“This having been our first time eating here, we seriously underestimated the amount of food we were going to get. The menu had so many delicious sounding items that we ordered several dishes. The portion sizes are huge! The only thing not huge was the mini Vegi Eggrolls, because they are supposed to be tiny, adorable little snacks of fried goodness and they succeeded in that goal. That being said, it was still a good sized Appetizer portion. The Tofu on a Stick was unlike any other Tofu Appetizer we have ever had. It is Tofu wrapped in Noodles, fried, and served with a dipping sauce. So fancy, crunchy, and so delicious! The Vietnamese Pancake was HUGE, fluffy, and filled with delightful chunks of Tofu and Veggies. They bring you Lettuce, Mint, and Cilantro to wrap around the Eggrolls and Pancake, which really adds a lovely contrast of flavors, textures, and freshness. The Asparagus and Mushrooms were cooked perfectly and in a delicious sauce. The Vermicelli and Tofu had a Curry Sauce, Veggies, and Peanuts. It was also amazing. Every dish was perfectly cooked and the flavors beautifully balanced. The server was a bit off standish at first, but she warmed up as things went along. She gave us excellent recommendations and brought the food to us very quickly. It is a small place, so we were glad we went between busy hours, as we can see it filling up quickly. The entire back side of the menu is Vegetarian! It was so refreshing to have choices. We loved every single dish we got and look forward to trying everything on the Vegetarian menu in the future.Vegetarian options: The entire back of the menu is Vegetarian. “We went for the dinner and it was late in night, almost close to their closing time. The place was not much packed obviously. The server was sweet. He hurried up as the kitchen was closing but never rushed us. We started with some pan fried dumplings. They were hot, steamy, and good. My husband got some tofu with veggies and I got myself kung pao chicken. Both the dishes were served with steamed rice. The portion size was decent for a single person and the food was hot and fresh. I would return surely.“
“This place is absolutely AMAZING. Jacob has been my server every time I’ve ever been and he is just wonderful beyond words!!!! He is always effortlessly efficient and always takes care of us in a timely manner even when the place is super busy. Last night I got the hot sake, jalapeño basil, wings and my partner got the pad Thai chicken and a ginger salad! All just so so so delicious!!!! Venue is beyond amazing for atmosphere and vibes. Sake is always hot and perfect!!!! I’ve gotten so many things off the menu and all are just as great as the next!!!! I just moved here but I’ve been visiting on and off sense last summer and Jacob has always been so welcoming and made me feel at home! If you’re looking for wonderful food vibes and atmosphere this is the place for you!!!!“
“I have eaten at A-Tan since childhood. Classic American Chinese restaurant, it’s not so fancy but quite good. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and takeout is also an option. Many items are delicious, including Kung Pao Shrimp, General Tso Chicken, and Tangerine Beef; their Hot and Sour soup is locally believed to relieve some cold and flu symptoms.Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options, I’ve liked a bean curd dish but I usually get meat.Parking: Several spots in the Plaza area; I can usually find one less than 20 feet from the door.“
“One of the better experiences I've had in a while. I've grown pretty tired of seeing menus with things like mashed potatoes with gochujang, or croque madams with chili crispy on top...so I was happy to see western flavors in dumplings, etc.Cocktails were amazing. Great flavors, well balanced. Their take on an old fashioned with pandan really stood out.As for the food, didn't try any noodles, but everything else we had was very satisfying.“
