“We stopped in Alpine for a few days on our way to Big Bend and found this gem. Great history, great place and great bar. They offered a very unique machine frozen drink - a frozen gin and tonic that was the BOMB! So good and fun. Bartender Molly was friendly, informative and great at her job. Definitely a spot to return to when we head this way again.”

“Delicious! I’m visiting from San Antonio and my family is from Monterrey so I was a little hesitant going out to eat mexican food so far from home but omg it was delicious. Actually best torta I have ever had. So good. I recommend the torta de barbacoa with extra avocado. We circled around the whole little town looking for what was open and what looked good and ended up here and I’m really glad. :)”

“Great little BBQ place, the boys know how to brisket. Great smoke ring, creative adds on the menu. Home town feel, the kind of low key, friendly place you’d end up at after church on a Sunday. Brisket fries were a treat that hit the snack sweet spot. And where else are you going to have that snack while eating with a little old lady, the local football coach and a couple of patched bikers? Cash Only and no beers.”

We were beginning to think that Mikey-D’s was going to be our only option until we went exploring and found this delightful little place open.
