I visit Jewish Delis in every city. Mum's is a vital stop for both Deli and BBQ enthusiasts. While places like Langer's (LA) and Katz's (NYC) claim to offer thick cut pastrami, Mum's take it to the next level with (see photo). Despite the thickness, the pastrami melts in your mouth and rich flavors and a wonderful spice rub. Nice, quaint place for lunch. One of the tip top best pastrami sandwiches I have ever had the pleasure of eating, and trust me, I love pastrami sandwiches. You can also taste that time was taken in creating their selection of sides. USA Today slapped this place with a spot on review as one of their restraunts of the year. I have a new favorite! Congrats to another local Austin business paving the way.

I have tried every pastrami place in Austin. This is clearly the best. Imagine tender pastrami with a BBQ bark from Opies. Put it in a sandwich and bam. Quick service. Kinda a flash mob right after me about noon but I think they can handle it. Update 4 years later still amazing
