“Comfort food doesn’t get any better than this! My husband has tried everything on the menu (all good) but I stick with the fried chicken because it’s moist but never greasy! Add the mac and cheese and- YUM!!! The only things as good as the food are the personal service and the delicious desserts! So very glad that they opened in Bastrop!“

“Okay hear me out: this was THE BEST chicken fried chicken I have ever had. The breading and flavor was the best I have tasted. It brought tears to my eyes because it was so incredible And I’ve had my fair share of chicken fried chicken platters. The green beans are flavored to perfection. THE CORNBREAD!! It was somehow melt-in-your-mouth fluffy but packed the flavor of a dense cornbread muffin. We left satisfied, comforted, and knowing good and well that we’ll be back.“

“First time there. Food was so good that I ate everything on my combo plate. The crispy beef taco was soggy in the middle but very full and tasty. I forgot the other two items that came with it, but they were also very good. One thing lacking from the menu is mole, but that's forgivable.“

“I've had Fried chicken all over this great country. This place absolutely knocks it out of the park. The chicken has every fundamental good fried chicken requires. The people working the counter are wonderful and entertaining. A man with steamy glasses emerges from the kitchen, gets yelled at by the ladies and retreats to his kitchen. Top notch experience.“
