“We got there just before the lunch rush, so seating for 6+ was alright. It gets BUSY though, and I can see why. Irene was great, attentive, and helpful in choosing what to order. The food was incredible. All six of us left only crumbs, including the delicious banana pudding. I'd return regularly. Great value, great food, great service.“
“fyi the gumbo is not seafood but imitation crab meat sausage shrimp and shredded chicken. Taste good but it was Friday during lent and I cld not eat it. Waitress said it was seafood gumbo. I am from New Orleans and it was not. Next day it was good though after picking out the imitation grab. Large portions of Catfish and shrimp. The 2 Catfish and 6 shrimp was plenty to eat! I wld go back.Kid-friendliness: Kids meals.“
“My husband and I stopped in for lunch. It was our first time visit there. What a treat. We both had a scoop of the Fancy Nancy and a cup of the loaded potato soup. Both were equally delicious. Loved the cookies they gave as dessert too. The portions were generous. The staff were very friendly. We definitely will go again.“
“Wonderfully friendly staff! Excellent food. Xae, our server, was wonderful and knowledgeable, dealing with my black pepper allergy. The honey buttery croissants were delicious! The food was served hot and timed well. My medium T-bone steak was cooked to perfection! My tiki island drink was super tasty! Enough alcohol but not overwhelming!Dietary restrictions: Work well with food allergies.“
“Food/Taste/ - ordered a Cat Fish Dinner with brisket gumbo and cowboy mac & cheese with a full slab of ribs. The cat fish was recommended and fried superbly with a crispy outside and a moist inside. The lemon based rub added a tartness that went well with the tartar sauce. The mac & cheese was good but quite salty depending on the bite so it wasn't our favorite. The gumbo was very tomato based and quite yummy overall. The ribs were fall off the bone tender that you don't need a knife at all! Absolutely delicious with a touch of smokiness that goes so well with the BBQ sauce. - super friendly owners but it does depend on who you get. The gentleman was chatting with the other table and interacting with their children providing samples of drinks and sides for them to try. The lady was to the point and really quick on the service but think she was juggling the cooking as well. - scary looking place from the outside but cozy once you walk in. It was a tiny place with only 6 tables. And while it's worn, the tables are cleaned and wiped down (but the windowsills are quite dusty with dead flies). It can get quite smokey in the restaurant depending on what's being cookedValue for - delicious food at a reasonable price point. So happy we gave this place a try!“
