“This place is a true hidden gem.. we have lived in the area for 7 years and never heard of this place which is a shame... most authentic Thai food we've had since being in Texas. Service was amazing, quality of food was spectacular and the vibe of the restaurant is very much a small town restaurant, looks exactly as what you'd find in Thailand. Nothing fancy, simple menu and incredible food.“

“Only next level Japanese dining enthusiasts would be able to immediately recognize that they have chosen well. If you are lucky enough to discover the Happy Hour menu then you’ve hit the jackpot. Do yourself a favor and go because ain’t nobody have dry aged fish! What?!? Yes this separates Lucky Robot from the rest of the Japanese places in Austin. Put it on the bucket list folks!“

“I really appreciate that this restaurant has both really delicious food, reliable options, anything in the menu can be made vegan ? If you're looking for an option for omnivorce and vegetarians to enjoy, this menu is huge and awesomeI love that they are very local community focused:- transparent about a fair wage surcharge for servers- have gathering areas and a wildlife garden, murals and sticker art, accessible community boards- artists display their own work and I believe handle their own payments ?- options for those with dietary restrictionsVegetarian options: Everything can be made veganParking: There's a parking lot behind it, but it is off in full. If you keep going into the neighborhood, you can find street parking“

“For our bachelor party in Austin, we decided to switch gears from the traditional Texan BBQ scene and opted for some Japanese cuisine at Uchi. Initially hesitant about finding top-notch sushi in Texas, I was pleasantly surprised by the impeccable quality of fish and craftsmanship on display here. While the prices may lean towards the higher end and the portions are modest (as is customary with fine dining), the food quality and ambiance are truly unbeatable. Our waiter, who was nothing short of exceptional, guided us through the menu with expert recommendations. He even treated us to a delightful surprise--wagyu nigiri (which we devoured and I totally forgot to document)--knowing it was a special occasion for our bachelor party. For larger groups like ours, I highly recommend going the à la carte route rather than opting for omakase. Not only do you get more value for your money, but you also have full control over your dining experience. We indulged in a variety of cuts of fish, unagi nigiri, wagyu nigiri, shishito peppers, salad, and mapo tofu. To cap off our feast, we indulged in some tapioca and candy bar desserts, which we inhaled in record time. In the heart of Texas, Uchi stands as a testament to the diversity and excellence of the Austin dining scene. Try it out - you won't regret it! Tip: I recommend making a reservation before visiting to ensure you secure a spot at this gem of a place.“

“100/10 will definitely make it a point to come back every time we visit Austin. The live band played red dirt songs my husband and I love. We brought our 3 month old and even he was welcome! Everyone was super friendly, our food came out fast (and was super delicious!), drinks were yummy and the good vibes were definitely there. We've told all of our friends and family about it.“

“Amazing food! Every dish we tried was DE-LICIUOS! Wait staff and hosts are lovely people. Atmosphere and vibe is warm and inviting here. My only suggestion for this restaurant is that they turn the volume down on the music. It really is WAY TOO loud. Other than that, visit often so that you can try the entire menu!“

“Meat & Bread is a modern sandwich shop on a quiet downtown cul-de-sac, with seating inside in a light-filled space or else outside on their small patio. Small menu but everything was assembled with care using quality ingredients and packed with flavor. Our porchetta sandwich - juicy roast pork, crispy crackling skin, salsa verde - was really tasty. The asado sandwich - braised beef, arugula, chimichurri sauce - was equally delicious. I do wish they would be a little more generous with their meat fillings. Both sandwiches had ingredients assembled mainly in the middle, leaving front and back ends to be mostly bread.“

“This was a suggested location by the local bomb squad and man was it the BOMB! Great set up and outside atmosphere. The owner/operators were fantastic, happy to see us and offer opinions for 1st timers. The brisket and sausage were the best I've hade in all my Texas travels and will be back again when even close to the area.“

“This place was so wonderful that we ate here two days in a row. The staff are the shining star of this restaurant. They were all extremely accommodating, prompt and friendly. They are the only restaurant in Austin that we had a great experience with…,the other restaurants were run by employees who clearly could have cared less about their customers. I highly recommend everyone check this place out.“

“Where to begin with this bastion of pie. You can not go wrong with any of the specialty pies, the honey pear with its sweet and savory pairing of pears plus prosciutto, topping it with a drizzle of honey To the shroomin goat with goat cheese, mushrooms and garlic. The pairings might sound like they don't work but they are all delicious. If you're not feeling so adventurous they have classics such as pepperoni and basil or margherita All New York style thin with the best crust in the game. Then you get to the vast selection of beers they brew themselves and plenty of other locals they sell. If you're feeling an ipa the electric jellyfish is a hazy, hoppy glass of goodness. If you're not feeling an ipa they have many styles to satisfy your thirst. The staff is friendly if not rushed sometimes since it's a popular spot and it is more often packed out. Inside is communal bench seating if that's your thing and you want to be a social butterfly, who knows you might just find a best friend or the love of your life over a slice of pie and a cold beer.“

“I've heard many good things about Red Ash and was excited to try them last Saturday. There are in fact many gluten free options and they were very helpful explaining the menu and accommodating. The visit did not disappoint!Comments on the dishes: the sweet potatoes were yum; cauliflower came as almost two whole heads, flavor was good but not our favorite; gnocchi which was AMAZING (my favorite); the bone marrow risotto which was also delicious but definitely heavy and rich; my friends loved the halibut too; burrata with tomato was good as a starter and my friends enjoyed their bruschetta. Quantities were plentiful and we left completely stuffed, with leftovers!Comments on drinks: green thumb was delicious; I wasn't impressed by the blood orange marg unfortunately; signora in rosa was good!Parked with the Valet for $15.Dietary restrictions: Have gluten free options!“

“What a fabulous place, the feel and ambience is top notch however the food was a little lacking and didn’t quite live up to the standards of the venue it was served in. Eating off the a La crate menu the portions are pretty large and on the richer side which is not to our taste but I’m sure it is for others, maybe we ordered incorrectly ?“

“We were blown away by this place! Service was outstanding, but the food was next level. We ordered the salad, shishito peppers and nuts for an appetizer and then came the smash burgers. Everything was so good! We finished our meal with the best carrot cake any of us have ever had. We’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!“

“I like it when the menu is simple, contains a few things, and it is done quickly and well. Sitting outside is the only down side, but the burgers are delicious. Although this place is a few years older than Whataburger, it has that same Texas-style burger vibe. The kids love the hotdogs and soft serve ice cream.“

“I ate here while in town for Afrotech! I started with the Sunomono Salad (Cucumber, green onion, crab stick, octopus, radish sprouts, sesame seeds with ponzu sauce). I then had two rolls: 1. Who’s Your Daddy? (no rice) (Deep fried crab, cooked shrimp, cream cheese with special sauce); 2. I Love Tuna (in: spicy Tuna, cucumber out: Blue fin Tuna, green onion sauce: Garlic ponzu, green onion, masago) EVERYTHING was amazingly good, the staff was very friendly, efficient, and ensured you had a great dining experience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“I've been meaning to try this place and I'm so glad I did! Came in as a party of ten so we got to try a lot of the dishes. Service was super fast and food came out pretty quickly and was piping hot. Tofu with Crab Meat: this was alright to me, I didn't really taste the crab meat. Couple Beef Slice: I love this appetizer and I love that it comes cold. Super flavorful and not too heavy. Green Beans w/ Minced Pork: I love stir fried green beans and this one did not disappoint. Boiled Fish Fillets in Chili Sauce: This was one of my favorite dishes. The fish was so tender and the soup was so flavorful. There was lots of veggies inside which I loved and it was the perfect amount of spice. Definitely a must order. Honey Walnut Shrimp: The shrimp was lightly battered, super crispy, and not too sweet. Twice Cooked Pork Belly: This dish was also delicious and not too fatty. Perfect amount of spice, but be careful not to bite into a jalapeno seed. Peking Duck: Order the whole duck and you get some of the House Duck Soup. The duck skin is perfectly crisp and the duck itself is super tender. Perfect for sharing and definitely a must order--especially for a large party. Overall a great experience, the wait here can get long so definitely get there before peak hours!“
