“We were on our way from San Antonio to Fort Worth and in the mood for BBQ for lunch. Looked up on Google Maps a place for good BBQ on our route. We originally thought we’d stop at Buc-ee’s for a quick sandwich, so glad we decided to try somewhere else.We ordered the two meat plates each. Both of us got the ribs and one got the brisket and the other got the sausage. Side orders were the beans, potato salad and cooked cabbage. All three sides were over the top delicious.The meat was smoked excellent. Love when the meat falls off the bone. The BBQ sauce was phenomenal.Nabota “Bot” Hilliard & Drea we’re the most pleasant folks and helped us with our decisions to satisfy our taste.Highly recommend Hillard BBQ. It was the best choice we could’ve made.“

“Whenever we're at the Waco Downtown Farmer's Market, we ALWAYS stop by Muchos Tacos. Their barbacoa tacos are seriously the best, and we've loved everything else we've tried, too! “Beautiful location with lots of seating. Very popular especially on rainy days. The staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is excellent! In the morning before noon there’s extra seating in the building next-door before the bar opens. In the afternoon you can enjoy a brew over in the second building if you prefer.“

“Never had chicken and waffles before. Asked the owner what's up and she provided a brief history of the combination. I had to give it a try, had the spicy momma and my wife had the classy lady. Both were delicious and we are both new converts to the chicken and waffles following! Shamica was so nice a true breath of fresh air. Definitely recommend giving her food a try.“

“Bare Arms Brewing is the place to be in Waco! With a large selection of brews, plenty of seating, games to play and delicious grilled food, you can't go wrong. We started with a flight to find our favorites, ordered some food and then just sat back the rest of the night and enjoyed all the company of locals and visitors. The flights are generous so no problems finding a favorite. We also enjoyed a tour of the brewery where the owner gave us an in depth overview of the brewing process.With excellent service, food and brew, Bare Arms will always be at the top of our list of Waco hot spots!“

“Went on the day of the solar eclipse. This was the perfect spot for refreshing drinks and delicious bakery items (all homemade). My dog enjoyed the shaded patio and the laid Back doggy atmosphere. Got a cold brew which was dark and delicious in a fancy glass, and a Parmesan and herb biscuit heated up which was also as delicious as the beverage. I noticed many students there studying and enjoying themselves. THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!“

The beer here is so good and they rotate a ton of their own special crafted beers.We got the pretzel bites and the pizza. Both were so good! The pizza crust was crispy and had a ton of flavor. One of the better pizzas in Waco!Definitely could go here to just grab a beer with some friends.“

The owner was even wearing a Star Trek uniform for the space/eclipse events of the day which made our day as big Trek fans. The food was rich and flavorful. It’s relaxing, it gets you in the chill mood, it’s perfect when you are reading/working but you can also just sing along in your head.I ordered an Iced Matcha with Vanilla syrup and you can taste the quality of the matcha. It was so so good! They also have some adult drink — aka alcoholic drinks! So you can work/study while sipping on your relaxing wine, or purely just have your glass of wine in a chill moment not always having loud music.Staff was nice and friendly, plenty of seating, parking were ample, across Hotel 1928. Find what suits you best. The atmosphere is fun and the energy of the crowd is good. The wait staff are friendly and the food is good. The Cinnamon knots are amazing and our favorite item on the menu. At 12:30 on sunday, we found Hecho en Waco (next to the Silos). We found great breakfasts and Menudo (just cuz it looked so enticing). The Bone-in Pork chop was cooked perfectly and adequately balanced with the delicious serving of garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetable medley.For dessert, I enjoyed a Vanilla Crème Brûlée that was fired perfectly to form a crisp and sweetened crust and garnished deliciously with blueberries and strawberries. To finish, the bartender and owner got creative on the spot with a Tiramisu Martini and let me try this as it is a newly developed bar drink.The atmosphere was eclectic and definitely a vibe to be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates delicious food that is reasonably priced and expertly prepared with an attention to detail that was unexpected, but a delight to experience.
