“We love their cajun food, but mainly go for the beignets. They are soo good. Food is pricey, but it's seafood. As you can see, they are dog friendly if you sit on patio. Only complaint is they are no servers, you order at counter, and they bring you your food. You have to get refills or anything else you may need.“
“This is the best kept secret in Angleton! My husband was searching for a seafood restaurant that wasn’t so commercial, yet good, and affordable! He hit the jackpot with this place! We have been to this place twice and when I tell you the food is plentiful for price, served hot, and fresh! The food is delicious and to top it off the service is like being in a 5 star restaurant! I haven’t tried everything but the fish and shrimp are seasoned well and fried to perfection! They don’t pile your plate up with French fries to make the plate look full; they give you large pieces of fish! The hostess remembered my granddaughter (she loves the attention) and the waitresses are attentive, friendly and thorough! “Visited this facility today and had a barbecue chicken baked potato. Not only was the food cooked fresh to order, but the staff and service was immaculate! “This is one of the most amazing places I have ate at in a while they were so kind with the service and the food was absolutely delicious. I don't know our waiters name but I know that she had a tie-dye phone in her back pocket and she was so sweet. I got the Texas style boneless wings tossed in lemon pepper and I can tell you so good they were not full of Grease they were crunchy the chicken was juicy and yummy.“

Servers should practice the art of friendly engagement with customers; a smile and a warm welcome would be appreciated. Sliding food across the table to a customer is a faux pas that occurred twice during a recent visit. When asked for black pepper, a server stepped to the next occupied table and took the pepper from the table. Removing items from one customer's table to give to another table without any explanation is never acceptable. Stop by, try the food and offer a smile and friendly greeting, maybe you will receive one back.“

“Just an amazing cajun experience from the music to the food to the decor! The Swamp Shack has it going on! If you crave some southern Louisiana this is the place without the drive. We ordered the charbroiled oysters for an app and there were very good! They could have been cooked a little longer for my personal taste, but they were good. The burger was outstanding. The fried catfish and shrimp were perfect. Our mixed drinks were excellent, we got the Poloma and Sex With an Alligator, needless to say there was no pain felt when we were leaving. The service was amazing and friendly. “I got food from DoorDash. It was the wrong order I had to get somebody to take me over there. I had to re-order it and pay it out of pocket. I only had very little tortillas and I had to pay for my chips and salsa you think that they would give you some for free And nobody spoke English sometimes when I go in there I get charge way too much. I think I like the other place better but I’m not sure.“
“Runway Cafe has the best hamburgers around. I went with my work buddies at noon and we had a great tasting meal. The service was good and the atmosphere was great as we got to see airplanes land & take off as we waited for our meal. I seemed like a very quick turnaround from the order placed til it was on the table. We will go back. Try the burgers !“
