“I have always enjoyed coming to Mon Amie and have highly recommended it to dozens of people. My early birthday breakfast with my cousin was nothing short of amazing until we were very rudely interrupted by the hostess. She proceeded to ask us about our meal as if she really cared, then very abruptly told us to basically leave because there was a party outside with a baby that needed to be seated because of the very cold weather. I love babies and while I hate to think of it being exposed to cold weather, that's not our problem. My cousin drove an hour to eat with me and we were treated as if their discomfort was our emergency and we needed to act accordingly. This was my cousin's very first experience in this restaurant and probably her last! Our dining experience matters just as much as the next person's, please do better! I want to stress the fact that we were not asked nicely, we were told. Demanded if you will! And yes we are black and they weren't! When I spotted the family with the baby I could see that they were sitting directly beside the heat lamp on the patio and they seem to be enjoying conversation amongst each other, so it was definitely the hostess that did everything besides basically push us out the door! Needless to say we moved on before we were ready to because we will not be where we aren't wanted!”

She is so bright and by the end of the meal I felt like we could be best friends. Texas Roadhouse always has excellent food but this was the best experience dining out anywhere because of Meleny's service. We will be making the drive from Simpsonville to Spartanburg far more often now because of her. She handles the service industry so well; always keeping a smile on her face even when the restaurant stays so busy. My husband ordered the filet medallions with green beans and chilli and I ordered the smothered chicken with broccoli and a salad. I highly recommend both dishes.”

The staff didn’t leave each server to their own table but instead helped each other and checked in with other tables if they thought they may need something. However, what I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. Regulars that have been coming here for 10 years were joking with staff and vice versa. It felt welcoming and at home. If I lived closer, this would be a regular weekend treat.”

The cheese quesadilla was loaded with creamy cheese and the tortilla was cooked perfectly, it was buttery and just the right amount of crispy. I do wish it was closer to home, but it is well worth the drive! Very friendly staff too! We will be back soon!”

“the waitress Tina needs another job cause being a waitress isn't the job for her she DROPPED 2 boxes on floor behind me she could have sat them down instead she rushed us to order never came back and asked us if we needed coffee had to get up 2 times to get more when she cleared a table of it's dishes she dropped them down on other dishes so that was very loud also she was right at my table and didn't even look my way then when we was waiting to pay in line instead of saying excuse me sir she once again was rude saying "you need to move" so I could complain about the food also but I'll jus complain about "Tina" the waitress. bad service can ruin the whole experience of eating here never going to waste my money or time again the rest of staff was great though..put Tina to doing dishes in the back so others don't have to experience her being disrespectful”

Mike loves their fried chicken and I love their veggies, especially their fried okra and collard greens (I'm a vegetarian and they don't cook their veggies in meat or meat products!). From our first visit a few months ago and every visit since, everyone there, especially Bobby and John, make you feel like family. Mike has cancer so it's a good feeling to see him eat so well and enjoy himself so much. And don't forget the banana pudding...delicious!!”

My family is vegan and we had plenty of options (gasp!) and my parents aren’t vegan and they had plenty of options also! Their teas are amazing, you can ask for no sugar added, which is a huge plus. And they have a dressing that is gluten free- the sweet gotchu- and it’s loaded with flavor. I cannot recommend this place enough.”

“Got here a few minutes before opening and there was a line. Very cordial and fast moving as they had 2 greeters and registers going. Plenty of parking. Waitress I had was Jennifer…very friendly and always checked in to see if everyone in her section needed anything..don’t have to worry about running out of beverage, as she was on top of it. Food - everything was hot and fresh..which is a very welcoming appeal to buffets, as sometimes when they first open..warmers aren’t always hot. The popcorn shrimp was a little crispier than what I like..but that’s just me and I won’t discredit them for that. Desserts…holy whoa..they “fudge brownie”…heaven on a plate. It’s the standard run of the mill Golden Corral buffet options but something about this one here in Spartanburg seemed different. It’s like they all have a friendly tone to them and it’s just very welcoming overall. I will be back and definitely give this a 5*.”

“I have always enjoyed coming to Mon Amie and have highly recommended it to dozens of people. My early birthday breakfast with my cousin was nothing short of amazing until we were very rudely interrupted by the hostess. She proceeded to ask us about our meal as if she really cared, then very abruptly told us to basically leave because there was a party outside with a baby that needed to be seated because of the very cold weather. I love babies and while I hate to think of it being exposed to cold weather, that's not our problem. My cousin drove an hour to eat with me and we were treated as if their discomfort was our emergency and we needed to act accordingly. This was my cousin's very first experience in this restaurant and probably her last! Our dining experience matters just as much as the next person's, please do better! I want to stress the fact that we were not asked nicely, we were told. Demanded if you will! And yes we are black and they weren't! When I spotted the family with the baby I could see that they were sitting directly beside the heat lamp on the patio and they seem to be enjoying conversation amongst each other, so it was definitely the hostess that did everything besides basically push us out the door! Needless to say we moved on before we were ready to because we will not be where we aren't wanted!”
