“I had a splendid evening out with my family at El Charro Mexican restaurant. El Charro is a brother and sister owned restaurant in Irmo South Carolina. It is located in a shopping center and is right next to the shoe department store; the parking lot is tight but their is a lot of places to part.The restaurant has a large variety menu of classic Mexican food that is at a reasonable price for the quality of food you are receiving. In addition, they offer lunch prices, kids menu, dessert, appetizers, and a cocktail bar. What amazed me the most about El Charro is the variety of fajitas they offer. You can of course get the traditional fajitas but I would definitely recommend trying their other options which include: Charras, Mexican, Texanas, Hawaianas, De Camaron, Mar Y Tierra, De Mar, Vegetarians, and Mixed. All of their fajitas come with beans, tortillas, pinco de galla, rice, and cheese. Tonight I had the Hawaianas fajitas and it was to die for, but I wished there was more pineapple; I loved the spices they cook the food in. The Hawaianas fajitas come with chicken,pineapple, bell pepper, Charo, onions, and cheese. In my opinion the price was reasonable for the large portion we got. The price was $23.75 for two. All of El Charro fajitas range from $14.99 - $26.99. Furthermore, if you eat in you get fresh homemade chips and salsa free with your order. If you like spicy ask for the extra spicy hot sauce they other because it will definitely make you turn red in the face.When walking in you will feel like you transported into Mexico. El Charro has colorful walls, banners, Mexican music playing, and authentic wall decorations that match the atmosphere. In addition the place was spotless with no dirt in sight. The service was very friendly and polite. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly to us. Lastly, if you are hungry and trying to figure out where to go to dinner, I would definitely recommend going to El Charro because I will definitely coming back in the future.”

“The drinks were "OK". There just didn't seem to be enough actual coffee. The vibe is exceptional, neat surroundings and an elegant little seating area in the back. So, in spite of the drinks just being ok, the people were nice, fast service and it's worth it to walk around and look at the unique antiques. Very different. Worth the trip just to browse at the unique items. Prices are excellent on the coffees.Parking: Parking shared with the consignment store.”

“Stopped in on the way to a job in the area, and returned the next day for lunch break. Great spot for a quick lunch during a workday or on your way out to the lake. Price is reasonable for food these days. 2 dogs, chips, and a drink for about $10. The hotdogs dont taste cheap though, the chili is good, the relish is just the right amount of sweet. Strongly recommend the relish dog. The dill pasta salad was very good, obviously made with fresh herbs, and a good cool side item for a hot day. I could eat it as a meal by itself. The sweet tea is Very good, and that's high praise from me. The owner/operator is a friendly guy. Will be supporting this business every time we work in the area.Parking: Right at lunchtime the lot may get a little busy, but there was plenty space available for our bucket truck pulling a trailer”

“This restaurant is amazing. I'm a South Carolina native who just moved from Charleston to Irmo, and this is hands down the best shrimp and grits I've ever had at a restaurant! The grits are creamy and delicious, the andouille was just the right kind of spicy, and the shrimp were plump and perfectly cooked. My wife got the seafood platter, and she loved her dinner as well. Her fried fish was nice and crunchy, the way it ought to be.I do wish they had an up-to-date menu on their Facebook page, but otherwise it's a great seafood restaurant. Highly recommended!”

The three-course meal was delicious, and Angela's service made the experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, our son, Jaxton, was working that day, and we were able to take a quick picture with him, adding a personal touch to our visit. The menu is small; mostly salad, chicken strips, and fries. This is great for not only those watching their diets, but for children as well. Love the a la carte menu and that you can buy their delicious honey butter croissants for only $1 each! Prices are reasonable- around $5 for a kid's meal gets you chicken strips, fries, and a soda. “First time I've eaten at this location. The West Columbia location is on point in every aspect. In Chapin, things are a little different. Service is a little slower and chicken tastes a little different. I was a little disappointed but still satisfied with my order.”

“This is THE BEST Waffle House in the area because the staff works very hard and they do a great job even though the management has it under staffed every time we go in there anymore. It used to have two waitresses all the time, and now with only one it is hard for one person to keep up with orders, refills, checking customers out, and getting tables cleared, but the cook and waitress always have a great attitude.”

“Late brunch on a Saturday. We were in Chapin shopping and heard about their great burgers. It is a bar setting with high tables and bar stools. The bar, dining area and restrooms were all clean. There were only a few patrons when we arrived, but customers were arriving as we were finishing. We were promptly waited on and the food arrived promptly. The hamburgers were large and dressed with mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce, tomato and onions. I had wing chips and my wife had sidewinders (curly potatoes). Everything was fresh and tasty. We'll go back next time we are in Chapin.”
