“I go to Katie's for the music. I did in on open mic nights and jam. They almost always have to notch local and regional band. The food is primarily bar pizza but it's not too bad. They just started having steak night on Wednesday's. Definitely worth going for steaks cooked to order by my friend Denby. You get Angus steak, potatoe, side and salad for $25. My wife and I can split 1 and it's plenty. The bar and wait staff are the best. Drinks are reasonably priced and consistent.“

“I love coming here! They have great food, pizzas are killer. The staff is wonderful and the inside is pretty cool. They have an outside seating area as well. We always come in a boat and tie up and then go get lunch, or on Sundays we go in and have brunch, which is my favorite. I would and have suggested this to many people. They also have a large beer selection.Parking: You can also dock your boat up for lunch or dinner.“

“I visited a few times before adding a review. The best part of Craft 96 is the consistency. The service is consistently fast, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is consistently clean, including the restrooms. The beer is consistently great with a nice variety of flavors and styles. The food is consistently delicious. Whether it's a salad and a cream ale, a bowl of mac and cheese and a porter or a sandwich and a stout, they have what you want to eat and drink and they'll serve it with a great attitude and a smile and when it arrives it'll be hot and fresh. “Great little joint. Hard to tell it’s a few blocks from the Gulf of Mexico. The bar is populated by a crew of hard-core regulars who know each other very well. Athena, the day bartender, messes with them while slinging beers and drinks effortlessly with efficiency and a little good-natured sass. Not being from the area, I will definitely make a point to stop in here next time I’m around.“

“We always loved the service Drew gave us at our local Chili's and when he told us that he started working part-time at The Monkey Bar we thought that we would give it a try. We really didn't know what kind of place it was, Monkey Bar says Bar, but we wanted to try something different. We were actually surprised when we walked into this quaint little hangout with lots of friendly locals who were more than happy to welcome us. The staff, even the owner, were attentive to every customers needs. At first we were concerned about the cigarette smoke, but it didn't take long to notice that they have an excellent circulation system that keeps the air clean so I didn't even notice! You can order a variety of appetizers and other dishes for lunch and dinner but decided on some pretty good boudin egg rolls and some cold beers while we shot a few games of pool. We enjoyed our first visit and plan on going back to try something from the lunch or dinner selection soon.“

“It’s a nice locally owned, come as you are bar. Places like this are getting harder to find nowadays. When they have music on the back patio and the outside bar open, it’s nice, overlooks the bayou. “This restaurant always has a light and cheerful atmosphere. Affordable food and drinks. We usually get the Jessica's plate to split. It's enough food and reasonably priced. We also enjoy a couple of peach margaritas WITH EXTRA PEACH. We typically dine for under $30. I have also had the shredded chicken taco salad and several of the shrimp plates. I do not know if smoking is allowed here. I have never seen anyone smoking nor have I smelled smoke other than the sizzling fajitas of course. I am allergic to smoke. Another reason we continue to frequent this establishment. We dine here at least once a week, sometimes twice a week. This place is a regular stop. Look for me. I will probably be there.“
