“Obviously by the pictures I only get one thing here. But everytime I do it's edible gold. Everything about these tacos are the best I've had. My girlfriend brought me here after I tried taking her to place in San Antonio (where I'm from) and it was a game changer for me. Everytime I go down to pick her up we go here to eat before the drive back. It's a small place. And it doesn't look like much. But the food is as real as it gets. I can't wait to go back.“
“While the outside could seem as if it is a really small and cozy restaurant, it is actually really big inside. It was very clean and organized inside. The staff greeted me instantly upon opening the door and were very helpful and welcoming.The food was taken to-go. It was packaged safely and securely. I had no spills or leaks with it during transit. I ordered the Chile relleno c/fajita al lado as well as cheese enchiladas. The flavoring on the enchiladas as well as the fajitas etc were perfect.I did see some of they reviews prior to my first time ordering about the beans having no flavor. I did try the rice and beans…. I see where they could maybe seem as if they needed salt to some but calling them flavorless was a bit harsh.I think this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Elsa.“
“I have been visiting Brownsville for work from many years and could not find a decent halal authentic Desi retsuarnt catering to the needs of Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi or Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food. Options were always limited to IHOP or Mexican Sea Food places.So happy to find this place this visit, which has opened only 3 to 4 months back.Nice decor and clean and hygienic run family owned restaurant. The owners are always to meet and greet customers. A large variety of authentic halal menu. We tried Dahi Bara, Chicken Biryani, Nihari and took White Chicken curry for take away for Sheri. All were good and had fabulous Masala Chai tea in the end. The decor and cutlery was high quality which the owners advised was all designed and arranged by their daughters.In short we enjoyed our stay and food and would always visit them whenever we are in Brownsville area. Only one suggestion is to start oven made fresh naans too in future if possible. May be I am expecting too much as visiting from Houston area.Syed Shahzad“

It is a locally owned and operated coffee shop and restaurant serving specialty coffees, teas, refreshers, and sporting a nice menu with sandwiches, soups, great breakfasts, and some Mexican favorites.I decided I wanted to try their chilaquiles. I was trying to choose between red and green salsa, and the server suggested I could get half and half. So that's what I ordered, to be topped with an egg. She asked how I wanted the egg, to which I replied, "over medium" (whites done, yolks still mostly runny). To drink, I ordered sweet iced tea because they told me it was fresh brewed.The iced tea was old and cloudy. I could barely drink it. The chilaquiles were delicious, both the green and red salsas, but the egg was very much well done. The egg was not that big a deal to me, but a coffee and tea shop ought to know that when iced tea gets cloudy, it has gone bad.I wasn't going to say anything, but Siomara came to the table and asked how I was enjoying my meal.so I told her about the undrinkable iced tea. She immediately apologized and offered me a replacement drink. She also offered me a goodie from the dessert bar to make up for the overcooked egg. I chose only to get a replacement drink.I think the staff at Betuzas cares about their customers. They seem to do so many things well; the chilaquiles were great. I would go again. I might just order a fruit refresher instead of the iced tea.“
“Easily the best seafood I've had outside of South Padre Island. The grilled fish was a thick fillet, and teh shrimp were very large and meaty, both were very well seasoned. The sides were very good too. Fries were not too oily as I often see at other restaurants.Service was also very friendly and fast. It was a littl hard finding parking in the very small lot that was there. If it wasn't far away from me, I would probably go here once a week or even more.“
“This place is super chill and totally reminds me of a speakeasy. It has such a friendly and cool vibe. They have a variety of beer and wine and it's a great place to relax. It's also dog friendly which I thought was the best feature to this place. Yuma definitely approves.“
“Loved the food there was so much flavor the beans were amazing the tacos were perfect the tortillas were perfect and soft it was a bit of a wait but totally worth it in my opinion I got the street tacos and my girlfriend got the quesadilla the meat is perfect not too greasy done just right for the price that they sell it at definitely worth it a must try for take out in my opinion“
“Great upscale Mexican food - not a typical menu - lots of unique takes on the standard fare. All of our selections were tasty & plentiful at a very reasonable price. We were served on the outside patio on a cool February evening. The heaters were plentiful enough to make it very comfortable despite the 40 degree temp. Worth our 60 minute trip to Wilson.“

“Our waitress was great! Food was brought out pretty quick, fries were delicious but my burger was a little on the dry side but still was good. Place was clean, if you are in the area good place to eat. Oh and their Mexican plates look great!“

“We’ve been coming to Monterrey Cafe for many years now. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from But… we ultimately end up back here. We love the food! Not only does it taste good but the serving size is perfect. The staff always greets us with a smile even if extremely busy. My wife loves their salsa and chips and i like it all but my go to is the panchos with fajitas. Thank you Monterrey cafe for the outstanding service!!!???“
“Not too crowded and is bigger than the picture show. Good and fast service and the tacos are not super greasy as other taquerias... The beans were a bit over seasoned but a bit undercooked. But again, I asked for fajita tacos and that's what I got. Meat freshly cooked and tacos not drowning in oil.I definitely recommend this place.“

“I highly recommend their breakfast tacos especially the taco loco with egg it is so filling. If you go for lunch try the chicken fried chicken plate or their enchiladas. The homemade salad with chips and cafecito always hits the spot too. Customer service is excellent as well.“

I had Juevos Rancheros and a pancake on the side, my partner had sausage egg and cheese tacos with a side of beans. Both of us had coffee. Let me tell you, everything was homemade and fresh. I would go there and recommend to anyone. I have not been for lunch or dinner. The staff was friendly and attentive.
