“The salmon here is otherworldly...but not like, what your mind would conjure up as some space-faring salmon. Think more terrestrial. What I mean is that I've had some of the best salmon sashimi here that I have put in my mouth. Fatty, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth salmon. Everything else has been great here too! Try the calimari. It can be tough to find places that do it well. Probably the best sushi I'm Mt Juliet since Hana years ago.”

“When my fiancée and I moved here last summer, this was the very first place we went to after moving in. Since then this has become our go to night out location. Great vibes from everyone, great place to catch some Karaoke on a Friday night, and root on the Titans on Sunday afternoon. You are more than just a customer to them, you are family. And it is shown by the owner who will personally walk around and speak with every person that is at the restaurant! I would recommend this place for everyone who lives in Mt. Juliet and surrounding areas!”

The flavors were on point, the meat was tender, and everything tasted homemade and dialed in just right. I’ve seen them online for a while and decided to give them a shot today… and I’m so glad we did. Hands down, this is the best barbecue I’ve had in a long time—and honestly, the best brisket I’ve ever had. No question. I preordered the biscuit box and waited three days for pickup, and it was worth every bit of the wait. The biscuits came warm and freshly baked, with a build-your-own setup of vanilla sauce, peach compote, local honey, and Amish butter to mix and match however you wanted. Sweet, rich, and ridiculously good. Yay to the whole team of dough artists behind this masterpiece.

“Last week, my husband and I finally made our first lunch visit to the Glade Diner in Gladeville, and it completely lived up to the small town buzz. The parking lot was packed and every table was full when we walked in, which is usually a great sign. The gal at the front desk let us know there would be a short wait, and sure enough, about 10 minutes later we were seated. We overheard that they were short staffed due to a callout, but honestly, you would not have known it from how smoothly things were moving. Our waitress was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she got our order in quickly despite juggling multiple tables. My husband went with the hot club sandwich and fries, and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with onion rings. Let me just say, the food came out fast and absolutely delivered. My husband’s sandwich had that picture perfect cheese pull moment that you hope for but rarely get, and it tasted just as good as it looked! My chicken salad was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. And the onion rings truly stole the show. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, lightly seasoned, and just the right texture with every bite. Easily some of the best I have ever had. It is easy to see why this place stays busy. The Glade Diner has that classic, well-loved feel where good food and friendly service come together in the best way. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again just to work your way through the menu. We are already looking forward to our next visit.”

“Stopped by for breakfast today. The lady behind the counter was so nice and extremely helpful. She was very attentive and patient which made my first visit very welcoming. The burritos were huge and they did not skimp on anything. The horchata was delicious and very well balanced. It was cold but not watered down like a lot of other places. They have a little cold bar with various toppings salsas, fresh made hot sauces, radishes, lime, jalapeños, cucumbers, and you get warmed chips too. “We are here tonight as one of the things on my list I have to eat at one more time before we move to another state next week. I will start by saying I am a huge fan and have have been since he only had one shop. When I drive Uber and riders ask where to go for BBQ I always sent freer to Martin’s and to try redneck tacos with brisket. I never tell people to go to places that I don’t eat at myself. I was reading thru the reviews and this one I felt the need to respond to. Great food but feel they should give you more 🤷🏻‍♂️ I always like this particular type of comment. No intended disrespect to this customer. Having worked in the restaurant industry for more than 30 years, the restaurants are there to make some profits as well. The cost of giving people a “living wage” and the cost of the covid-related supply chain issues have given owners two options, raise prices and wages or be forced out of business. A well run restaurant always tried for about 30-35% food cost and about. 25% cost of labor. That left in the neighborhood of 40% to pay everything else like rent, utilities, insurance and all the other monthly bills plus all the taxes that continually rise. If you own a building with a business in it the taxes went up tremendously after everything had been shut down by covid. At the grocery store the prices of most meats have almost doubled, other prices people think have stayed the same, the packages have shrunk. We ate at this particular restaurant the commenter was rating. I ordered what was supposed to be a meal for one person with two sides. I at about 2/3 of it and had to give up. My wife couldn’t finish her regular plate with two sides. Was the price high, yes, but the food was great.”

“We were unaware this restaurant had changed names from Los Compadres. We stopped by for lunch. The lunch menu was extensive and reasonably priced. Food was delicious. Portions were huge. With four drinks and lunch, we spent about $45, plus a large container of leftovers. The server was very attentive . We usually spend much more for way less at other restaurants. All in all, a great lunch. We’ll go there again. 😋”

Made my accommodations with out complaint and followed protocols. I recently was at another JM in the area and met with not so nice way when asking for gluten free. “My husband and I went to purchase a boneless pre-sliced ham for Thanksgiving which was pretty good. We paid around $56 for it. While there, I also tried their Turkey Pot Pie, but it wasn't that good to me. It was very bland and lacked flavor. However, I would go back to purchase another ham.”

“Until the past year, I passed by Firehouse Subs. Had been a Subway fan so just didn’t venture. Tried my first Firehouse Sub and it was amazing. Since then, I’m a happy patron. The management is sharp and friendly, the food is great. So much more than a sandwich. Online menu was completely inaccurate and the kitchen was 86ed on all beef items as well as seafood, so we settled for an average charcuterie board and some chicken tenders. I am disappointed because I had such high hopes for this place.”

“We’re still on the search for our go-to Chinese restaurant and China Moon might just be it.

We ordered online with a nice spread of: large wonton soup, large egg drop wonton soup mix, chicken with mushrooms, boneless ribs combo, sesame chicken combo, and bean curd with broccoli.

China Moon is tucked in a corner of a small shopping plaza and is easily missed because it is hidden. There’s plenty of parking.

Our order was ready within 15 minutes and sure enough, was waiting for us when we arrived. The employee was nice and offered any sauces to go with it. Our food was hot and the order was correct.

The food was really good! It’s been awhile since we had decent Chinese food. The only two things I wasn’t crazy about were the soups (nearly flavorless even with soy sauce) and the fried rice (also flavorless). Otherwise, the actual meals were very good and everything was cooked properly. I especially favored the chicken with mushrooms.

If we can’t find something closer to us, China Moon is going to be our new place. The 15 minute drive is worth it for affordable and comforting food.”

“Clean place, pizza is a great value, usually ready to go, professional staff.
My only complaint is someone, not sure who, isn't slicing with enough pressure, or with a sharp enough blade, because a lot of the time my pizzas are more scored than sliced, and it leads to dough tearing and toppings getting pulled off. Please, ensure cuts go all the way through the dough. I don't even care that the cuts are uneven, just complete your cuts.”

I’m a big fan of the onion rings and fish & chips, and of course, the food is only part of what makes the experience enjoyable. Brooklyn & Z made sure our orders were correct, checked in to see if we needed anything, and most importantly, they genuinely engaged with us.

What stood out was how they shared a little piece of themselves and made the interaction feel personal rather than just another customer transaction. You can tell when someone truly cares about the experience they’re creating for their guests—and these two did just that.

We’re happy to have found another local spot we can enjoy, and we’ll definitely be back!”
