“My friend invited me here a couple of weeks ago and I'd never been before. The atmosphere is amazing, service was great and there was a live band outside. It was very relaxing and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Highly recommend.“
“I went with 3 others on a sunny Saturday after attending Brewvival nearby. We were seated immediately, right at the front of the restaurant by the big windows that were streaming light into the bar area. This is a fantastic date spot and venue for small groups of friends who want to enjoy some good conversation. I am sure I will be back soon!“
“I joined my husband Saturday evening at Havana Club. This is a perfect cigar lounge for those wanting a smaller, more intimate space where they can enjoy a premium, hand-rolled cigar. All lovers of the leaf are welcome from beginner to seasoned aficionados and they have a great selection of cigars. Plenty of beer and wine to pair with your stogie of choice and friendly tobacconists to guide you on your journey through their humidors. The decor definitely gives off a warm vibe with that old Havana feel. Comfy couches and tables to commune with people as well as a bar to be close to the action. They have several TVs inside too if you'd like to catch a game, but you may be too busy socializing with awesome people to pay attention. All of these excellent features and it's located around the corner from some great bars and nightlife. This is a gem on Spruill Avenue and you simply have to come to experience it for yourself!“
“Very friendly staff & environment. Immediately, when we walked in and we're greated...we felt like long time customers/friends/family even though it was our 1st time visiting. Good was excellent and came in large portions for reasonable prices. Great place for either a date night out or a night out with family. Looking forward to come again!“
“This was our first trip to Charleston and asking around were to go for dinner several people recommended Magnolias. We were not disappointed. The service and food were top notch. We started off with the Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer, they were fantastic, (wrote down the recipe to make these at home). My wife got the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and I got the Blacken Catfish. they both were great. If you want a good Southern dinner this is the place to go.“
“High Cotton is one of the more prestigous locations to enjoy brunch (as well as lunch or dinner) in historic Charleston (note: it's part of the Hall's group of restaurants). At the corner of East Bay and Cumberland, it is comprised of four large rooms three of which have lots of natural sunlight while the fourth is a bar in the interior with dark wood paneling trim. The menu offers a pleasant mix of Southern style brunch classics (Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp & Grits and the like) but you are paying a bit of a premium for the name and location. For our meal, we started with yummy Cinnamon Rolls in a skillet (very taasty and sweet, especially the center portion), then a Brunch Burger (excellent... really like the egg, meat, bacon, cheese and sauce mix togther surrounded by an egg brioche bun...the only way to have a burger), and the Crab Cake Benedict (also very good).Service, as you'd expect, was professional, friendly and on point. We had an additional pleasure to know that we sat in the exact same table as Ryan Gosling and Rachel Adams did in The Notebook (it's the small 2 person round table in the corner facing East Bay and Cumberland Streets). Nice...and we had no clue about it when we arrived, it just so happened. Enjoy!“
“I come here all the time and have nothing good to say about the servers, food, and atmosphere. Sometimes they have live music which is really a plus!!! Located right on king with a great happy hour and great cocktails!!! Rachel was my server/bartender tonight and she did a great job! The cassara is best in town!!!!“
“The service and the ambiance was a perfect setting to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Beginning with checking in with the hostess, my husband was greeted with birthday wishes from every member of the staff that we came across, punctuated with a signed card waiting for him at our table. The only reason I did not give the food a full 5 stars is that my main course arrived extremely over salted. They were very quick to redo the dish, accompanied with multiple apologies. Overall, it was a lovely birthday celebration with a nice live trio providing background music.Dietary restrictions: Pescatarian, dairy-free“
“One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! Menus was beautifully crafted and even prepared substitutions for my wife given her pregnancy. Amazing team that took care of us and got to know us personally in the 2-hour timeframe we were there. At the end, they surprised us with a hand-signed copy of our menu to help us commemorate such a great experience during our baby-moon.“
“Made a reservation at Maison for our last night in Charleston. It was a wonderful meal from start to finish. Our server Allie was fantastic, lots of detail about flavors and highlights of the menu. The food was great, chef had different takes on classic French dishes. Maison will definitely be on the list of restaurants to visit when we return to Charleston.“
“One Dish kept this from being a perfect meal Our waiter, (Dexter), was great. We started this meal with Mussels and frits. The frits was prefect vessel to soak up butter, coconut lime broth For our second appetizer we shared softshell crabs. This crab was served on a bed of corn, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers and gnocchi. The corn medley was so good, I think Nico should incorporate it into their daily menu. If I could do it over, I would have taken the option of adding a second softshell and made this my main dish. The wife's Scallops were perfectly cooked served on top of an excellent coconut rice with snap peas and a green curry beurre Blanc. My Duck L'Orange, was the single miss step in our meal. The dish was a bland and the duck slightly undercooked. Compare the picture I posted with this review, to the picture on Nico's Facebook page, and it is clear this isn't the same dish. We finished with 2 deserts: Mine was a very nice Crème brûlée that was fired table side.“
“Worth the hype. So good, went for the first time last week and had to get it again two days later because I was craving it. Huge sandwiches worth every penny. Only two tiny tables outside so better for takeout! Shoutout to Carolina Kettle - the dill pickle and salt+vinnies are the best!“
“Amazing experience through and through. From the greeting on the porch, the intimate table setting, amazing service, and even more amazing food. This resteraunt really curates an excellent experience. Once you order everything at the beginning of your meal you can sit back and relax as the dishes roll out perfectly timed. The chefs delivered the dishes themselves and were as enthusiastic to explain them as we were to eat them. Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and helped guide our choices. The menu on their website was definitely different than the one we were handed. Their menu rotates so frequently that their website lags behind, and that's a great thing. Don't let it scare you away from a reservation, but let it excite you for the surprises that await. We sat on the balcony of the back porch where there are only 3 tables and it was very private! This resteraunt is going into our list of required visits every time we visit the city. Absolutely try this place. You won't regret it.“
“Whether you intend to host a party or just drop in for a glass of wine and a bottle to take home, Wine & Company has you covered. Exceptional selection of rare retail and by-the-glass wines, including some with age, and all with character. Wine & Company is a shining example of Charleston culture at its finest.“
“My husband & I decided to have date night here a few nights ago & it was such a wonderful dining experience! The food was so delicious - full of yummy spices & flavors. The cocktails were also some of the best we've had in Charleston!! The bartender didn't disappoint with several sweet designs in the cocktails, too! :) Make sure you ask for Kristin when booking a reservation! She made our dining experience even more fantastic!“
“Renzo is hands down my favorite restaurant in Charleston. It’s first and foremost delicious, but also loud (in the best way) and cozy. In a city that often times takes its food too seriously, Renzo is irreverent and fun.Do yourself a favor and order the Korean fried chicken and a Caesar. It’s the best salad in town and those two items alone make a great meal. But don’t stop there. The pastas sell out fast because they’re good - make earlier reservations and guarantee yourself a selection of menu items. The wood fired pizzas are the perfect mix of crusty edges and soft centers. You get char and chew all on one plate. Finally, never miss a “specials” event, loved red sauce week so much the first night we came back for a second. Feast of the Seven Fishes is better than my husband’s Italian grandmother (but I didn’t tell her that).“
“The food is great as well as our server Paige. She was very welcoming and provided great service. The food was fresh, not to mention the view is great as our party ate outside for lunch. I would highly recommend to try this restaurant if you haven’t already.“
“Great place, excellent food, reasonably priced, and fantastic service. It's an absolute gem on James Island worthy of downtown Charleston. Never had something I didn't like. From a fine Charcuterie board to an Italian BLT... steak to chicken and waffles. Lovely outdoor seating area and an elegant yet comfortable bar. It's definitely worth a visit.“
“What a great addition to Johns Island. Jordan has an incredible knowledge of wine and terroir. The small group wine tastings are a great combination of learning, tasting wines from really small wineries, and making friendship, all accompanied by their delicious cheese plates. Can't wait to go to a wine and cigar pairing night soon.“
“Great spot with a wonderful wine selection and atmosphere! John & Rachel are so friendly and have extensive knowledge about the wine world. Love that they have a wine club where they select wines for you monthly and theres some cool events coming up like trivia and tastings. Will definitely be back!“
“Nice little place. Thanks to Jane, they were open, despite planned being closed for the night. Beer was cold and refreshing. Great conversation with the young lady. Despite her only working there once per week, she's certainly knowledgeable about the bar and the beers.“
“Cutest eatery in Avondale. Amazing wine selection and best charcuterie by far. Went on. Friday early evening. Staff were fun and shared all of the Women's' Month specials. I enjoyed the wine flight from all female owned wineries. My spouse enjoyed multiple tastings of cabs. We each brought a bottle home. The cheeses are davine - whipped feta is our favorite. Recommend going early as fills quickly.“
“Wonderful meal prior to our show! I had the clams with house made linguine and the pasta, buttery seasoned sauce was delish. My husband had a lamb meal and it was excellent. My daughter had a small plate as her meal and her girlfriend had a Cesar salad! Drinks were phenomenal and so was the service. Our waiter was very attentive and we even got a visit from the Maitre d! We will definitely be back.“
“From exquisite presentation to unparalleled freshness, every bite is a symphony of flavors. The ingredients were fresh, the dining ambiance was intimate and the wine pairings were perfect! The omakase experience is a masterpiece of tradition and innovation, leaving you craving more. A must-visit for oyster and raw fish aficionados seeking luxury and impeccable service. We can’t wait to go back!!“
“This is a great wine bar! Eric knows his wines and is super enthusiastic about all of them. The nice thing is that you can taste any wine for a couple bucks before you settle for a full glass. Eric is super knowledgeable and helpful picking something you like. We had a great time here.“
“Coziest most lovely wine bar in a former home! More than just a place to grab a drink while waiting for your dinner rez. Worth staying here for dinner. The burger and carbonara were delicious and very affordably priced for downtown! One of my favorite spots.“
“We visited this place while we are waiting or our turn at 167 Raw Oyster bar. Bin 152 is a hidden gem. It has a great selection of wines from all over the world and cheese and charcuteries. They recommended the wine once we told them that later we would be having oysters for dinner and moreover they recommended the cheese and charcuteries to accompany our wine. Great service, will definitely revisit.“
“This place is a gem! Awesome local taproom. Great selection of beers - IPAs, stouts, sours, they have it all. The bartenders really know their stuff, and is a Bills fan, who helped me pick out some winners. The vibe is chill and friendly. Definitely a cool spot to kick off a night on King Street! ??“
“Alex, the Exec Chef AWESOME!! She makes the best pickles in Charleston. Everyone at the Dewberry knows now how great they are now. Get them fast. She is due with their first baby in less than a month. Bought another quart. Thanks again Alex. Jim, St. Louis“
“A few girlfriends and I had a wonderful evening at Sermet’s tonight— the food was DIVINE. The ambiance in the courtyard with Keith Miller’s music couldn’t have been better. Our waitress was perfectly attentive and pleasant, too. We’re already planning our next dinner back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free accommodations“
“After many visits of varying kind -- date nights, friend hangs, solo stops, happy hour, casual dinner, cocktail pairing dinner -- I'd like to officially proclaim this as my favorite spot on Johns Island. Each visit has been consistently great, making it a reliable staple regardless of what I'm in the mood for. Head bartender Derek puts incredible thought, intention & detail into each cocktail he creates and we love sitting at the bar and watching him work his magic. I've never had a bite I didn't love at this spot either. The food is incredible & the chef + team in the kitchen are passionate about what they do. I always wondered why they didn't advertise more -- but it's clear that they don't need to. This place speaks for itself.“
“Great little neighborhood bar that was within walking distance to my Air BnB. It has a decent beer and wine selection. They have snacks as well. Vivian was friendly and had several suggestions for restaurants in the area. I was here early so no one else was in here but I'm sure it's a popular place. Wednesday nights is open mike night and live music every Friday and Saturday. Come check it out!“
“We got a bean burrito and sat outside in their cute garden dining area. It was no wait and quick. The bean burrito was good, not too big but good size. The prices are good too! It’s a great concept, small quick and 3 options. I love that they offer the bean burrito for those of us that don’t eat meat. Would be cool to offer a Gf option too.“
“There are places you go to eat and the food is good, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect. Then there is Muse in Charleston…We mulled over the menu for maybe 20 seconds when Donny dropped in on our table (after checking in with regulars, ensuring people saw the step on the way in and greeting total strangers like they were bffs) and altered our evening from a nice night out to a next level experience. He asked us about any dietary “stuff like allergies, vegan-“Me: “yup, we’re vegetarian.”Donny: “I’m getting you the Fettuccine Carbonara but I’ll make sure there’s no meat. It’s what you want. Anything to start? The beets and carrot plate is amazing. How about wine?”Me: “Red…”Donny: “I got you.”I haven’t tasted a pasta dish like that. Ever. Everything is prepared in house (including the fresh noodles), the wine was on POINT and just order the Beets and Carrots. Donny would approve…Donny: “dessert?”My wife: “we were thinking about it but we can’t remember the menu” (cuz we hardly even saw it!)Donny: “Trust me? I got you” and capping (until then) our Muse experience with Pomegranate Liquor soaked ladyfingers topped with a pistachio crumble alt-tiramisu apres’ unlike any dessert I’ve tasted. Now for the amazing part: we leave our credit card behind on the table. I get a phone call/voicemail that I don’t answer/check until 10:59pm. It’s a lovely woman from Muse informing me about our card saying the close at 11pm. We fly out the next morning… I call them, crossing my fingers.Donny answers, problem solves really fast by way of “I’m swinging past your hotel on my way to drinks with a buddy who’s in town. You’ll never know if that true, but I’m dropping off the card anyway…” So I run downstairs and three minutes later, he’s jumping out of the car with a take-away box grinning “you didn’t think I’d come empty handed, did ya?!”Donny, you made our trip. Thanks for being a rad human, serving tasty food and for the extra slice of pistachio heaven. May we all channel a little more of THAT in this world.“
“They served up a delicious experience. Truly a sip, bite and taste it good time. So in love with their space, it's an absolute vibe. Put them on your list to visit soon. I couldn't get enough of all the Yummies. I like sipping options so I had to get to sangria flight. Also make sure that you make room for dessert because that cheesecake is the best cheesecake that I had.“
“We had the BEST time at ABC! We saw it on maps and thought we'd stop in for a drink and maybe a quick bite. Little did we know we found our new favorite place! The service was so good, we sat at the bar and watched them create the charcuterie board right in front of us. Food was very reasonably priced and drinks were cold and delicious. After we ate we went and browsed the wine selection (3, 40ft shelves filled top to bottom) and left with 3 bottles of wine. There were screens around the room as well so we were able to watch college football. We will definitely be back!“
“Wonderful cakes in a lovely atmosphere. We are on vacation in Charleston, and started our day here to celebrate my daughters birthday. This was a great choice, they have birthday standard cakes, and gave me candles for our celebration ?.Parking: Next door to a city run parking lot, same rate as street parking.“
“What a great experience! Every question I asked was answered knowledgeably and with a smile by the tall gentleman with long hair and glasses. That guy knows his way around some meat! After taking it home and cooking it….. boy oh boy.. what quality.. my new place to get steaks for sure.“
“Phenomenal wine bar! It’s been around 2 years since I moved from the area. With that being said, Daniel and Josh recognized me right away. They make it easy to sip great wine, have a bite to eat, and a great time. Highly recommend the Prosciutto Flatbread with Fig Jam.“
“The oysters were Local and Canadian, very tasty. Menu is limited and posted on Instagram. We ordered the Halibut and pasta dish, both freshly made. They were delicious!!!Service was excellent. This is a quaint restaurant with a nice bar and sound system. Outstanding selection of wines as well. The staff brought out a scrumptious pastry for dessert as it was our Wedding Anniversary. If you're looking for something special, this is the place to visit!!!I would recommend making a reservation so you are not disappointed“
“What a great little find. Extremely friendly and courteous and the coffee was delicious. The decor is very comfortable and has a very nice 'soft' 'calm' feeling about it. It took me by surprise actually as it's in a strip mall and I was expecting just a generic coffee shop. Whoever designed it and runs it....well done!“
“Such a great idea! So happy there’s an amazing cafe and wine bar out there with cats from shelters to give love to and adopt! The staff are very friendly and nice to talk to, great place overall! We need more places like this around to help cats find their home and to have a space to roam and be loved onin replacement to them being in a small kennel at a animal shelter“
“Absolutely amazing! Adam our server was awesome and very knowledgeable! The hostesses were very welcoming! The bone in ribeye, the wine suggestions from Adam, the green beans, whipped potatoes, soft shell crab, and the wedge salad were all absolutely perfect!! I don’t think you can go wrong here and would come back regularly if I lived here. If I had one complaint at all was the bartender could have been more friendly, but we all have bad days. Great job overall!“
“Love the ambiance at Vintage Lounge. The speakeasy inspired, Architectural Digest award winning design, pairs beautifully with the craft cocktails. Service was attentive and friendly. We didn’t order any bites here but it looked delicious.“
“Thank you Steven & Hannah for incredible service. Great recommendations with food as far as the sashimi rolls go as well as getting a mix of raw & grilled oysters just be aware to order not over the salt display. This place is incredible though & has some great happy hour specials.“
“Plan on making this a remote work spot! It was a great vibe with indoor and outdoor seating variety from couches and chairs, to bar stools. Layout was open but felt cozy and intimate at the same time. WiFi available for workspace. Plenty of pastry/dessert options and the coffee was good with lots of flavor options. Hours are convenient for work, or a quick unwind after work. We will be back.“
“Great rooftop bar. Lots of seating on two levels, each with it's own bar and table service if you're seated. Great views, decent bar food, and good drinks.Wheelchair accessibility: Not very accessible. There are lots of steps and the elevator is small.“
“We hosted a rehearsal dinner and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Chris David & Jona were so attentive. The food was beyond amazing. We couldn’t be happier with how the night turned out. It was absolutely magical. Thank you Chris David & Jona for taking such great care of us and our family. And thank you Abby for helping us organize this wonderful night ???“
“It was our first time visiting Charleston and we had lunch reservations as this restaurant came highly recommended. Well, it didn't disappoint us! Our server, Ben, was amazing! He absolutely made it a great experience! Ben is the best!“
“JOHN was amazing he talked to us about the history and when he opened up this store 9 years ago! We asked her surprise us with a charcuterie board and it was amazing and he paired the wines perfectly! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice calm date to try new foods or just enjoy each others company!“
