“On Friday I celebrated my birthday in the patio section of the place. Despite having a group of 30 people, the service was excellent, the food arrived quickly. The waiter and waitress were very attentive. The drinks were very delicious as well as the burger I ordered.There was a misunderstanding since when I confirmed my reservation I asked if there was a cost for bringing a cake and they told me no. When the bill arrived I realized that they had charged $10 for the cake I brought. Fortunately they waived the extra charge for the cake.“

Everything was PERFECTION!!!I never eat all my food, especially when there's bread involved...but I couldn't help myself! I ate everything. The salsa was great as well!I took my husband the second time I went, I wanted to share the experience. “So I literally just moved around the corner two minute walk from this restaurant. Me and my boyfriend have been seeing it. I’m off on weekend’s so I decided to try tacos this morning. I got a Papa la Mexicana and a chorizo egg and cheese. Right off the bat potatoes looks dry but turns out they were pretty good, the chorizo egg they forgot my cheese they didn’t give me a receipt so I didn’t get to see if they charge me or not but it’s not a big deal but chorizo egg was actually really good . Salsa Verde is nice but the red salsa is hot. I walked in the atmosphere is very nice and clean. All in all I was happy with my breakfast tacos this morning. “This was a return trip to the Rio Grande Valley area, and I asked one of my friends who lived in the area for one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. He recommended Costa Messa and it was fantastic. I had beef ranchero, which was perfect. The portion was incredibly large and I was able to eat it again the following day. I’m definitely going back. “Came to McAllen for work and stopped by C&C Grill. Found a hidden gem out here. Started off with the quesabirria and man I was hooked. Then tried some fish tacos and was not disappointed. The Berrian had an awesome flavor even the calories they give with it, nothing gamey just straight savory flavor. The fish tacos were delicious as well.Aguas frescos were delicious you can tell everything from the food, chips, and Aguas are made fresh daily!! Definitely must try. “Yesterday my family and I went to celebrate my daughter’s nursing accomplishments. This restaurant has excellent and delicious food but what separates it from the rest is the excellent service. From the time you walk in, through your meal and even on your way out. Our waiter was Cesar and he made everything special. We wanted a bowl of soup since it was cold and raining but no soups in the menu. Somehow Cesar made it happen after talking with the kitchen staff. Not only did he make it happen but it was one of the most delicious fideo soups we have eaten. On our way out Cesar followed us outside with an umbrella for it kept raining. “I love this place. I’ve been going here for breakfast for about 8 years now and I love it every time. It’s a little different than other restaurants you might have been to but the food is great and so are the prices. I love the migas in red salsa and their chicharrón prensado with red salsa. Their barbacoa is delicious and is also sold by the pound even on weekdays. If you’re going there for Lucy their chiles rellenos are really good…my mouth is watering just thinking of it. “My wife and I recently dined at Hacienda Las Mariposas, and our first impression was good. The venue itself has an elegant vibe to it, reminiscent of an old-fashioned, swanky Spanish homestead -- a place one does not go to parade their disdain for proper etiquette by wearing torn jeans or failing to remove their hat indoors. Suffice it to say, we had equally high expectations of the food and service.They did not disappoint.We ordered the mixed botana for two, and it was easily one of the best we have had in the RGV. The presentation was excellent, the fajita was tender and juicy, and the trimmings were packed with flavor. Our side dish of choriqueso was tasty as well, and the complimentary cheesecake (we were celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary) was the best we had in years. The whole table was a feast for the eyes, to say nothing of the palate, and the portions were such that we had plenty of leftovers at the end. Our waiter, I should note, was very attentive from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, offering us something like the royal treatment - as my wife put it - and in so doing earned our manifest appreciation (read generous tip.) Granted, it was not the busiest time of day, but for that reason alone the best time for dining there.All in all, we enjoyed the restaurant. We found it to be a perfect choice for the occasion, and I can see it becoming one of our favorite haunts. We might even dine on the patio next time, the views from which are nice enough to fill the pages of a scenic wall calendar. Give the place a try. We highly recommend it.“

A++ for having combos! The bistek had no fat, and the onion/cilantro were fresh! “It's an ok Restaurant. Their only big problem is their tables. You can just barely fit 4 people into the one table. They're ok for two people maybe even three, but no more. Then you have to go up to the counter to place your order. These two things were a big turn off, for me.“
