“The food and service at Abem Ethiopian restaurant is amazing!! We were craving Ethiopian food after having moved to TN from the San Francisco Bay Area and didn’t mind the 1.5hour drive after experiencing a selection of dishes at Abem. We enjoyed a large salad, veggie combo and doro tibs which we shared and still had leftovers to enjoy at home. Any time we’re anywhere near Nashville we stop at Abem. This is a family owned business operated with love. Hope you enjoy it, too.”

“I came here for breakfast while visiting from California, and honestly, in almost 30 years of living in the United States, this was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had.

This is a Kurdish-Turkish restaurant, and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The prices were also very reasonable. Our entire table, with all the food we ordered, came to around $85-$90, which was a great price for the quality and amount of food.

The service was good and everyone was very friendly. At times, our server got a little distracted talking with other customers, but I understand that they were just trying to be welcoming and friendly. I used to run a restaurant myself, so I know how busy things can get. They may just need to pay a little more attention to all the tables.

Overall, we had a great experience. The food was excellent, the service was good, and I will 100% come back again. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. You will not be disappointed”

“We have been awaiting S&H at the Factory for some time and boy did it not disappoint! We had the Husky Red Light Special pizza…BUT….do not think you don’t need some wings! They were some of the best wings I ever had!! Mafia style!! Of course we had to try the cinnamon rolls…they too were epic! We also had the pleasure to meet Clint one of the owners! What a super guy! He really took time to chat with us, told us a little bit about the S&H story and I can def see why he and his partners/business is so successful! With all that said… I know you’re wanting to check out Slim & Husky’s as soon as possible or as soon as your tummy starts grumbling,Ha!”

At our second visit we accidentally ordered a topping on our son’s kids meal that he didn’t want. We were just going to work around it but they immediately stepped in and just remade the meal for us. “This is honestly the cleanest Tropical Smoothie I’ve ever been to. Every time I come in, the store is spotless, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff always makes the visit feel good.

I also had the chance to run into the store manager, and she was an absolute doll. You can tell she takes pride in the store and the team.

I want to give a big shoutout to Jamaih, aka Mimi. I hope I spelled her name right, and if I didn’t, don’t get me! She always has a smiling face, great energy, and makes customers feel remembered. I come in enough now to be known on a first-name basis, and that really says a lot about the customer service here.

The gyro was sloppy, very little meat and full of lettuce. I will never get another one. My car is down so I did Uber eats and I can't tell you how angry I was that I didn't just order the subs alone. If I could have come to your establishment, I would have returned the gyro that I had to throw away. Uber is already expensive enough but when you add to it that you can't eat what you ordered, it's a slap in the face.”

Pull up to 1135 Bell Rd in Antioch and yeah — it looks like a strip mall spot with faded signage and a parking lot that’s seen better days. Walk in and it still looks like 2003 in there. And then the food hits.

All-you-can-eat Mediterranean buffet for $17–18 a person. Let that sink in. Gyros, shawarma, rice, all the mezze — fresh, flavorful, and absolutely loaded. This is not reheated cafeteria food. This is someone’s grandmother’s recipe being generous with the seasoning generous. We went for lunch on a Saturday and left in a food coma we did not regret.

The ambiance is what it is — dated, family-style, no-frills. Think less “trendy Nashville hotspot” and more “neighborhood spot where the regulars know what’s up.” Honestly? That’s part of the charm. This is a hidden gem in the truest sense.

If you’re the type to skip a place based on the exterior, you’re going to miss one of the best-value meals in the Nashville area. Don’t be that person.
Go hungry. Leave happy.

“The last time I went to Starwood was almost 4 yrs ago when I moved to Nashville. Back then the ownership was someone different and the food was awful.
Now, as of last night, the food is very good. Although I like to enjoy my wings a little more done, the Mango Habanero and Garlic Parmesan wings are impressive. They are really juicy and have a multitude of flavor. The Manager really respects law enforcement which I appreciate. In full uniform, you don’t know what you’ll walk into out in Antioch to pick up food to say the least because of all the “bad apples.” Security was gracious enough to walk with me in there.
The only thing I would say, if you don’t mind people smoking around you indoors you’ll be okay here. Unfortunately, as a person who wears contacts, the smoke doesn’t mix well with me.
Other than that, I highly recommend this place who really enjoys great wings.”

Tortillas are grilled lightly, cilantro and onions are a bit light, but the addition of their grilled onions and jalapeños make up for that. Green salsa is flavorful, red is good too.
Pastor was the best. Great flavor and textures. Loved it. Asada and chorizo were both solid, good additions. The carnitas was not to my liking as it was more just pulled pork, there was no crisp on any part of it. Flavor was missing. Not the strong point- but everything else was great.
Covered seating and plenty of parking. Great prices.”

I’ve never had Nepali food and looked forward to learning how different it was from Indian foods. My server Sushmita took my drink order, and I wanted to try a Gorkha Beer from Nepal. Sadly, they were out of Gorkha so I went with Taj Mahal beer from India…a very good lager. I wanted to try a variety of different items and informed Sushmita my spice level was mild, so I ordered the following: Chicken Momo JHOL. I’m still not sure if this is a soup or a dumpling stew. The Momo are pretty big, and there were eight of them in this dish. I would rank this “soup” as one of the best soups I’ve ever enjoyed and would order this again and make this my meal! The Lamb Thali is a platter made up of several different dishes which are supposed to create a balanced meal. I cannot remember what Sushmita called each little cup of food or sauce on the tray but the lamb was to be eaten with one, two, or many of the side sauces or garnishments. The lamb was slightly overcooked but wasn’t tough and overall this was still a good dish and an experience in itself. I did figure out the small round ball is the dessert item called Gulab Jamun…OMG it was rich, sweet, and delicious. The place is not much to look at on the inside but it is clean, and while Sushmita and I may have experienced some communication issues, she took great care of me. There are a few more interesting noodle dishes here I would love to try on my next visit.”

Unfortunately, I couldn't order everything all at once so I decided on the Loroco con Queso, Revueltas, and Queso con Frijoles Pupusas, which was served with a spicy vinegar-based slaw. The hostess also suggested the pastelitos and empanadas. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the flavor combinations were chef's kiss! I will definitely return to try more.”
