“Don't let the looks of this place deceive you. The food was excellent and very authentic. Price was very reasonable. Best food we've had on our week long trip to CO. Make sure you bring cash though, as they don't accept credit cards.“

“Greetings from Colorado! Im not a local which means Ive seen my share of Asian cuisine spots. Some of the best sweet and sour chicken that's ever crossed my lips... you have to try their mint cucumber drink. Hands down the best I've ever had! Very quick and prompt with readiness of food! Excellent well mannered youngins behind the counter taking your order. Keep up the good work! Over all experience, very impressed! Highly recommend!“
“Our food was delicious and served promptly, our servers were polite and attentive. We’ve been here several times and always enjoyed our visits. The decorations are a little spartan but definitely appropriate. They don’t make my A list but they’re not far off of it.“

“Tried a new spot on 6th Street last night and WOW — I was skeptical at first to try a new place, so I played it safe with chicken fried rice plus the seasoning paste for Pad Ki Mao, and it was AMAZING. Fresh ingredients and hands-down some of the best flavor I’ve had in a long time. 😍 We also shared the Pad Kra Pao and spring rolls, and both were excellent. The restaurant was clean, and the service from Avery and Bo was top-notch! I’ve heard the Kra Pao fried rice is even better, so that’s definitely next on my list. Highly recommend this place! 🍜✨“

“My wife & I have been eating here quite a bit the last month or two & have been eating variety of dishes (about 15 so far) on the menu. We have been very delighted with all the dishes! The pics I’ve attached show two of our favorites! The spring rolls are superb and the Udon Pad Kee Mao with pork is excellent!!! Due to dietary constraints, we order it without bean sprouts. We also omit the Asian basal. (We haven’t acquired a taste for Asian basal.) However, the chef staff has ALWAYS made the changes we requested, without fail!!!
The service is outstanding! (Yes, there is some wait time if they have a full house..which is a challenge for them. BUT, all food is cooked from scratch! It is worth the wait!!!) The ladies there are top notch! We love them ALL for their great smiles, attitude, and sincerity!!! They work HARD! The restaurant is nicely decorated, very clean and relaxing to us! For freshly cooked dishes, fresh vegetables, fresh noodles, lean fresh meats and great cooking Asian skills, only 5 stars seem insufficient for the enjoyment we derive by frequenting this establishment!!! The only thing missing is Asian duck dishes which we love so much. (Maybe, they might run some specials featuring occasional new menu items on a limited basis!!!)
However, this is definitely a working man’s restaurant! If you’re familiar with Asia, you’ll taste the tastes of their culture here in Amarillo!!!“

“We are blessed to have so much amazing international cuisine in Amarillo. While there are many spread about the town, the greatest concentration is along Amarillo Boulevard, aka Route 66. There you will find Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, Somalian, and more. And if you want to escape from there banalities of typical American cuisine, this is the place to do it.I had reason to venture to Amarillo’s north side to hit a Mexican fruiteria today, and then chose Thai Garden on the Boulevard for dinner. It is a very unassuming place, not among the highest class of Thai restaurants their government has subsidized through their gastro-tourism program the last two decades. But pretense does not always mean good food; I’d rather keep it simple and just have good food.Which is exactly what Thai Garden served. I went with the Yellow Curry, a hearty plateful of veggies and spicy coconut milk with a side of steamed rice. I was in heaven; I give the heat factor a rating of 2 out of 5, enough to get my attention, but not enough to have me sweating or crying. It was just right.I took the time to look around, and as per my usual assessment when dining at International restaurants, I wanted to see how I fit into the crowd. To my liking, I was the only white guy in the place, which is a good sign. It means that this is no corporate chain with faux food, but rather a place that has a loyal following among its own people.Better yet, this is on the Mother Road, and restaurants like this represent the future of the road. I give Thai Garden two thumbs up, and shall promote among the many Route 66 travelers I know who journey across this road each year.“

“Everything was amazing we ordered a large sticky rice and jerky and an order of the glass noodles… hands down the best glass noodles I’ve had in a long time, sticky rice and jerky were both really good as well as the tomato and fish sauces… the only complaint I have is the portion size of rice to jerky for the large order… I feel like there could of been more rice for the price and for how much jerky is in the large…. But other than that this will definitely be a go to from now on!
Edited to add that I can’t wait to try more of the dishes 🤪“

“Sunday nights can be a difficult time to dine in Amarillo, because it is around 3pm that the city becomes practically a food desert. It’s mostly the big chains that remain open; the Mom and Pop joints turn off the lights and don’t return until Tuesday.
But I was elated to find My Thai open one recent Sunday evening. I had narrowed my search to “Thai food near me,” and this was the only Asian-ish place open among the search results. It had been many years since I had been, primarily because I don’t find myself in that part of town often, but I was hungry.
I was quickly impressed by how much takeaway business they do, which may very well be part of the Sunday factor. They had a 6-foot table set up with bagged orders waiting for customers to arrive. That said, there were still easily a dozen tables occupied for in-house dining. The menu is actually rather short and compact for a Thai place, where I routine expect six to eight pages of curries, Pad this-and-that, and so forth. I quickly spied Pad See Ew (which they spell phonetically, Pad Ci-U, and ordered it with tofu. From order time to plate on my table, only 10 minutes elapsed, not bad for a place that was easily serving more meals to go than for dine-in.
The food was delicious, the price very affordable, and the serving size abundant. I left feeling just fine…not hungry, not stuffed. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to include tofu as a protein option for many of the other items they list. Asian food is for the most part very scalable; it’s easy to sub one thing for another, and tofu for chicken in a yellow curry is no big stretch. Perhaps they would do this upon request (which I don’t know), but it would be nice for non-carnivorous patrons to know they have more choices than what appear.
Overall, a great dining experience, one I hope to repeat soon!
Vegetarian options: Four items list tofu as a protein option, but I bet it could be subbed on many other dishes.“

“Terrible customer service. We come to this establishment MULTIPLE times a week and order the exact same thing everytime. I noticed my order was not correct (extra noodles) and "Sky" wanted to argue about me not ordering "extra noodles". After she continued to argue with me, I informed her I would take it as it is and we would just never be back due to the disrespect. She said "okay". Loyal customers for years and this is how they treat them. We will gladly take our money elsewhere.“

“Great Pad Kee mao and some of the best sushi. The (King Ball) roll was very tasty and affordable considering its sushi. 10/10 one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve had in a while and the people that worked there were so kind and generous to everyone. This place is a hidden gem!!“

“This is one of my favorites, try beef jerky and sticky rice. Pad Ci U is an awesome noodle dish and if you like it spicy try Pad Key Mouw (spelling wrong). Also the combination fried rice is delicious. The food is amazing and the service is amazing. However, I always get take out don't like dining in, they need to update and update bathrooms. However that could be done, I wouldn't know.“

“Ramen and rice bowls are the staples. the food is amazing here by far the best asian food you can get in amarillo. stick to what you know you will like, if you are unsure of what to get, then get the ichiban ramen or one of the rice bowls.
the only bad parts about dining here is the time you wait, you can get your food anywhere from 20 mins up to an hour, however it is completely worth the wait. Not a quick stop but a good one.
Its a hole in the wall so limited seating and limited time they are only open for a very short amount of time and close early compared to other places in amarillo but they are family owned. kind and friendly staff“

The lunch special menu is typical Asian fair and an excellent value- which is getting to be pretty rare these days.“
