“The food was so incredibly good! We are from Southern California and this was by far the BEST Mexican food we have had EVER!I got the burrito off dinner with carnitas for the meat. It was so tender and full of flavor. My husband got stuffed poblano pepper and he said it was the best he ever had.I only took one off for service as our server was a more interested in talking to bartender than checking on us.Very off the beaten path but so worth it.“
“my boyfriend and i experienced the eclipse at this restaurant and it was beautiful! the food was so delicious, had my mouth watering.. the chips and salsa were also my fav! would DEFINITELY come back again for affordable prices and yummy food. 10/10 customer service as well!“
“Dinner here was absolutely amazing! Their chips and salsa were exceptional as was the guacamole we ordered. Very large serving on the small dip. Our drinks were delicious and strong. The entrees were perfect, definitely much better than your average Mexican restaurant. Service couldn't have been better throughout our visit. Will definitely be back!“
“Hands down one of my favorite lunch stops in town. If you’re looking for fresh, authentic, delicious food. This is it. Tacos, tamales, Tortas, horchata, enchiladas. They have it all. I usually 2-3 or maybe 6 tacos and a tamale or two. Never had a bad experience with my food or with the staff. I’ve eaten here probably about 15-20 times since 2021 and it is always good. They used to take cards. However last few times I’ve gone it’s cash only. So bring some cash. You can feed two people for about $20.“
“Best Chicken Taco Salad ever! I have had a lot of Mexican food in a lot of States, this was the best Taco salad, nicely grilled chicken and caramelized onions and peppers and great topping. Their salsa may not be the best I ever had, but my other two friends had wonderful large and delicious meals as well. Going back with our spouses!“
“This is our second time my boyfriend and I have went.We always opt for anything fajita wise. The fajita chimichanga is so good! Also, love the jumbo margs that are 2 for 6 during happy hour. Just wish the servers checked on you more often. If it’s was busy, I would understand but it wasn’t for the past two times we have went.“
“This place is expensive i ordered 2 carne asada burritos and 2 drinks 44.00 dollars i was like wow, I come from California and I travel for work and let me say these where expensive and the taste was bland.I always try small places to see what I find.I will not return to this place at all I can get better food in Chicago for cheaper.Be prepare to pay.“
“Go see Reuben and the gang! Since he bought the restaurant he has made some awesome upgrades to the deck, the menu, and the atmosphere. The deck is accessible, there's music and karaoke, and the food is great!Wheelchair accessibility: Both sides of the deck are now accessible.“
“Loved the look inside, authentic Mexican food, and super clean bathrooms. The staff is friendly and attentive. My husband enjoyed his burrito and really liked the red spicy chili sauce. It's really rare for him to compliment Mexican restaurants. I enjoyed my 4 chicken and potato taquitos with rice. We were surprised to find this Gem in Tennessee.Vegetarian options: The taquitos can be filled with potato only if requested, The flauta can also be made without meat.“
“Visiting the area and in search of some bomb authentic Mexican tacos, me and my partner stumbled upon this place and was a bit scared since we’re not from around here, turned out to be some great amazing tacos…no solo venían con cilantro y cebolla pero con rábano y pepino al lado! Las salsas estaban bien sabrosas y la agua de piña estaba riquísima! Oh and they also played nothing but mexican music, so the restaurant was just great all around.“
“This restaurant is very busy but the service is fast. Our server was so pleasant, always ready to help. The food was delicious, and the restaurant had a great ambiance. It's very simple but pretty inside. Also very clean. The price was great. Portions were very good.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian offers in the menu.Parking: Large parking lot. Well lit.Kid-friendliness: Menu options for children. High chairs available.“
“Fun spot - very low key but the food is TOP NOTCH! Chill and lots of variety on the menu. The Bombay chicken, chicken Schwab and Lamb Kafta tacos were dynamite! Love that they had $2 PBR - made me feel right at home(EAV).Kid-friendliness: My kid loved the thumping music :)“
“The food at either location is always delicious. They have great street tacos and a variety of meat choices. The service is always prompt and attentive. I highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: This is a family friendly restaurant.Parking: The parking lot is easy to navigate and parking is free.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is very wheel chair accessible and has a separate handicap accessible bathroom“
“Birria tacos + chips & salsa = everything you neeeed. My husband and I came here for the $3 taco deals on Rossville Blvd to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month. This restaurant is at the back of a store, but it's a full restaurant with seating and everything. Since we were sampling a bunch of different places, we just got birria tacos. We didn't realize they would also have free chips & salsa, which was really tasty! But the real star of the show was the tacos - sooo cheesy, so good, so delicious. It did take a good 15 minutes for the tacos to come out, but it was worth the wait.Service could have been friendlier, but we were just happy with our tacos.“
“Great service and food. It's a large restaurant and they are very friendly. Portions are large. Margaritas are excellent and the happy hour price is unbelievable. We are moving to Chattanooga soon and this place is at the top of our list for happy hour and Mexican food.“
“This place is amazing! Best food I've eaten in Chattanooga- fresh and prepared just right. Katie gave us excellent service!Update 4/16/24-- we are on a road trip, passing through Chattanooga. Stopped here for lunch. My absolute favorite restaurant here. The menu is thoughtful and inclusive. The food is fresh and delicious. I am a vegetarian and there are several options, vegan too. Our server was attentive and friendly. I would rate this restaurant many more than five stars if I could!Vegetarian options: I got vegadillas and they were amazing! There are several vegan options, too.“
“Do yourself a favor and try this place. I was visiting a relative at Parkridge hospital and wanted some lunch; I couldn't do hospital food. Called in the order and it was ready in 10 mins. The ingredients are good and the food is very flavorful. I'm pescatarian and so there are many seafood and veggie options. Pro-tip: Order a Shrimp only Ranchito burrito. Not on the menu Delicious ?“
“We were greeted and seated right when we walked in on a Saturday late afternoon. Our waitress answered all questions great and even gave very clear descriptions of everything in the food and making sure it was fine. When wanting to add cheese informed my husband how he can just trade out the topping for no extra charge. Always great when you're not being charged more?. Their strawberry lemonade is so yummy and our glasses didn't even get close to empty before another full drink was placed next to it. As we waited for our food our waitress continued to check on us and took away any unused or done items while bringing us more chips without having to ask. The food came out hot and was very delicious. Even as we left the staff was kind as they wished us well on our day.“
“This is truly a hidden Gem!!! Was hungry and in the area. Found this place when looking for a quick bite. When I entered the restaurant I was at first a bit confused, They have a few tables you can sit down to eat, but there wasn’t a counter or anything to order at. So I just stood there, waiting for someone to notice the 6” gringo standing in the middle of the room. Only took about 15 seconds for a very sweet woman to approach me and ask me what I wanted. My Spanish is limited and I understand more than I can speak but not by much. She asked what I’d like to order and reference the menu on the wall. I ordered 6 tacos. She confirmed my order and that it was for to-go and walked away. 5-10 mins later came out with my food. While I was sitting waiting I did see they scored a 99 on their health inspection!!! Way to go crew. Food was delicious. I ordered 2 Barbados, 2 asada, and 2 lingua (tongue) Tacos. They were served with just onion and cilantro and some lime wedges, also came with some homemade verde salsa. Salsa was extremely flavorful with some heat, but wasn’t overly spicy at all. Tortillas were fresh and delicious. All the meats were moist and delicious. Nothing seemed like it was sitting under a heat lamp waiting on me. Made fresh to order. I’m always on the lookout for great taco shops. And this one I will 100% be back to!! Highly recommend this place. Don’t let the looks fool you. This place is cranking out some delicious authentic food!!!“
“Excellent service and excellent food. Just delicious. My hubby ordered steak fajitas n it is very tasty. I ordered Arroz Marisco n wonderfullly delicious. And the street tacos n cheese quesadilla is great too. And my son ordered chilaquiles n he loved it. We will be back“
“The food was great, just wasn't prepared that it was a take-out joint. Had to leave and go to another business to use restroom and am not fond of so many downtown establishments using so much Styrofoam. A real plate would have been nice since I did eat in their teeny tiny dining room. If you are just taking out, it's great.Parking: Parking is tough to find during lunch time.“
“This used to be a par place, since they became el agave they have stepped it up.the biggest difference is in the cooking. I have tried out the menu and there some things that are way good.keep this under your hat, I personally don’t want this place getting extra busy, but it is good.“
“So yummy! We had their food truck for an event (super easy process!) and the whole fam loved their food. We had a taco combo and 3 quesadillas with different fillings - All delicious. And the hot sauces. Do. Not. Sleep. On those hot sauces.“
“Amazing food they serve the best Birria tacos I have ever had! Everything is fresh and delicious. The meat is grilled and smoked fresh out front, even the tortillas are crispy and perfectly made. The sauces and salsas are fresh and vibrant. The owner and everybody were really friendly and helped us pick what to order. I even got a nice refreshing pina colada to go with the meal. Make sure to stop here if you're looking for the best Authentic Mexican Food in town, maybe even the state!“
“So I was at Sabor Catracho on Friday the 27th, and my mom and I were getting food for my dad, and so we started to order. I ordered a Baliada con Pollo and 4 Baliadas for my siblings, and it was literally to die for . Also me ,and my mom and I got horchata a type of Honduran drink ,and my dad got Tamarindo a type of Mexican drink if I am correct, but when me and my mom got in the car I took the biggest sip of my drink and I went "oh MAN THAT IS TO DIE FOR " my mom said the same thing as well . GOT TO SABOR CATRACHO ITS TO DIE ?FOR“
“I went in to order take out, the place was very clean, the service was great and the food was delicious. I will definitely be going back!Parking: They have plenty of parking spaces when you arrive.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking at the front door as you head inside for a delicious meal.“
“This is a relatively new restaurant with a great bloodline locally. It is another case where I wish we could award half stars as it deserves a 4.5. What they're doing is fusing bbq and Mexican, with outstanding results. It's a very limited menu, with a dose of a tapas approach. Listen to your server, ours was great, they'll walk you through the proper approach to maximize your eating enjoyment. The menu is turned from what I understand on a monthly basis, they take sort of farm to table approach on their ingredients, thus driving the need for ongoing menu changes. It's a great idea, there will always be something fresh and new on the menu, so the limited menu makes sense. We had the oysters Al Ajillo, to start ....it had a mole sauce, who knew, I could make a meal of them. We followed this with a collard green slaw (yes slaw) and the porchetta. They're using the smoking process to an art form, and the options they offer are so very atypical. Great combinations, great food. Love the open kitchen, the outside seating, and the overall feel of the place. We'll be back, and soon, This strikes me as a place that could work its' way up to that 5th star.“
“This is high-end authentic. The choices and out of the box options as well as traditional items were great to see. I loved my meal of a seafood tostada. It was so yummy. I also had the bacon wrapped grilled jalapeño appetizer. It was perfectly paired with some guacamole.I will definitely be coming back.“
“This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in chattanooga. Service is friendly , professional, and fast. I have never been dissatisfied with anything I have ordered here. Caso is on point chips or crispy and hot. Salsa recipe is outstanding. Oh, and did I mention the Ranchero beans far better then the refried most places serve. I recommend the choose your own enchiladas. My favorite is 3 chicken enchiladas with lime rice and Ranchero beans.Try it you will not regret it!“
“I highly recommend the Gordita with Al Pastor choice of meat! This definitely seems to be more on the side of authentic Mexican food - take that with a grain of salt, I've only visited Mexico once. That being said, we quite enjoyed our meal. The tacos are served with a meat of your choice, onion, and cilantro and are delicious (the chicken on one taco was a tad dry, but otherwise fine). Lastly, our server was nice and helpful with questions we had about the menu. Give this place a try!“
“The tacos were authentic, the lady taking my order was very nice and made sure my food was correct and the atmosphere is like the little corner store in Mexico which was really comforting to see.Theres not really a place to sit down and eat and there’s no marked parking spots but it is placed right next to an old gas station that’s abandoned so there’s a lot of parking“
“cute little place that had very friendly staff and delicious Mexican food! I had a chicken quesadilla which was yummy, and my husband got the tingas burrito which he quite enjoyed as well. I got a side of guacamole and chips and the guac was also excellent, which is usually not the case at most restaurants. the chips however were not great, being slightly stale and without much flavor. they needed salt badly.it's not table service, being more of a cafeteria-style ordering/serving line and then self-seating, but for a quick, delicious lunch I highly recommend Dos Bros.“
“Take out served out of an old school bus in an industrial area. I had the asada, al pastor, and lengua tacos. They came with onions & cilantro and 2 types of salsa on what appeared to be handmade corn tortillas. Legit some of the best tacos I've had in a long time.“
“One of the best spots to go watch sports or just have a evening out to relax n enjoy good food n drinks. The Bartenders are very well verse when it comes to drinks n drink options, I always sit at the bar ☺, and the food is great well prepared and tastes great oh n the portions are nice so you may have lunch to take wit you. Love this place“
“My sister paid for me and my wife and daughter meal . And food was good here on Tuesday April 23 , 2024 . And all the sudden my very religious sister seen a white homeless man with a black beard and black hair . She set on the bench and prayed for him . And she paid for the homeless man something to eat there . She said the spirit of God told her to feed him . That's the first time I seen my sister helped a homeless man with something to eat there . She stayed in there until he got cleaned up and get his dinner from there . And she came outside crying . Because she said, she had all heart . Bless my sister for that . We stayed there outside until the restaurant closed . And we made sure my sister was ok , from helping the homeless man with something to eat there .“
“Very convenient and all the staff is very nice. On recommendation from a salt lover...go a little easier on the salt in the ground beef. It is even too salty for me.Parking: You have to scan the QR code and give them the license plate number.“
“Great Mexican restaurant for lunch or dinner. Good tasting food, nice quality and quantity, proportions will fill the hungrier bandits this side of the reo grande. So stop in and treat yourself to a great tasting meal and I know you won't regret it.“
“3/21/24 back for second visit and everything was as good as the first. First time here today, and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. Service from Daniel was exceptional and I’ll put the food up against any Mexican restaurant in the area.“
“This place is Legit Delicious! I had pupusas with rice and beans and my hubbi had tacos. I usually take pictures but I was so excited to try this. The flavor was on point if not extra, you can tell these people love what they do. The food literally took me back to childhood foods from grandma's cooking. The staff are super friendly and very attentive to everyone who was in. I will Definitely return.“
“Amazing experience!! If you are looking for the perfect spot for lunch or dinner, it is here. The food is tasty, fresh and packed with flavor! Great service with an amazing atmosphere. This the best Mexican restaurant in town. Recommend 100/10.“
“Love this place so so much. I come here for friendly service and cheap and delicious food. The building is old and it has some fun charm to it. And the workers are so nice, they’re like family with me at this point! I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants like this and no where is as affordable and delicious as here!!“
“The entrees come with one side that you select. No more automatic rice and beans! My son ordered two of their tacos and loved them both. Again, mix and match. The portion sizes were reasonable as was the price. The food was very tasty. Great service too!“
“EXCELLENT OPTION, VERY GOOD PRICES, GREAT QUALITY OF FLAVORS THAT FLOW IN EACH OF THEIR DISHES, QUALITY SERVICE IN THE MIDDLE OF A UNIVERSITY AREA PAR EXCELLENCE IN CHATTANOOGA.EXCELLENT OPTION, VERY GOOD PRICES, GREAT QUALITY OF FLAVORS THAT FLOW IN EACH OF THEIR DISHES, QUALITY SERVICE IN THE MIDDLE OF A UNIVERSITY AREA PAR EXCELLENCE IN CHATTANOOGA.“
“First Latin food (though it more like an El Salvadoran) spot; and I can’t wait to go back again.Pictured:1. Cebiche with white fish, reasonably priced, fresh, citrusy, and about the kinda fresh of a fish you could get in a landlocked area like Chattanooga. The chips were more than enough, I recommend ordering this to share, I shared it with my alter ego, she loved it; she doesn’t really know too much about fish, unless it’s bad; then she knows.2. Their classic pupusa, with cheese, beans, and pulled pork. This is the El Salvador dish, and it shows. Possibly one of the best pupusas I’ve ever had; I can’t wait to try all the other types they have. They usually come in orders of two, I got only one; did not share with alter ego; she getting kinda phat.Alter ego loved the mango salsa and thought the habanero wasn’t that spicy. Her name is Shego btw, because wherever I go, Shego.Overall:Food: 4.7/5Price: 4.9/5Support, eat, and ask for the Mango salsa.“
