“Made a reservation at Maison for our last night in Charleston. It was a wonderful meal from start to finish. Our server Allie was fantastic, lots of detail about flavors and highlights of the menu. The food was great, chef had different takes on classic French dishes. Maison will definitely be on the list of restaurants to visit when we return to Charleston.“
“Very charming house (like many restaurants in Charleston). The green salad with roasted carrots was fine, but the sea bass with crispy skin and a base of lentils was the best dish I’ve had in my entire stay in the city.Since the menu changes daily, I do hope that when you come it’s on the menu, and please do order it.“
“One Dish kept this from being a perfect meal Our waiter, (Dexter), was great. We started this meal with Mussels and frits. The frits was prefect vessel to soak up butter, coconut lime broth For our second appetizer we shared softshell crabs. This crab was served on a bed of corn, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers and gnocchi. The corn medley was so good, I think Nico should incorporate it into their daily menu. If I could do it over, I would have taken the option of adding a second softshell and made this my main dish. The wife's Scallops were perfectly cooked served on top of an excellent coconut rice with snap peas and a green curry beurre Blanc. My Duck L'Orange, was the single miss step in our meal. The dish was a bland and the duck slightly undercooked. Compare the picture I posted with this review, to the picture on Nico's Facebook page, and it is clear this isn't the same dish. We finished with 2 deserts: Mine was a very nice Crème brûlée that was fired table side.“
“Phenomenal experience. We were a group of ladies going for a bachelorette last summer. To say this place went above and beyond to make this night special is an understatement. The service was warm and friendly, the food fantastic and the vibe impeccable. They wrote the bride a hand written card and got her a thoughtful gift!!! They also added a portion of desert to allow for us to share. This place clearly knows what it’s doing and I wish to go back to SC every month just to visit this restaurant. Thanks for everything guys ❤️“
“In addition to excellent food, the waiters, Brandon and Nolan, were amazing. They provided fantastic service, were friendly, cordial, and always smiling. Simply stated, they provided a congenial atmosphere. The owner, Carly, came to our table introduced herself. She, too, was lovely.“
“We attended the dinner tribute to Sarah Rutledge. It was awesome. The food was delicious, the historic commentary very interesting, and the other guest fun and from all different areas of the country. Actually the highlight of our trip to Charleston.“
“Foodie here. This place is really spectacular if you’re into French food with a southern twist. The Mac and cheese is outrageous. The restaurant is very cool. Great music. Bordeaux by the glass. Nice bartender. Classy but not pretentious. From what I’m told this is more a locals fav. Surprised I don’t see it on more lists.“
“We enjoyed a delicious roasted vegetable crepe it had a buckwheat flour crepe that we had never had before. Absolutely delicious. The lemon curd and cream crepe was also deliciousVegetarian options: I’m not a vegetarian, but ordered something that was. So amazing. Very friendly staff. It made a great memory of our visit to Charleston.“
“Popped in for some drinks before dinner. They had some wonderful and creative specialty cocktails. The outdoor rooftop was nice, though it did feel kind of tight, not a great place for more intimate conversation. Prices were on par for cocktails in Charleston. The dining area looked great, I want to go back to try the food at somepoint.“
“Food is fantastic and I frequent Rue, but patio seating is insufficient. There's not enough tables and it's hard to get one.Parking: Parking garage is right next to it, but it is frequently closed due to music events next door without warning or any way to tell in advance, which makes it hard to make reservations“
“Scott and the whole team at Hege's were amazing on a busy St. Patricks Day weekend! We sat at a twotop in the bar area and Tiffany was our server. She was amazing and really helped make the night special. The food and drinks are always exceptional. We had the crab and shrimp cocktail and steak tartare for starters and for dinner the blackened redfish and steak frites. Hege's lives up to the Kiawah Island experience.“
