“Stopped by for the 3rd time todayNever disappointsMy family and I stopped by last 1st Friday for a last minute dinnerIt did not disappointThe karaoke with the older crowd was icing on the cake.We listened to the music and reminisced my maw maw and talked about how much she would love this place if she were still here. After our meal , we jumped into a conversation with the owner and another couple about how being a small business owner is hard with the rising prices.I love supporting a good small businessWhen I stopped by tonight, the owner wasn’t cooking and not going to lie, I was worried it wouldn’t be the same… but I was wrong , the kid COOKED IT PERFECTLY and the girl at the register was very sweet. The very first time I stopped by I was worried because I saw reviews that said it’s salty… let me tell you …. People don’t know FLAVOR !!!!!Good owners, good burgers, good timeSmall businesses in down town are struggling right now and I’m going to help keep this one open“
“No wonder the Monkey was voted "best fries"! I had the Yuppy fries and they are fantastic! All the folks here are super friendly! There's a good selection of local beers. Will be back during my stay in Bryan, TX.Love the exposed brick walls and concrete floor coupled with bright red barstools and dark booths.“
“Don't let the outside fool ya! In the original Shipley's location at 3310 S College Ave, next to Pepe's, this place has some of The Best homemade-tasting burgers you'll find anywhere in BCS! They make their buns from scratch right there in the kitchen and they are soft & pillowy. The fixins bar has shredded AND leaf lettuce, jalapenos, and everything you could want. If you haven't tried it yet, you MUST try the "Bulgogi" Burger! It's apparently some sort of Korean "Barbecue" but it does not have that tomato-y flavor. Fabulous. It's been operated by the same Korean family for as long as I can remember, and Jason at the front counter will ring you up and greet you with a flourish! Tell 'em Kip sent you!“
“Finally got a chance to try this place. We went for lunch on a Tuesday. Place was packed when we first got there (12:15) but slowly declined as the hour went by. Service was fantastic. Our food, bacon cheeseburger and French dip sandwich, were delicious. The atmosphere was what I'd expect for this type of restaurant. Will be back.“
“We had a mixed order of salads, wings, and fish and chips with hush puppies, plus some drinks. The fish was good but a little too much grease, the fries were good, I ate them all, and the hush puppies were yummy. The salad was very fresh, and the ranch dressing was on point. I had a bellini I did not enjoy, but I tried a couple of beers that were pretty tasty.“
“It is currently 11pm and I am no longer in the Bryan/College Station area but boy am I craving The Remnant Of Nawlins. Their catfish/wings combo with mac and cheese and dirty rice with who dat sauce would be my death row meal. Hoping to make it back to B/CS soon just for their food!“
“Before you hit up Joe's for a burger, do some stretching exercises...not like for running but to stretch your bite - these burgers are HUGE! And absolutely delicious! Beer and bar. Nightly food specials, including shrimp. If you drive past it, like I did, go back! The nondescript metal building and small sign atop a tall pole is easy to miss, especially in the dark, but it is worth hunting down. Very family friendly. Very Texas chill.“
“Great Food! Service was great and the hospitality was amazing. The server made sure our food was up to part. I recommend this to all who is looking for a good spot for breakfast and lunch. They ground beef breakfast tacos are delicious and they Bacon Burgers are always on point.“
“Was here for dinner on a Saturday night. Had chicken and brisket plate. The chicken was great! The brisket had a good flavor but was incredibly dry and not hot at all. Felt like it had been sitting under the heat lamp since the end of the lunch rush.“
“Ms. Kayla Alvarez and Miss Yellie, served us up an excellent meal and were very professional and courteous. The Heavyweight Special Combo was on point ? and cooked to perfection and came out exactly as I ordered it.I will return and take my family there to enjoy ? their excellent food ? !!!Vegetarian options: I saw a lady from the auto parts store across the street enjoying a healthy salad ? !Parking: Free parking was available.“
“Ordered the bbq sandwich it was cold and very little meat on bun, bag was so light I had to check to see if the burger was in the bag and not just the bag of chips that came with it, I didn't get the brownie I ordered employee upgraded wrong drink and when I mentioned he had to re check the order to see if I was lying, I used to love coming here and the prices go up and the food goes down, I would provide a picture but it is not allowing me to add one“
“If you have not been to Frank’s, shame on you! First, he and the staff (family) are amazing!! It’s like family. If you need a one stop shop, this is it.This place needs to be on Diners, Drive-in’s and Dives. This hole in the wall is top notch.Okay, onto the food. Yes, they have food. You can drive by and think, “is this place even open”, I think it’s on purpose because the locals don’t want to share this gem. You sit in the middle of a convenient store which is awesome!Anyway, GO! Menu looks limited, but like I said “they treat you like family”, well if you ask for something not on the menu, they will probably cook it for you. This morning we did eggs and pancakes. Wow, every time. The best pancakes west of the Mississippi! That is not a lie.Want lunch, they do that. Fish Fridays are the bomb, burgers are better than homemade, the BBQ is delicious. I literally cannot say anything but great things.Oh, if you need tape, toothpaste and deer corn while you’re there, they have that too.Go see Frank!!“
“I haven’t ate at DQ in a long time. I decided to give them another try. I ordered a chicken steak sandwich my bf ordered a belly buster. Both of our meals were freshly made. I ordered extra veggies and my burger wasn’t soggy. Our food was perfectly prepared even at 9:10pm and they closes at 10pm.“
“My family and I have eaten here many times in the past but decided to eat inside today. We were greeted with sincerity and the order process with Erica was great. She was training someone and was very patient with our 6 person order. As we were waiting for our food I was extremely grateful for how clean the restaurant was. I used to work in the industry for years and I know how stuff can get away from you, but y'all do a great job maintaining cleanliness throughout the building. Thank you to Erica and the team today for making our experience a great one!“
“The general manager was very kind and apologized profusely for their tech difficulties. After waiting for a while she proceeded to cover our lunch which absolutely made our day! I’ve never been here before and I will definitely be coming back! They are lucky to have thoughtful and empathetic leadership ??“
“It’s so ridiculous why this establishment don’t have a 5star rating , for the first time I walked into this restaurant and what I noticed first was how patient the cashier , a 5 star to her , the seasoned fries gave me an insight on how tasty the burger will be it was so good , the Double Carter burger is so good that that I was almost crying when I noticed I have finished eating the burger , I am about to be addicted to this restaurant , I am giving 10/10“
“Good old fashioned burger joint. You know you're in a good place when you pull in at lunch at a random spot in the country and see a full parking lot, with firefighters and deputies in the mix. If they're busy it can take a bit to get food, but that's to be expected as it's a small place. Atmosphere is a bit noisy and frenetic with kids running around, but I guess that's all part of it. Overall, recommend and would definitely go back. I can vouch that the bacon cheeseburger is top notch. They have Boots Soda at the fountain, always like their drinks. If it isn't obvious, if you are vegetarian/vegan- probably want to go someplace else. :)“
