“Worth the drive! Went for lunch been wanting to try this food truck. Easy parking. Located at Firefly Distillery. There is a covered patio you can dine in on. I got the double rocket burger, fries, and chocolate malt milkshake. Burger was so filling, wanted to take some home but couldn't stop eating! The bun was delicious, the meat was cooked crispy, and I could tell the toppings were high quality. The fries were some of the best I have ever had, super crispy and well seasoned. The milkshake was the cherry on top. Old school with lots of malt. I can't wait to take a friend there for a lunch“
“This place knows what they're doing. Consistently great food, options & prices. Whenever my family & I are in town, we always make it a point to stop by. Never disappointed in Johnny's! It's a can't miss in our book???“
“Great little shack on the side of an Ace hardware store. This place should be Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I had the smokehouse Cuban and fries… Delicious. Service is great, prices are reasonable for the food you get, the atmosphere is fun/chill… it’s all outdoor seating. My only regret is that I found this place on my last day of a weeklong visit. I’d have comeback everyday and worked through the menu… although I’d have had to fight the urge to order the Cuban everyday.Kid-friendliness: My 4 year old and 7 year old would have no problem finding something to eat. The parking lot wasn’t too busy while I was there, but the seating is outdoor and right next to the parking lot.“
“We had a great experience with a large group following a baseball game. They moved tables to accommodate us and our server Brittany was excellent! Food came out fast and was excellent. We ordered fish and chips, nachos, wings, and burgers amongst our group and everyone enjoyed immensely!! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!“
“Blonde girl at register was patient and sweet as it was my first time. Offered some great recommendations. I got a “beam me up brat and galactic dog. Powerade to drink. Fries with everything on it(I believe they were called big bang fries) . The fries were amazing!!! Both dogs were delicious but that galactic dog was outta this world! Spent $22 for everything! Really good spot! Would recommend!Vegetarian options: They did have 4 different options for vegetarian mealsParking: Parking directly in front or along side of building… when it’s popping it can be hard to find parking.Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere with handmade robots! Kids loved it“
“We are in town for our anniversary and went to get burgers to take back to the hotel after a busy day out. Jonathan B took our order and was so polite and accommodating! As we waited, we watched as Jonathan B, Jamar, and Ty all worked really quickly and efficiently. They interacted so well with each other and customers! It was so refreshing to see young men doing thier best and working hard. The atmosphere they created made our evening! The food was fresh and very tasty! Thanks!“
“I have been eating Skoogies since I was a boy (in their first location (which is now a paint store). While I liked the old location better (heavily adorned in Chicago Bears memorabilia and posters, current location is perfect for keeping the spot a locals only treat. When I'm in town, especially with non-locals, I like to take them here for a yummy treat. It's hard to believe something as simple as a Chicago dog can be so wonderful no matter what time of year it is.“
