“We haven’t been out on a date in quite a while as dining out has become more of a nuisance than an enjoyed adventure. However, Sophia’s brought us back to life and gave us a new date night spot! From the greeting at the door to the authentic bread and dipping oil starting our journey off to a pleasant beginning. We ordered the meatballs and garlic bread with cheese and we should have just stopped there, but we had to keep going. We shared a Parmesan Chicken over Fettucini and I and taking a large part of my half home with me. And of course we had to bring home some dessert. We had seen the Bananas Foster Cake online but unfortunately it was not available so we have some Tiramisu to try when we get home! Thanks for an amazing night out! Can’t wait to come back! And pace ourselves a little more! So delightful!!!”

I did switch rice and broccoli for mashed potatoes and Brussels, and those were very tasty. We also got a wedge salad before the meal which paired well with the bread. Our server was very responsive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was very laid back which was so relaxing. We had a great dinner and conversation. We will go back!!”

With a bustling atmosphere, I remember his name was Jake, didn’t let my drink go empty. He made sure I was satisfied with the quality of my sushi and had even asked if I had any allergic restrictions which most places don’t do. He was kind, swift, and sweet! The host at the door, I believe her name is Joceline, was very friendly and swiftly sat us down with no problem, even retrieving a high chair for my niece. 11/10 would dine here again!”

“We love to go to Applebees on hillcrest side of town but we happened to be on the west gate side so we stopped to eat . Our server sucked she wasn’t polite and just handed over our food and hurried away . Seen her outside the window smoking and talking to someone that had just pulled up , she comes back in after 10 mins or so brings our food it’s cold !

“Todd from SBHs was the first person to get back to me after I made several catering inquiries online. He called me, personally, later the same day. He took my request over the phone, encouraged me to use his cell phone for any questions, and sent me an estimate within a couple of hours. When I texted with questions or changes, he got back to me within the hour. It was a small party, less than 50, so we picked up the food ourselves and he provided the chafing dishes and Sternos. Food was ready as promised, and it was delicious!! We ordered the brisket, pulled pork and chicken, Mac and cheese and collards. Our guests were very happy and so were we! Thanks, Todd, for the great experience!”

“The best steak tacos and cheese quesadillas I've ever put in my mouth! The pic doesn't do it justice, trust me. The steak was finely shredded and seasoned perfectly. The cheese quesadilla was loaded with creamy cheese and the tortilla was cooked perfectly, it was buttery and just the right amount of crispy. I do wish it was closer to home, but it is well worth the drive! Very friendly staff too! We will be back soon!”

“First time at The Skillet. Walked in because we wanted a diner and the place was full. One table open. This is a great sign and I was very hopeful of a good meal. It was lunch time but opted for breakfast. I had the Mother Clucker, crispy chicken breast on a biscuit covered with 2 eggs and gravy. This and a side of grits. The gravy was good, typical white pepper gravy. No complaints. Scrambled eggs, can't go wrong. They were great, not over cooked. Crispy chicken, yes, crispy and delicious. Good flavor and size. The biscuit was perfect, buttery, flaky and tasty. Wonderfully done. Great job to the cooks. Oh, the side of grits. Some of the best grits I've had in a while. They needed a touch of salt but that was all. Gave them a little extra butter and heaven. My wife had sausage patties, scrambled eggs and pancakes. Her meal looked great too. Tasted the pancakes, flavorful and fluffy. Not a heavy pancake, it was just right. Very good coffee too. I highly recommend The Skillet for breakfast and by the looks of the lunches being served, you won't go wrong there either. The staff were huddling to make sure everyone had what they needed. We'll be back for sure.”

Mike loves their fried chicken and I love their veggies, especially their fried okra and collard greens (I'm a vegetarian and they don't cook their veggies in meat or meat products!). From our first visit a few months ago and every visit since, everyone there, especially Bobby and John, make you feel like family. Mike has cancer so it's a good feeling to see him eat so well and enjoy himself so much. And don't forget the banana pudding...delicious!!”

The large cheese dip is the size of a small and comes with a tiny bag of chips that isn’t even enough for the small amount of dip for over $10.00. It must be some magical cheese. lol.”

They have quite a few flavors of cupcakes to choose from, and they are displayed so deliciously. My hubby decided on the lemon drop, and I went with the caramel crunch. They were so good...moist and flavorful. Two cupcakes and two small cups of ice cream cost $19 and some change. It's a little pricey but totally worth it, in my opinion!!”

“Get it while you can, this is a dying breed. Quintessential Gen X burger place. My whole visit just now could have been an hour of MTV from the 80’s with the Bowl game on all TV’s. Not being a burger person, I opted for the chicken tenders this time. Not the best, but okay. My husband and his brother were with me and they are both burger eaters, so they were both quite satisfied. The sweet potato fries were excellent, as were the regular potato wedge fries. I highly recommend the fry sauce. There is an extensive bakery menu and excellent shakes. Restrooms were exceptionally clean.”

“I love Indian food and had been meaning to try this place for some time. The food was so good! When I asked for spicy, I appreciate the man at the front asking if I would prefer "American spicy" or "Indian spicy." I opted for American, which was a good level of spice for me. So delicious. I am also not a big fan of mango anything, but I tried the Mango Lassi, and it was so good and creamy. I will be back again very soon.”

“My favorite place! This restaurant has amazing food, the kindest employees, beautiful decor, and the menu is super clean. My family is vegan and we had plenty of options (gasp!) and my parents aren’t vegan and they had plenty of options also! Their teas are amazing, you can ask for no sugar added, which is a huge plus. And they have a dressing that is gluten free- the sweet gotchu- and it’s loaded with flavor. I cannot recommend this place enough.”

I got in and out quickly and the team was working diligently and was in good spirits. We recently had an opening of another restaurant where I live and they struggled with the pressure of influx of people and had bad attitudes. Whataburger employees were laughing and very polite and were handling the traffic well. Also, food is delicious! I wish I had their names so I could shout them out but there were so many helping that I couldn’t get one.”

I had an amazing experience getting the Fiji Island Breeze with Fat Burner smoothie! I came in after walking yesterday(9/24) afternoon and the staff, two sweet white girls, were super friendly and ready to take my order right away. While one started making my smoothie, they both kept up a great conversation with me and another customer who ordered a Lean Green. They even took the time to explain the differences between the two drinks, which was super helpful. The service was quick, and the smoothie was delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back for more.
