“Discovered Mac’s through an internet search on our way through Chattanooga. We wanted to try something different that the other many great restaurants in Chattanooga. Easily made an online reservation. It’s easily accessible off I-24 via a quick drive down to Rossville. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Despite the casual name and relaxed atmosphere, this is a fine dining establishment with reasonable prices. Food of this quality would easily command three times as much in the hottest spots of Nashville or Atlanta. We loved the interior decor. Rustic with a unique vibe that some might call shabby chic. The menu is also unique. It defies conventional categorization. New South farm to table fusion tweaked with the personal style of the chef. We both enjoyed the luscious beef brisket that was cooked to a tender perfection. We shared the mushroom grits, cornbread with fermented butter, and a melon salad with cucumbers and spices that was delightfully refreshing on a hot summer evening. Finally we shared the bread pudding, which was the best I’ve had anywhere. As someone who lived in New Orleans for a few years, and consider myself a bread pudding fanatic, I can’t say enough about Mac’s bread pudding. The only thing that maybe comes close to Mac’s is the world famous bread pudding soufflé at Commander’s Palace in NOLA. This gem is a must if you want unique and delicious continental quality food in the Chattanooga area.“

“My husband and I were visiting Chattanooga and ended up here one night. Fantastic decor, ambiance, service and drinks. We went during the week and it was quiet, nice to sit and chat. Love the couches and chairs, nice and comfy! The bartender apologized because their speakers were out, and music was playing, just not loudly. Maybe it's normally louder.“
“I love JMac's! I have been in the past to enjoy a glass of wine and charcuterie board with a few girlfriends, but more recently, I purchased tickets for the wine tasting on a Wednesday night and my group had so much fun!We will definitely be back!“

“Absolutely love this place for their coffee, friendly service and warm atmosphere. I’ve met friends here for coffee in the mornings and have always enjoyed my time. A special shout out to Sam who has often served me early in the mornings - once bringing me a coffee across the street in January as I was removing ice from the sidewalk at Christ Reformed Baptist Church! Great barista/great service!“

“My friend and I came in for a quick bite and a cocktail a few days ago. Food was absolutely amazing, as were the drinks, but what stood out - was Adam and his commitment to unparalleled guest experience. We were sitting at the bar and talking about how much we love pickled red onions in our salads. 5 minutes later he brought us a little sample plate of their angry pickled cukes and red onions! We were blown away by his attentiveness and personalized approach.Thank you, Adam! We will be back!“

“This is such a gem in Chattanooga! I love the variety and selection of beer - definitely well thought out selection of beer and types you won’t find anywhere else in the area. Great downtown historic vibe and atmosphere - the people are very helpful and help you understand the way the taproom works. Highly recommend for anyone in the area!“

“My wife and I are new to the area, from Utah. We found out about this place through a very old episode of 16 and Pregnant and some internet sleuthing. The restaurant looked great so we figured we’d look it up to see if it was still open (the episode is 14 years old) We were not disappointed. We made a 7pm reservation for 2 and arrived about a half hour early to be safe. Surprisingly, there was no line so we were seated as soon as we walked in. We were seated at a U shaped table with 4 other people. We were first so we chose two chairs at one end. Our drink orders were taken and filled quickly and the table was full by 6:45, when our food orders were taken. The chef showed up soon after and started cooking. The restaurant was full as far as I could tell by 7 so I’m glad we showed up early. The food was amazing-sauce. I especially enjoyed the tasty hibachi chicken and shrimp my wife shared with me. 10/5 stars.“

“When we walked in a group of three workers just stared at us until a waitress walked by and I guess told them to acknowledge us. We then got seated and Josh was our server and he was great. The food wasn't bad but wasn't anything crazy good.“

“I love the new vibe, that you can make reservations and the signature cocktail for March. I also love that they don't rush you just to make room for another customer. On Signal, it's wise to start with limited days/hours. The appetizers & desserts are wonderful.Sadly, both times I have had a full dinner (fairly early in the evening), the dish I wanted wasn't available. The chicken dish I ordered instead had wonderful sides & I loved the rosemary sauce, but the chicken was way over cooked.I understand that a new chef is coming in a couple of weeks. Hope the next time the main course will be better. This week, I went back with a different friend and we split the veggie pizza which was delicious...the new chef is there & I think the dinner experience will be much better going forward!Wheelchair accessibility: Available parking overall is limited (nothing the restaurant can do about it), but the handicap parking was fine and there's a new ramp to assist.“
