Restaurantji unveils Forest Hill's must-visit Mexican dining spots.
“It was very good! Finding a good dining spot while traveling for work can be a delightful experience. It's always a pleasure to discover a restaurant that offers delicious meals, adding comfort and enjoyment to a business trip. Returning to the same place for dinner indicates that the food, service, and atmosphere made a positive impression, which is not always an easy feat for restaurants to achieve. It's the little things like a satisfying dinner after a long day of work that can make all the difference in a trip.“
“I posted a review of another place, on Pollo Mayo, due to a mix-up with google maps. I have deleted it, and deeply apologize for any distress or inconvenience it has caused.I WILL visit here, and give it whatever review it does deserve. Most of mine are really great. Now, I am looking up the other place.“
“This small and cozy joint is the epitome of hidden gems. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was transported to a Mexican abuela's kitchen - and let me tell you, the food did not disappoint. The tacos were like a seductive dance in my mouth, each bite leaving me begging for more. And don't even get me started on the gorditas - they were so fluffy and delicious, I wanted to marry them. And let's not forget the star of the show - the fresh hot sauce. It had just the right amount of kick to leave me feeling alive and wanting more. The atmosphere was charmingly quaint - it looked like a house turned into a small restaurant, giving it a homey and welcoming vibe. The service was fantastic, too - the staff made me feel like familia.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ram for easy access.“
“Stopped here on a whim and found fantastic food! As a chile relleno lover, as soon as I saw it on the board above the register, I was set. DELICIOUS cheese relleno, the best I’ve had, and I grew up in El Paso. I will be back and I will be bringing my whole family. Great staff, chef, atmosphere, everything! Perfecto!Chips and salsa were great, street style corn tortillas are made in house.Vegetarian options: The rice didn’t taste of chicken broth and the relleno offering is cheese. Honestly I didn’t see anything other than the word relleno so I can’t say what else was offered.Parking: Small lot but easy to navigate right off the main road.“
“Wanted to try to pollo asado and I have to say it didn’t disappoint. It was a nice char but still juicy with flavor. The beans were ok needed a bit more flavor but paired w the rice it worked just fine. Green salsa was nice and spicy and with a side of grilled jalapeño/onions. The tortillas weren’t good at all but really didn’t need them so not bad for my lunch stop.“
“I absolutely love the food and the service here. The chicken tortilla soup alone got me through last winter. And the tacos al pastor are what makes life worth living.I’ve ordered the same soup at other locations and this one just does something different. There’s a lovely young lady there, Alejandra I believe, who is so sweet (and patient with this indecisive old lady!).When I order delivery to my job, it always arrives hot and well-packed. Rarely any spills. My order is also reliably correct! A huge plus.I have had several of the menu items and they are all tasty. It’s not “fast food”, it’s good food, relatively fast, so don’t be impatient, it’s worth a little extra time for fresh, healthy food.Five stars, will definitely keep going back!Parking: Lots of parking and easy to access from both street entrances.“
