“Had a medium spicy chicken sando. Was the perfect spice level for me since I don’t like to OD on capsaicin anymore. The chicken breast was huge and the bun only covered about 1/2 of it. The house sauce was tasty as well. Definitely would return when in the area.“

“I recently dined at Porch Pour, located in a beautifully preserved historic home on Founders Row in Midlothian. The restaurant's atmosphere is its standout feature, offering a unique dining experience that capitalizes on the charm and character of its historic setting. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual and special occasions. The food was good, featuring a variety of unique dishes that were enjoyable but didn't quite live up to the hype I had heard. The drinks menu did not disappoint. Each beverage was well-crafted, with a good selection of both classic and innovative options that paired nicely with the meal. The service at Porch Pore deserves a special mention for being exceptionally friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and seemed genuinely happy to accommodate guests, which is always a plus in my book.“

“Had some fantastic food here. Ordered the two piece jerk chicken with rice and plantains. The rice was super flavorful and the plantains were sweet and delicious. The Jerk was awesome. A little saucier than I'm used to, but that's a good thing. Their jerk sauce is 10/10 and I couldn't get enough.Coworker also said the cabbage was the best he's ever had.“

“We didn't have Reservations, but that's ok because we immediately sat down at any open table. Atmosphere was nice, lots of people come here to eat after church on Sundays. Waitress was sweet, attentive and quick; providing Excellent Service. I ordered an iced tea to drink and their Baked Chicken with carrots and sweet yams for my sides. We waited maybe 10 mins to receive our food, so we got it quickly! The BAKED CHICKEN was Slap-Yo-Mama GOOD! I got a Whole Chicken that was cut in half & magically Baked to perfection. The meat literally falls off the Bone! It was delicious! Both sides were scrumptious too. The carrots were seasoned and cooked to tenderness. The sweet yams were also spiced and seasoned just right, I Loved These! In conclusion, I will be going back to Tops Cafe when I'm in the area again. I give them a B+ overall. **The Baked Chicken and the Yams are definitely served on SUNDAY's** Check their website to see what their Special Menu Items are & the Days they are available to plan your trip accordingly.“

“So I decided to try this place after passing by it several times and the mixed reviews. The drive thru was full and wrapped around the buildings entrance. So I made my order for a 5pc dark meal, 3 PC dark meal and 10pc hot wings. Just to get a variety of the sides and offerings. So all the meat came out steaming as it was fresh and tasty. So I was very impressed. But the sides were not as fresh and I was disappointed with the fried rice as it was very sad looking and tasting. The individual at the cashier was very professional and had no issues. The atmosphere was decent as DeSoto is nice to me so far. So this is a decent spot for good chicken and adding it to my places in the area.“
