“How lucky were we to find this place they call Willy Taco while traveling though Spartenburg on our way back to Georgia. From the seemingly simple cheese quesadilla ordered by my daughter to the elegant assembly of fresh ingredients in my trio of menu selected tacos, when our food came out of the kitchen and landed on the table we knew right away we were in for a treat. I ordered the first three tacos on the extensive menu, and flavors packed in the Brisket barbacoa, Southern tide, and the Patagonia steak tacos were nearly more than my taste buds could handle. I can't wait to find an excuse to return to this little bar and grill for another chance to experience culinary bliss.“

“I LOVE coming here!! I’m not a big red meat person however I make an expectation when I come here the southerner is out of this world especially with their fries!! ?? they say they’re homemade and I 100% believe them. They have plenty of delicious chicken and vegetarian options as well! (The chicken salad is too die for and you get SO much) The owners are really sweet and you can tell they care about their customers! Di, who makes all their deserts AND buns, makes some of the best tiramisu I’ve ever had!! I will 100% be back and recommending to everyone I know.“

“If you’re in “Sparkle City” aka Spartanburg and looking for a great latte or ice coffee, then look no further. Located off of Hwy 29, Hidden Bean is literally a Hidden Gem in terms of location and caffeinated offerings. It’s located in the basement of an old house, the atmosphere is quaint, eclectic and filled with the aroma of fresh baked goods.Give the Honey Latte a try. It’s not too sweet and topped with just the right amount of caramel drizzle.“

“Stumbled upon Nu Way, the hole-in-the-wall bar, and let me tell you, it's like finding a secret society for lovers of questionable decor and unforgettable stories. The exterior is so inconspicuous; I almost walked past it, thinking it was an undercover operation for the Fun Police.Inside Nu Way, I felt like I entered a time machine set to "retro chic meets quirky chaos." The furniture seemed to have survived one too many happy hours, and the jukebox played music like it was auditioning for a nostalgic sitcom soundtrack. I half-expected a neon sign to blink, "Welcome to the Twilight Zone."The bartender at Nu Way deserves a gold medal in multitasking – pouring drinks, solving world mysteries, and telling jokes that could rival a stand-up comedian. I asked for a specialty cocktail, and they whipped up a concoction that could raise the spirits of even the most skeptical ghosts. If you're into sipping on history, dancing with eccentric regulars, and feeling like you've discovered a parallel universe, Nu Way is the place to be. It's not just a bar; it's a time-traveling, laugh-inducing, hole-in-the-wall masterpiece. Just be prepared to leave with more stories than you bargained for!“

“Like most pizza spots they have special pizzas. But for me the Detroit style deep dish is the bomb. I love the thick crust and sauce on top. It's nice inside and lots of pics of Detroit all around which brought back a few memories for me since I grew up in Michigan most of my life. People were really nice and they added some different pizzas and they were delicious also.“

“In Spartanburg we have our share of establishments that serve various offerings of Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. I consider Bronco's on Main & Pine as a tasty diversion from other similar restaurants. The space is smallish yet cozy. On our visits the service has been consistently good, prompt without hovering. The menu readily provides multiple good choices both for adults and children alike. I was pleased to note several dishes not commonly found in the area, one being the Tex Mex dish over rice. Overall, a can't miss place for Mexican cuisine.“

“Been to several of the locations around the upstate, but this one the most. It is legit, thick, rich, creamy and the flavors are always changing. For someone like me who gets bored quick and has trouble making decisions the waffle bowl with 4 (seriously, choose wisely...you do not want a.sherbet next to butter pecan, for example) is the best all around. If you can't eat it all at once, as it is generous, the container it comes in can easily be snapped shut and put in the freezer.“

Rockers Brewing Co. & Restaurant Brewery • $$

“Really enjoy this brewery. The wheat/peach based Son of a Peach is amazing. It used to be available around Norris Lake in Tennessee but it is no longer distributed to this part of the country so I made a run from Cincinnati exclusively for picking up several cases. Well worthy the effort Also enjoyed the fish and chips which were perfect and brought out extremely fast. Great staff, great facility. Highly recommended.“

“My favs are the quiche, chicken salad croissants and different teas. But all food is good. Friendly staff, good food, quick service. Dining inside and out. They close at 3. We made the mistake of going at 2:30 and they didn't seem very happy about it. I can't imagine working in customer service and not smiling back at customers that were smiling at me. But no matter what we did, the guy taking our order wouldn't smile.Music stops and vacuums start at 3 sharp. My recommendation is not to go at all if you can't be there by 2pm.“
