“The street tacos are amazing. This is my go to Mexican restaurant in the area. I haven’t tried all the lunch specials but I am working on that! Margaritas are very good not too sweet and just the right amount of line. Worth the drive. The patio seating is very nice except the street noise gets a little loud, but that doesn’t effect the great food or the great service. I love a restaurant that can out cook me! They do very well on the seasoning and combination of ingredients. Will definitely go again and again.“

“We ventured out to Scotty's new location to watch the UH game. We were pleased to have the same great service, inexpensive prices (Saturday happy hour until 8), and delicious food! A reliable dive bar with fantastic food including salads, burgers, and fried fish.“

“We found this place on a whim! Our kids wanted ice cream and the door was locked with the open sign. The chef at the bar let us through to the back. It’s such a great place to kick back, have a few appetizers or drinks, play games as a family and watch a game on the big screen. Our kids really enjoyed being able to participate in playing games. The fries and onion rings were tasty! It wasn’t packed when we arrived mid day on the weekend but I could see it being crowded at night and having trouble parking. Definitely recommend!“

“I think this is the best place in the Kemah area for mixing music.If you come before 10 PM, it'll be a chill bar or social nights where you can sip and chat with soft music playing, making Saturday nights far from boring. But after 10 PM, when the DJ starts playing and mixing, the place instantly becomes more vibrant. I like it - the dim atmosphere allows for uninhibited dancing. The music, which excites and entertains, ensures we're never bored on a Saturday night. The place has both old and new songs mixed together, so both young adults and the middle-aged can enjoy their time here without getting bored.P.S. This place doesn't have a drink menu, which is odd, but if you're into drinking, just tell them. They can make you anything.“

“We always loved the service Drew gave us at our local Chili's and when he told us that he started working part-time at The Monkey Bar we thought that we would give it a try. We really didn't know what kind of place it was, Monkey Bar says Bar, but we wanted to try something different. We were actually surprised when we walked into this quaint little hangout with lots of friendly locals who were more than happy to welcome us. The staff, even the owner, were attentive to every customers needs. At first we were concerned about the cigarette smoke, but it didn't take long to notice that they have an excellent circulation system that keeps the air clean so I didn't even notice! You can order a variety of appetizers and other dishes for lunch and dinner but decided on some pretty good boudin egg rolls and some cold beers while we shot a few games of pool. We enjoyed our first visit and plan on going back to try something from the lunch or dinner selection soon.“

“Def not a dive. I was impressed walking in for the first time. Brightly lit, large interior w garage doors open for a very fresh breeze. No cigarette stench. Great menu selection. The bartender was very attentive & kind. Sports lovers would enjoy this spot - large tv screens are abundant. I found my new stomping grounds.“

“We really enjoyed Sam’s Boat and even came back a second time during our vacation. My daughter loved the fried cod! The crab cakes were delicious. The boiled shrimp were well made, but a little too spicy for my son’s liking. The sauce on the redfish was amazing! I loved sitting out near the water. We saw many interesting birds. The service was good. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We went for an early dinner one day and lunch another. I could see that at night it could be a much more bar-like setting. Overall, it’s great!“

“First time to go to the new Webster location. I was overall satisfied with the service , beer selection and food. For a bar that is. I went after work on a Thursday and it was not busy at all. Plenty of seating inside and out. Well laid out , tons of tvs and decent beer selection. I only give it a 4 star because I asked for double meat on my turkey sandwich and I don't think the kitchen did it. When I asked the waitress she told me "I did tell the kitchen for double meat". Not sure that answered my question but I will be back. Cool bar addition for Clear lake area. -R“

“It's a good little bar, plenty of TVs., separate smoking area, pool tables, shuffleboard, plenty of tables, and decent menu for something while you drink. Only had 1 server my two times in but service was great and never needed for anything.Parking: It's a strip center so at night it's open.“
