“Absolutely must stop place in MemphisWent on a road trip last summer and stopped in Memphis, heard many good things about Gus’ so I went to try it myself. This place really lives up to its name! The food was amazing, I’m not a big fan of chicken, but this chicken is beyond delicious. Best chicken I’ve ever had by far! The atmosphere is great, the service is great, and the location is convenient. Highly recommend this place to anyone planning to stop in Memphis!“

“I have never been a big fan of Wally Hatchet. It was always a go to at work because we were right down the street on Summer Ave. However, in recent months, I have managed to find one thing that I could return for. And that's the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It is made to perfection. It is the only thing that I will order from here. The staff is pretty decent and there is plenty of space and parking.“
“They still have it going on here at Gus's on Mendenhall! As I entered, I was promptly greeted by the staff and seated immediately. Once seated, my server Ariel, brought my beverage quickly and took my order. She also notified me about the special they had going on, which I thought was nice if I wanted to get the biggest bang for my buck. The food was excellent as usual and came out quickly. During my dining experience, Ariel checked on me multiple times and offered desert once I was done. I swear this lady has to get about 100k steps a day because she had multiple tables and I watched her take care of all of them. Gus is lucky I live in Atlanta, or I would be trying to steal their employee for my establishment.“

While our waiter wasn't the best, I'm hopeful that with time, he'll improve. I would absolutely return, and I highly recommend giving this place a try.“
