“Oh. My. God. Literally my favorite place in the area. We’ve always ordered the fish….which is incredible. But today we tried burgers and chicken tenders. I’ve NEVER had a better chicken tender or better fries! The portions are enormous for the price. We’ve always ordered pickup. The customer service is incredible and I’ve NEVER been remotely disappointed with a single thing!“

“Overall this Cafe is small, but it has a nice vibe overall. It's a bit small, but the staff is so nice and timely with orders and service. The food was good. I had 1 meal and it was my first time there. Other customers raved about their desserts as well. Nice little place the salad I had was good.“

I ordered The Homestyle Breakfast (ONLY $7.29!). The Biscuits are to DIE for! Lite Fluffy Buttermilk biscuits, clearly made from scratch! Bacon was thick and perfectly cooked, home fries and eggs were perfectly cooked the only way, I enjoy them. I took a bite of the biscuits and gravy and about jumped out of my chair, it was sooo good!!!! Gravy made from scratch using sausage drippings and tons of sausage! TV's breakfast looked good, (I didn't ask for a bite, I was too busy eating like I had a slit throat!). He demolished his meal (I ain't lying, I demolished mine too!)Our server Shannah (not sure how she spells her name), was as sweet as a Fredericksburg Peach!!! She was welcoming, courteous, smiling and efficient! “Good Friday, and we had a fantastic meal. I had the all-you-can-eat catfish, and the boss had the chopped brisket sandwich. Both were really good.The owner came by a couple of times to make sure we were good.If you are in Lockhart, TX, stop by, and you won't be disappointed.“

“We started eating here when I was pregnant with my daughter…we still eat here today. She’s 17. They have one of the best chicken fried steaks in Lockhart. And yes, I tried it on recommendation from another customer. Yum!!! I love the fajitas and nachos. Hubby gets the Guadalajara plate. The fajitas are delicious, so are the enchiladas.. a fact, I don’t think I’ve found anything here we don’t like, if not love. Especially the salsa! ?️“

“Wow, that's some brisket. This place has been operated by the same family for almost a century. Everything is delicious. Service is friendly. There's plenty of seating. Lockhart is a very cute town with lots of interesting little shops to explore.“
