious tiramisu and raspberry sorbet. We left feeling we had more than a great meal, we had a real experience.”

Harken Cafe
“Small, cozy, nook of a cafe. Ordered drip coffee and pastries. A perfect pair. A perfect stop after a visit to St. Philip’s church. A must stop on any trip to Charleston. Limited seating here is the only drawback.”
“Don't sleep on this place. Eaten here several times and each they had the best tasting pizza in town. Both my fiancee and I agree that their White Calzone is the by far one of the best calzones we have ever tasted, and she is from Europe and has been all over to pizza places. ”
“If Thailand and Italy had a love child it would be the Pad Thai Gnocchi. Flavors of the east with the carb goodness of potato pasta! But wait, the star of the show was the Cashew Korma. Add the tender short rib protein to elevate this to a heavenly level. Spread my ashes at the steps of this temple of food.”

Doar Bros.

“This is a great big place for live music. There is always a band I've never heard a bad one yet. I've been there many times people are very friendly. The drinks are very reasonable and the food is good. I order mine to go. Don't dress up it's a t-shirts and jeans kind of place. You can get up close and personal near the band is so much fun. Come see everyone at pub 61.”

AZUR
“Sophisticated, light, and satisfying lunch. We weren't in the mood for anything heavy at noon, so this place caught our eye. Hoping to get Azur more on the map. Also they were super accommodating for our little 3 month old. A casual yet purposeful French vibe throughout. Their caipirinha was also incredible randomly. Apparently one of their bartenders is from Brasil. Anyways, a great lunch and great people.”
“While working as a technician fixing the TVs at Grumpy Goat Seafood Cantina, I had the opportunity to try one of their quesadillas, and it was truly fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owner was exceptionally friendly and not only managed the restaurant effectively but also went out of her way to accommodate me while I troubleshooted the TV system. She was incredibly generous. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and both the workers and the owner were friendly. I look forward to returning on one of my days off to enjoy the food without having to work!Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for wheelchairs”
“I have visited this establishment several times a week for over a year and I can honestly say the service and the food cannot be topped! Very pleasant and courteous and the food is simply amazing...best pizza in Charleston ”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our experience tonight at Port of Call Food & Brew! We started with the calamari, which was the strips, and it was delicious! I ordered the scallops, and they were good with corn and tomatoes and a rich sauce. My husband got the short rib on grits with fried onion strips, and it was so tender & flavorful! We were too full for dessert, but happy!”
“Robyn was a fabulous job bringing drinks and hush puppies promptly and then our meals shortly after and made sure we had everything we neede!!!Parking: No problem with parking”
“My fiancé and I ordered takeout for an at-home date night and we could not be more ecstatic about finding this place. As two transplants from Boston, this was the first time Italian food has made us this happy since we’ve moved to Charleston. We cannot wait to order again!”
“We met family there for lunch and we couldn't have had a better experience. The atmosphere is moody, eclectic and a little romantic. All four of us enjoyed our meals and the service was wonderful. We will absolutely be going back.”
“Greens were a little salty. Broccoli salad was so good. The trout was crazy good. This was my first time going and it won't be my last. I loved the cornbread, too. This was a real southern experience. Perfect for Charleston. I want to try the bread pudding.Parking: There was plenty of available space but we arrived a little late. The lot is a little tight. Of the restaurant had been full it would be packed.”

Dog and Duck
“The Philly cheese steak was really good. The wings were absolutely MASSIVE! And the fries are done perfecty crisp and like 6” long. Our server EMMA was super kind and attentive and made sure that the dog with us had water. I just wish I lived closer.”

“Located in a very charming house, with very pleasant staff, this restaurant has a great menu. I hate when restaurants have hundreds of options on the menu, so this one is just nice, with great variety. Good wine selection as well. Though the rosé could be colder.I had a traditional but elegant Caesar salad as appetizer and the jambalaya as main. I usually make jambalaya, so I know what’s good, and this one was - though more on the dry side - very tasty.”
“Food was really good, service was excellent (thank you Ashley). However, the portion was small for the price. I would repeat the experience but keep in mind it is on the pricier side.”
“Bistronomy is an enthralling experience. The food is flawless, the service some of the best in Charleston, the drinks are on point and the vibe is hopping. We came here for a belated Valentine's Day celebration and the experience did not disappoint!”

O-Ku
“Our table was ready as promised. We were seated immediately. The waitress seemed a bit stretched but it was a busy Saturday night. The Rock Shrimp was crisp with a delicious tangy sauce and loved the dressed greens under the shrimp. I would have like more spice but my daughter thought it was great. The edamame was basic but as expected. The sushi rolls were pretty average at best. The rice was a bit dry and the seaweed wrap had an extreme fishy taste. The rolls were small for the price. We have sushi weekly so we are a little picky about sushi. The Kaarage Chicken was probably the best item. It was very crisp with a delightful sweet and sour sauce. The price for the quality was a bit on the high end but not bad for a tourist town.”
“Even on a very cold day in Charleston, lots of cheer, great staff and service! An awesome place to come and get your drink on especially on a Saturday with a beer trolley”
“We recently had a work event dinner at Edmund's Oast and we were in their Library room. The entire process of securing the room, working with the event coordinators, and the team the day of was seamless and stress free, especially with us trying to secure a place last minute. They understood our vision and expectations of the evening and gave a fantastic experience. We did a buffet style with local favorites (fried chicken, low country boil, fresh fish, etc.) and the food was delicious. A few vegetarians on the team raved about the Vegetable Curry. The service was also fantastic. I would highly recommend using them for events, and I plan to return to eat at the restaurant myself.”
“Service was amazing and very nice building with neat decor. The food was AMAZING and I mean absolutely to die for. I got the cheeseburger with mac n cheese, tasted like someone's papa and grandma put their heart and souls in that food. Didn't have to wait a long time for the food but honestly even if you did, I would genuinely say absolutely worth it. Pricing was fair for everything. Ps if you get a salad go with the visagarette, it's life changing.”

“Went for the first time today and I’ll now be a regular. The owner is so awesome, and the staff is just as great. Felt like I was at home the second we stepped up to order. Amazing!! And thank you for the ParmaJawn- best sandwich I’ve had in Charleston so far!”
“I was in town for work and went to Hymans for dinner on a Wednesday night at the recommendation of a local. Food was fantastic. Complimentary hush puppies. We got crab soup, salmon croquettes, and fried shrimp tacos, and they were all delicious. Clifton h's service was SUPERB and even though it was busy, he kept us entertained and fed. Great experience, and will absolutely return on my next trip into town.”
“After visiting two other breweries, this place felt like the more "underground" spot. Good music in the background and overall felt very local. Beer tastes good.”

“It may not be cost efficient, but I did really enjoy my meal. All those farm to table raw ingredients are expensive. I admire the fact that the menu changes frequently to keep things fresh and, hopefully, keep the kitchen staff around longer than other Charleston restaurants. NOTE: Do not, under any circumstances, skip dessert. The blueberry banana bread parfait will make your mind touch the void. It may have been my favorite thing I had all night.”
“Fantastic cuts, fish quality & selection fantastic. If you want top tier sushi this is the place.Atmosphere is great, just not an intimate set down, it's about the meal. Thanks to the staff, taking pride in the meal as an art form.”
“Great selection of beer and liquor. Nice atmosphere. Bar area, game room has board games, pool table, chalkboard wall. There is an upstairs area that is cozy like with sofas, table games. Buena Compañia Puerto Rican food works the kitchen. Absolutely delicious ? highly recommend.”

“I've been coming here for 5 years. The food is always amazing! Sushi, atmosphere, and service are always the best! Joyce is amazing, and they have a great menu. I tell everyone about this place!!”

“I liked the no nonsense bartender. You better have a plan before taking their attention. Catfish sandwich was delicious and I didn't feel like I was going to have a stroke.after eating it. Also enjoyed the charred oysters.”
“We hosted a surprise party for my husband at Munkle and it was the perfect location! Palmer was so helpful and accommodating for our group and it ended up being the perfect day. The patio is amazing and a great spot for a nice day. The beer is fantastic and there were plenty of non-alcoholic options as well. Thank you Palmer and Munkle staff for making my husband's 40th birthday a huge success!”
“Absolutely amazing meal here tonight! I enjoyed a half dozen of their varietal of oysters and half dozen of the char broiled oysters along with an amazing wedge salad. Hubby had the grilled black bass with red rice & beans and asparagus. Sooooo goood!!!!”
“Pastries are delightful! Cute assortment of desserts that are indulgent and not too sweet. One star off bc seating is tight so you have to hover and wait for ppl to leave a table. We went at 5pm when Google said it was "less busy than usual" and we still had to wait about 15 mins on line to order, another 5 mins to get our food and drinks, and the whole time there were no extra seats. We then had to hover around holding hot coffee and tea mugs with a plate & fork of dessert.”

“We initially headed to the sister restaurant around the corner, they were very busy so they referred us to Bar167. What a great place, excellent food and service. I would recommend ordering some focaccia with the wagyu carpaccio (so delicious). I really enjoyed the signature margarita.”

Wild Common
“One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! Menus was beautifully crafted and even prepared substitutions for my wife given her pregnancy. Amazing team that took care of us and got to know us personally in the 2-hour timeframe we were there. At the end, they surprised us with a hand-signed copy of our menu to help us commemorate such a great experience during our baby-moon.”
“OMG this place is amazing! I finally made it back and we stayed and ate inside at the counter. Such a cute little inside, but only the 6 seats or so at the counter and maybe a small table for 2 in the corner. Otherwise, there is a small courtyard just outside that is precious. There was only one person ordering ahead of us, so basically no wait on a Sunday at noon, was incredible.I got the chicken and biscuit which also comes with 2 sunny side up eggs and I added the cheddar grits based on the servers recommendation. My husband had the BLT which has a fried egg on it as well. Everything was just delicious! The chicken came with a hot honey for dipping that was just right, the biscuits are incredibly light and fluffy and she wasn't joking about the grits - they were the best I've ever had. You know how grits are basically a flavor vacuum? Well, I don't know what they do here, but these are absolutely delicious. They also serve wine which is cute, do you can have yourself a full brunch experience if you want! I can't wait to go back!”
“We love Edison and think it's a hidden secret on James Island. The vibe of the restaurant is wonderful, staff is attentive (Ariel was great) and the 1/2 priced Wine Wednesday seals the deal. Recently visited and enjoyed the Fig & Fromage, Bistro Steak Salad and Steak Frites. Appetizer was delicious and both steaks were cooked to perfection.”

“Easily one of the best spots in the Charleston area to eat. It was a fantastic atmosphere and the food was spectacular. All of the chefs were funny and positive. Will definitely be returning.”

Revival
“Dinner last evening was wonderful from appetizers, to drinks to main course. There was no room for desert. Our server was Kristen who was knowledgeable, efficient and personable. We are locals and will return definitely. The she crab soup is the best in Charleston and we’ve sampled it in just about a every restaurant. 5 stars!Parking: East Bay St. and surrounding streets have metered parking with free parking on Sundays. It is limited however there are plenty of parking garages within walkable distance in the area.”
“We ate at the bar and the food was excellent. The bartender was friendly. We didn't have to wait long for the food. The drinks were made well. The place has a nice ambiance. I ordered scallops which was considered a small plate and it was plenty of food. I had never had scallops prepared the way they were and I was pleasantly surprised. My friend had linguini and clams and they were very good. Other friends had the oysters and liked them. I'm from California and if I come back to St.Charleston I would definitely return.”
“The staff was so accommodating! We went on a busy Saturday night without a reservation and they squeezed us in! They were so polite and happy to have us. Their food is healthy which is nice coven lots of Charleston food is heavy. Highly recommend the cauliflower wings!Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu and happy to accommodate kids!”
“My first time here and WOW I fell in love with the classic egg and cheese sandwich. The scrumpet was soft and beautiful, eggs were fluffy, and I love that they do a cheese sauce on the side instead of cheese slices! So unique and delicious. Be sure to add their homemade hot sauce on the sandwich!”

SHIKI
“Amazing sushi! Place is super tiny so you must have a reservation!!! Must! The host was so nice and really accommodated us when we had an unexpected extra friend show up. This will be my go to place in CHS for sushi!”

Estadio
“We’ve only been to Estadio a couple times because of price but it’s honestly one of our top restaurants in the city.Beyond the amazing food and always good neighborhood-y vibes, we were especially grateful for the host to allow us to move inside when our reservation was outside. Overall, Estadio represents every single element of a good dinner: good food, good music, good lighting, and good hosting/serving.Going forward, Estadio is going to be our go-to happy hour spot because of the surprisingly affordable happy hour menu.”
“Locals in Charleston know that anything that Christophe and his wife Carly create is going to be simply amazing! From their chocolates to pastries to food, it is always spectacular”
“MARTINNNN is an amazing server. My aunt cinnamon, and I went here and he's amazing. Kept the conversation flowing, was a great soul to connect with, and seriously attentive! We loved having our meal with him♡♡♡”

Sorelle
“I have been a member of the Harbour Club for almost 15 years, at the old location and at the new location. It is a private club, but it has always been a great club and a great place for networking and having meetings and dinners with business associates, but the current location, staff, chef, and atmosphere is by far the best it has ever been. There is always a smile and a friendly greeting from the whole staff and the servers are great! The new chef has done a great job and recently upgraded the menus. Views from the club are outstanding, especially the sunset over the Ashley River. My wife and I have recently joined the wine club and really enjoy the wine tastings. They have live music on Fridays, special events throughout the year, kids activities and they support the community with their "Cocktails For a Cause" events. Whether you are looking for a place to do some work in quiet workspaces, attend a great happy hour, or want to network and have a place to take business associates, you should consider the Harbour Club. You will not be disappointed!”
“Recently tried Locals since we used to come to this spot when it was two other different restaurants. Food was good and servers were friendly. It’s got some typical bar food but then stuff like sushi and hibachi. Will definitely come back.Parking: Parking is around the back of restaurant which can be a bit confusing if you’ve never been here. But plenty of spots once you get back there!Kid-friendliness: Yes it’s kid friendly”

Chez Nous
“An absolutely amazing experience every time we have dined at Chez Nous. The menu was different every time we went, and every single time the meal was incredible. Even ingredients I typically do not like tasted like heaven. We've dined at Chez Nous many times over the last 18 months and we cannot wait to go again.”
“This little pizzeria has the best food! Every ingredient is so fresh and cooked to perfection. We had the black and bleu salad and margherita pizza. The pizza is big enough to split with 2 people. Each person gets 3 medium size slices. We were very happy with the service we had and it's a nice relaxing place to eat outside in the shade under some oak trees.”
“Second time there. Split 3 appetizers and split veal biryani. Food was excellent. Tuba, our waitress took great care of us. Very reasonably priced and the food was very flavorful. Will be back. It's going to be our go to place when we go to the Galliard Center for a conference.”
“The food is phenomenally great!! I just love how well seasoned it is. Not too little not too much just right and the atmosphere is so laid back. I even got a free valentines gift bag with meal. I ordered the lobster and lamb with grits and eggs meal while my daughter got the chicken and waffles which she replied it’s BUSSIN!!! We will definitely be back again and again. I recommend it and they’re clean. Tastes like the food is cooked by Happy people. It’s obvious to the taste.”
“Awesome food - basil (Thai style), orange chicken, garlic lovers. Friendly staff, quick, hot, fresh, and thailicious! Thanks for a great lunch! Also, very pretty atmosphere. Very decent prices for good Thai food. We will be back.”

The Ordinary
“Exquisite and delicate food in this out-of-the-ordinary restaurant. The trout pâté is delicious, the gumbo is a meal in and of itself, developing multiple earthy and fishy flavors. The oysters are like velvet. We ate at thé bar and had a great conversation with the bartender. The maitre d' was delightful. The bar is impressivethe place stunning. It is worth every dollar. Merci!”
“My wife got a little big carrying our babies so I took her to get a wild burger here at Home Team BBQ. Was VERY good. The food was beautiful! You should bring you wife or your whale over. The small 2 comments I have are getting a true Dijon mustard and fresh black pepper on board. ❤️”
“Amazing tour and bourbon experience! Their experience, innovation, and local history are fascinating to learn from. Their Jimmy Red corn bourbon and whiskey flights are a unique experience you won't find anywhere else in Charleston.”
“Wine and Co is an amazing establishment that offers one of the most extensive collections of Wines and Champagnes alike. They are also local family owned and they literally make you feel like FAMILY everytime you come through their doors! They host amazing wine tastings and offer specials! Go check them out and enjoy a glass at their bar!@TheeHolyCityConcierge”
“Everything was clean ? Service was incredible as always. But the meal omg that bowl. I added steak. Used no dressing and ate every bite. And loved. It you gotta go try a bowl.”

“Very clean and well maintained. Good coffee. The usual type crowd, home office in Starbucks.. so arrive early if you need a seat. Clean restrooms. Parking is limited so you will need to park in the surrounding areas and walk. The usual long lines at the drive through.”
“The best pizzeria I have ever ate at. I had the spaghetti with clams that had a fantastic flavor that was out of this world great. Their sauce is homemade and awesome. I would have never dreamed you could combine the two for one of the best tasting spaghetti dinners I have ever eaten. The atmosphere and service is already the best thanks to April.”
“Conner was the best server! Took such great care of our shell fish allergy. Went above and beyond. Made our experience exceptional. Food was great! Fried Green tomatoes with pimento cheese, beignets, steak and eggs, corn, beef, hash, and eggs. Yum.”

“I was lucky to stumble upon Dellzville while in Charleston. I pre-0rderd their Harvest Feast for Thanksgiving. It was by far one of the best vegan meals I have had!! I didn’t feel like I was lacking anything with the rest of my family filling up on their traditional meal. PS..mine looked and tasted better! My only regret is that I should have ordered a second platter for leftovers.”
“I enjoyed my lamb gyro. The lamb was cooked well and the portion was medium size. Worth the money and would order my gyro again. I was embraced for photographing their product as well while in the environment. Friendly service and short wait.”
“Pho Saigon has been a staple on James Island for my girlfriend and I. While we normally do take out we decided to go in and sit down and we had a lovely experience with Fiona as our server. Fiona did a wonderful job and the food was excellent!”
“The lunch menu is fantastic and decently priced. I recommend the cornbread and any fried chicken dish. I had the chicken tenders with honey-sea salt. The pieces are huge, moist on inside and super crisp on the outside. It was amazing even eating the left over the next day. The service was great, thank you Scottie!”
“Beautiful place . Loved the music, the owner is very enjoyable and friendly. I thought I was listening to the real Frank Sinatra . The only song I really wish he could sing is Strangers in the night.”
“Such a cute shop!!!There are a good variety of flavors for either thicker or thinner small cookies! The staff is very friendly and eager to give out as many free samples as you want, which is also amazing :)The packaging for the boxes is sooo cute and you can mix and match multiple cookie options in one box if you’re indecisive like me- great for snacking with a group of friends! ?”
“Food was good. If you like pineapple on everything. I did enjoy the seafood dip appetizer. The chowder was super salty. And the conch fritters were very bready.... tasty, but more hush puppy than conch fritter. Drink refills were slim and one person in our party got the wrong drink from the bar and it was never replaced.”
“My wife and I really enjoyed Miller's All Day! The food was amazing, and our server Jenna was absolutely awesome. She was personable and interactive with us sharing her favorites and what she felt we might like. If the weather had been beautiful, I know the atmosphere would have been even better.”

“I love coming to Charleston and it's pretty hard to get a bad meal in this town, but Church & Union is one of my new favorites. Food was amazing. The staff is remarkable. Service was fantastic. Big thank you to our server Bailey! The GM Lawrencia was super nice and gave us some nice tips of places to go afterwards. We will certainly be coming back. A great experience all around.”
“Our server, Chris, was absolutely fantastic! And the chicken was amazing. Highly recommend this place if you want to try something new. The atmosphere was wonderful and the wine selection was good. They change the menu daily and it is all local, so if you want something different, this is the place! Great location too, right off King Street!”
“We were given a tip on this restaurant. While tough to get a table it was quickly obvious why. We had the rabbit roulade and the steak w wild mushrooms, but just as good as the main courses were the lamb dumpling appetizers. It was also a beautiful, refined atmosphere with top notice service.”
“Just arrived in Charleston and we need to find somewhere for dinner. Thankfully we accidentally stumbled into Rue de Jean and had a wonderful first meal in the area.We didn't have a reservation on a Tuesday evening and that thankfully wasn't an issue. We were tired and weary travelers and needed sustenance. They say us immediately and the restaurant has a nice vibe to it.Our server was incredible, greeted us with such wonderful energy, helping us feel relaxed and at home. We got the complimentary bread and some drinks and all was wonderful! My wife complimented multiple times how well mixed and balanced her drink was. We ordered the Sheep's Head special and Scallops and everything was great! Sheeps Head is something we've never tried and we love trying new things, even more so we love when they are delicious. Flavors were very well done on both dishes and portions were close to European style then American so take that as you will. Our dessert was the chocolate de crem and was very good, not mind blowing, but if you love a rich chocolate taste, this is absolutely for you!It certainly is on the higher end for prices so diners be aware. If you don't mind that though, we thought it was worth it. Enjoy!”
“I have a long history with this restaurant. I've eaten here since at least 1988-89 with lots of great memories. You can't beat the views of the Ashley River and marina. The food is good but not amazing. I've never had anything bad off the menu. The she crab soup is one of the best in Charleston, and the house salad is a great addition to your meal (don't give the croissant away that comes with the salad; it's drizzled in honey butter and has just the right amyof flakiness). The bar is very good with plenty of choices, including local brews on tap. (Try the Estuary IPA, if you like a hazy IPA.)Take note that the restaurant doesn't open until 4pm on weekdays, but it is open for lunch on weekends.”
“Wonderful food, wonderful service from an extremely knowledgeable server. It is such a treat and pleasure to dine at the grill. Once again thank you for an outstanding experience. 5 Stars!”
“The wood grilled fish was the highlight. Oysters were great with locals the favorite. Prices are reasonable and a great wine list with many special wines at reasonable prices. Ambiance was nice and staff friendly.”
“Another 5 star review for Amen. Our second time- years apart- seafood is plentiful and perfectly prepared. Drinks are inventive and delicious. Amen is cozy and welcoming- a touch noisy at the bar. Perfect location for a stroll for a damp art walk.”
“This Place will either make you hurt yourself or slap sumbody! It's That Good! I had Catfish sandwich. Hubby had 1/2 slab ribs! Will be back whenever in Charleston!”
“Great location, great food, great service. We had a wonderful experience. The chef prepares new jam everyday and my luck was that it was peach day. It was amazing. You'll love this place !”
“Sat at the bar - Billy is the BEST! Great atmosphere, fabulous food, amazing service. The bacin bloody Mary was the best I've ever had, the begniet melted in my mouth, and the crab soup was some of the best I've ever had. I'll certainly return!!”
“My gf introduced me to this spot since she’s a JI local. Absolutely love it, love the food, the cozy vibe especially when it’s not busy…Best pizza spot in my opinion.”
“Great steak house in great location in Charleston. The food rivals (or is it better?) than Hall's Steak House, but in a much more elegant vibe. If you want loud and fast, Hall's is your place. Had the Cesar salad and steak frites - both excellent. Meat was perfectly cooked to order.”
“I went with five other people. I had the baked oysters which were gritty like sand or dirt was in them. I tried the beet salad and even though I don't like beets, I thought it was very good. For my entree I had the short rib which was fantastic. The others had different types of fish and pasta with chicken. Everyone cleaned their plates, loving the food. I kept a little for the next day and even heated up it was so yummy! The service was just okay. Maybe it would have been better on the first floor or maybe they need more help. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to get a sweet tea. It is a beautiful old house whose past had me intrigued. I wish they had written about it on the menu.Parking: The paid parking lot nearest the restaurant asks $18 for two hours. Do yourself a favor and park in the parking garage a couple of blocks over. Two hours is $5.00.”

“I feel like every year this changes for me, however THIS place is the best sandwich shop in town, hands down. Nestled in a very small and intimate shop where if you're eating in you're rubbing elbows with people at a standing room only high top, this place had even a socially anxious person like myself not mind sharing a counter top with strangers. I still had shame over taking pictures in a public place, but that wore off once I bit into the first of my two sandwiches. My favorite of the two was the Porcini-rubbed prime rib (#2) with horseradish crema and cippolini onions. I would slap most of you for another one of these. Tender, nice kick brought by the horseradish - wonderful. I got in before the rush, and since it's such a tiny space with such a deserved hype behind it, you're most likely gonna have a short wait for your order, but trust me it's worth it.”
“My mother and I had an amazing experience with coming in, purchasing so much tasty food, and preording more. This place seriously had an amazing selection, and we are so looking forward to coming back.”
“Extreme professionalism and great quality of authentic Jamaican food which most definitely felt like a trip back home. Looking forward to coming again very soon.”
“Fantastic vegan food and Fantastic service. Got a couple of pizza slices and some lasagna, all of it was fantastic. The service was super friendly and variety of vegan choices is great. You can tell everything is handmade and they care about making quality food. Will be back again and again.”
“We walked in and it smelled amazing! The woman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. We got the zucchini chocolate muffin and the cinnamon pop tart. They were delicious. We can't wait to go back.”
“Food quality is top notch! I’ve been a fan of Santis for the longest and very pleased with the new establishment! The margaritas are amazing and the best in Charleston!Highly recommended!”
“The food was amazing and the service even better with Clifton! Really authentic place and would highly recommend to people visiting Charleston. We were there at the closing and the owner (fifth generation) made sure to introduce himself - a lovely touch!”
