I'm local and have lived here for 25 years. The two most popular Mexican restaurants in town are this one and Guadalajara. Neither are fancy. Both have been in business for a long time and are appreciated by locals. Each have their strong points. If I want a really good entree, I head to Guad's. I agree with another reviewer that the ingredients at Senor Max's seem pre-packaged. The atmosphere is awesome. It's a local small business in the mall! I have been to the mall for years and never ate there. Now it's my go to spot! Homemade salsa! Fresh taco salad bowls. Delish!

The issues my table had were a result of this and management was quick to respond on here to try to make things right. I appreciate this as I too manage in the service industry and understand the process of training a new employee.
