“One of the better experiences I've had in a while. I've grown pretty tired of seeing menus with things like mashed potatoes with gochujang, or croque madams with chili crispy on top...so I was happy to see western flavors in dumplings, etc.Cocktails were amazing. Great flavors, well balanced. Their take on an old fashioned with pandan really stood out.As for the food, didn't try any noodles, but everything else we had was very satisfying.“
“We had our daughter"s wedding reception dinner here. Outstanding service, wonderful environment, superior service, great menu to choose from and delicious food. Price was reasonable and our guests really enjoyed everything. Thank you for the service.“
“Here because my friend Blake is terrible and someone needs to correct her terrible review. David was a vision, and David's drinks were a vision. In our time there we laughed, we cried laughing, and we drank some dranks. Through it all, we had our tour guide David holding our hands and our hearts. We were not easy - David did not ask this of us. Instead he gave us hope, faith, fire, and beautiful drinks. 10 out of 10 would go back and see my new best friend David - hopefully without that B word Blake.“
“So this place on a Sunday afternoonis the best kept secret in Memphis. The distillery is right across the street from Gus’s and the bar is usually pretty low key traffic. You can get free street parking, a comfy seat at the bar, well mixed drinks, and put in a takeout order from Gus’s to eat at the bar. This is my go to Sunday date spot; never disappoints.“
“We got lucky and got taken care of by the manager on a Friday night with no reservations. The drinks are amazing. They have a good selection of non alcohol and vegetarian options. The birria was delicious, and I suggested garnish with radishes.“
“if you go anywhere in memphis, make it knifebird. our group came in expecting to snack, but we ate every last thing that came to our table. from the friendly staff, to the wine flights, to the charcuterie boards, to the dessert - it was all so so so good! 20/10 this place is a must-visit!!“
“We had food delivered to our office for a retirement party. Our delivery driver was delightful and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. The delivery option was so convenient. The delivery driver set up everything. I would highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Italian flavors!“
“Found this one from our fellow Yelpers and it was another success. We were there for a lighter Saturday lunch, and I opted for the breakfast bowl, which was very good. My wife chose the chicken Chipotle ranch street tacos and they too were very good. Our server was excellent. We will go back again and spread our wings across other menu choices.“
“Had the pizza at the hotel lobby bar before. Arguably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in my life.Came tonight and had the French dip. What arrived was a Sandwich so exceptional that all other pretending sandwiches should be demoted to a lower category. Unless you are going to roast the beef yourself, and carefully simmer down the au jus, you will not find a better sandwich.“
“Came here on a whim. First time. Greeted and seated promptly. Not particularly busy on a Friday night. Server friendly and very willing to make recommendations. Good test of a neighborhood bistro is the burger. Large with an abundance of dressing, is slightly undercooked. Although delicious. Fries were as good as I've had anywhere. Worth a visit just for them. Several tables of younger single women dining together and it appears a faithful bar crowd with a permanent happy hour menu and drink specials. Will be back.“
“We went here on Halloween, and it was pretty amazing. They had the place really nicely decorated, and had a whole menu of special holiday drinks, all of which looked pretty exciting. Ultimately we ended up ordering from their standard menu; I got their mystery cocktail, which was incredible. Our friends recommend the hamburger as the "best burger in Memphis", and I am somewhat inclined to agree; it was really something special, and the fries were also delicious. So, if you're leaving some event, and would really like to stop somewhere to get a drink and something to eat, I really don't think you could do better than Cameo.“
“I arrived at the airport 3 hours before my flight, expecting it to be busy with holiday travelers. I was wrong. I decided to grab a seat at their bar while waiting for my flight to board. The bar was quiet, as was most of the airport. Customer service was great. The bartender recommends her favorite pizza. I was looking forward to trying it but they were out of a few toppings. I ended up having the buffalo chicken pizza with onions and two of their signature drinks. The pizza exceeded my expectations. The crust was crispy and it was drizzled with extra buffalo sauce. I probably would have preferred blue cheese over the ranch that it came with but it was still really good. I enjoyed two of their signature drinks- black panther and a thin line between love and hate. The black panther (vodka, blue curacao, grenadine, lime juice and sprite) was my favorite out of the two.“
“Great patty melt. I attended a birthday party and it was nice for my age group - grown & sexy. The DJ was nice and turned downed the sound for us to sing happy birthday! Cool lights. Bad parking as usual for downtown. Card reader to place order was having issues as well. Overall nice time.“
“Casual dining, the food was tasty. I had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, Pan seared catfish, braised greens and Mac and cheese. Nice serving size. You can order drinks that are not listed on the menu. The staff were very friendly.“
“My, my, my! Bar Hustle is The Bar, bar none! I’m chilling at Bar Hustle on a Sunday afternoon with friends and Juntao has mixed us up a round of inspired and personalized cocktails, based simply on on a quick round of questions regarding liquor preferences. This man is a master mixologist able to combine liquors, liqueurs, spices, citrus, and other ingredients into cocktails that will have you sitting on a bar stool for hours!“
“Service, food, atmosphere were all really really good. The complimentary chips and salsa were amazing, especially the green jalapeño sauce. I bought some for home.Vegetarian options: They are easy to please and can prepare requests if possible. We asked for arroz con Pollo with green bell peppers and no onions and they said sure.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor with double door entrance.“
“Nice location with really nice staff, a great atmosphere and ability to order some items from the steakhouse. We had some super fresh oysters and tasty burgers and cocktails. Overall price, quality, and service was a must come back. The onion soup was killer!“
“Don't like the fact that the dude did 15% gratuity. I said, "What's this about?" He said people don't tip. I'm like, dude, I'm a regular here. I always tip. Then brought my food out with 2 shrimp. Going I'm allergic to shellfish.Won't happen again,I promise youDietary restrictions: No shellfish“
“We gathered here for drinks after our dinner, so did not really eat anything. So I can’t tell you anything about the food. It was a chilly Saturday night, and the place was packed, dimly lit, and cozy. It was quite loud and the tables were a bit sticky ? however, I loved my time. I got a cocktail named clementine. It was made with orange juice, and vodka and some other stuff. It had some kick in it, for real. My other friends were also saying that their drinks were quite strong. Finding a parking can be an issue as Saturday nights can be a busy time in the cooper young area.“
“I'm not sure I need to leave a review, look at the previous reviews and the establishment and Deejay. The place is just awesome and Deejay makes damn good drinks. If you're close by, stop by for a few drinks. You won't be sorry.“
“Got a Kyiv Mule, which is roughly an egg white Moscow mule. I think it's a great idea. Was kinda expecting a high ball Ramos gin fizz style but the coupe was fine. Dehydrated floating lime wedge garnish was a phenomenal idea for balancing any potential egg white off smells. Probably could benefit from a dry shake first and and double strain(it was a single wet shake with a single strain). Tasted great, except the foam n feel was less rich and more bubbly(via no dry shake), and there were ice chips(some people like this though). It was $13, tax included, plus tip. Little exp imo for no dry shake and 2x strain, but still cool and not worth me slapping only ⭐⭐⭐⭐ only to hurt a place's rating.Besides the drink critique, bartender was friendly and timely. It's kinda dark in there, and sometimes music a little loud for me, but you can't make everyone happy ?♂️ I'm lame.Anyway, def worth a visit, probably worth more than 1 ?“
“I travel to Memphis every week for work - the Memphian and the Complicated Pilgrim is "home away from home". If this is home, then Tasia is like my favorite neighbor! When you come here, definitely ask for her. She is lovely, quick, and a genuine hard worker (I think she is here almost every day). We ate here for the first time because it is convenient, but we keep coming back because of great staff and people like Tasia! Plus, the fries are ~excellent“
“This is a great place to hang out and catch a vibe. Drinks were 10 out of 10. I had a great time here with my honey and our family. I loved the ambiance. Thank you, Robert, for providing such exceptional service! You and your staff were phenomenal!“
“My wife and I just tried this place on a Saturday night. It was awesome. Kind of had a NOLA feel, but in Memphis. The food and drinks were very good, but the wait staff was excellent. Ours was the best we have had in a long time. Everyone in Memphis for any reason should come here.“
“This place gets 5-stars for everything: 1) food (omg the biscuits and gravy all made in house including grinding their own sausage…so good); 2) atmosphere (perfectly bougie and moody in all the right ways); and 3) service (can I give 6 stars, or 20?). One employee, Christie Johnson, is now my favorite person on planet earth. After my great breakfast, I accidentally left a bag behind that I needed for work (it had everything in it I needed for a big talk at U Memphis that day)…I called the restaurant when I realized I had left it, and I was trying to think of the best way to get the bag quickly (pay a courier? Send it in an Uber ride?). Christie said she remembered me from that morning and said she would hand deliver my bag when her shift ended. First, what angel of a human offers this?! Second, the university campus is a good 25-min drive from the restaurant, so she really went out of her way to drive across town. Christie saved the day for me, saved my presentation, and then even followed up and asked how the talk went. I’m still blown away. Now the Bishop isn’t just a good meal for me, it’s a place I can’t wait to come back to again and again. Thank you, Christie!!!“
“Sundays nights are slow, but nice. Chris the bartender knows what he's doing if you order a good whiskey sour(egg white). He's professional and quick. The charge "for a whiskey sour" was a little steep to be honest(a paper plane w an egg white), but it was tasty.“
“Went for goth night!!! It was fabulous! Could use a bit more dance space... but the space is cozy nonetheless!!! The bartender was very unfriendly throughout the entire evening, however. Literally refused to even acknowledge me. Not sure what that was about as I've never seen this person before. But I'll give it another shot cause I know ways around these silly things! ?“
“The drinks were great and the ambience was very nice. No wait staff so all drink orders had to be placed at the bar with only one bartender working . Luckily it wasn't too much of a wait. We only had drinks, no food. My husband was very pleased with the Manhattans. I had a lemon drop and a Rubber Ducky Cocktail. The rubber ducky was made with Malibu rim, creme de banana, pineapple juice, orange juice and a cute little floating rubber ducky.“
“Had an amazing brunch. Arrived around 10:30ish am and had a 15 minute wait. Our server was very attentive and the food was great and didn't take long to come out. The freshly squeezed orange was my favorite!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian scramble“
“The bartenders here all seem super nice and competent. It s a cute little space. But y'all..I really can only review the patio area....which is every thing a Midtown bar should have, including good fans and sturdy chairs. 100% Five star patio!!!ButI m pretty sure the building is haunted. The little bar room is well laid out and decorated. It's not that the interior design is spooky or anything off putting. It s quite cute with a chilled out aesthetic. The staff are lovely and welcoming. So either their neat little vintage photo booth thing in the back has something extra or the actual shop space it s self is just charged up with some kind something. It s not scary or anything, just a notable feeling once inside that grows stronger the farther away from the door.Being haunted isnt usually a problem for a Memphis bar and DKDC is no exception. It probably actually adds to the experience. Check their calendar as their entertainment runs a wide variety of tastes and there s probably at least one night coming up that you d like. The lady bartenders I encountered were all very fast and friendly, although I ve taken to drinking only Sprite when visiting since the building is haunted and spirits and spirits arent fun to mix.“
“I'm never disappointed when I'm at Hopdoppy's. I always encounter great people. Ke-Ke keeps me coming back for her awesome customer service.Vegetarian options: My sister is vegetarian so it's cool to have options for her.Kid-friendliness: My children enjoy coming when we are having family time with my mother and sister.“
“My first time at Tug's and it was a real treat! Their menu has great variety but my favorite was the home cooked vegetables! The atmosphere was really really nice. You are right alongside the Mississippi River so nice location. This is one of Mud Island's great restaurants. The pricing was reasonable and my food was delicious! I hope to return before long. I highly recommend Tug's.“
“Every time i visit Memphis I Love staying at the Hu Hotel. The reason I started staying here is the amazing rooftop bar. A huge standout bartender for me is Malika. When I enter the bar she already knows what I drink and has a very friendly demeanor. We almost catch up where we left off on a previous conversation. You can not beat a experience like that especially when traveling… even if you visit the city often. I will keep being a guest at this bar anytime I am in Memphis.“
“i love this place the bartenders literally so slay. the servers also a slay. everything here is just SLAY. honestly you’ll never find me at another memphis bar. i honestly cannot say enough good things. and i was NOT paid to say this.actually i only have one complaint. this bar has NO pickles. actually had to change my review of the food to 2 stars for this reason. and i honestly i have requested them before and i had been promised them. but ive never seen any follow through. so with that i honestly to knock down a full star. but i wont because i still love this establishment.finally. the bartenders and serves here are SO chatty. take that as you will. and honestly some of the patrons pretty chatty too so you may love that or hate that.xoxoUPDATE: the pickles have arrived. i appreciate that this establishment can respond to feedback. will be updating my review to 4 stars for food. the pickles were so delicious thanks yall :)“
“We had the pleasure of having a great Dinner, we were Lucky to be served by Maddie, wonderful young Lady, so nice, so friendly, so helpful, the Restaurant has an Asset in Maddie, Food was excellent, great Atmosphere, thank you for a nice and pleasant Evening!“
