“As I was walking home from work, I heard the vicious roar of an empty stomach after my 10 hour shift. I didn't wanna walk any further than I already had to, and this is one of the places otw back to my house. I stopped in front of the restaurant, sized it up and walked in with the idea of this being another regular tex mex place. As I walked in I was greeted by a colorful atmosphere and one associate at the front. I looked and pondered on the menu and was debating on just going to sonic since I've never even been here. However, the rain was too close by to add another stop to my aching feet so I settled within my indecisive thoughts on just staying put. I asked an associate what was good n she recommended the regio bowl. I agreed and she politely explained all the ingredients and the American names for the meat selection. I settled on bistec bowl. I walked out, made it home after the rain relinquished it's anger on me, and opened my bag up. I carefully dug apart each layer of this bowl and decided to add the Pico, salsa, sour cream n avocado that comes with it in the bag. Opened my complimentary package of plastic silverware, n decided to blend everything together after seeing it was almost like Chipotle bowls. I finished mixing the layers, scooped a nice size bite onto my provided spoon n ate it. I stopped mid chew when I realized this was better than Chipotle. Who can beat Chipotle? Pollo regio.“
“Me and my family of 10 went to eat today! And it was so fast, good customer service and fresh, hot food and very fast, it didn't take even 5 minutes to give us the food, very friendly, I recommend you go eat! Thanks for the great service! “
“The tacos were good, could use some more spices or something. The prices were pretty steep as compared to the portions. I would go back, but not as a 1st choice. There are lots of other places that aren't as pricey that are just as good, if not better.“
“I went here for lunch and had tacos. They were really good. They had good flavor and were very fresh. I asked them if they had crunchy tacos. The man helping me replied "we can make you some" and they were very crunchy and good. I greatly appreciated the great customer service. I can't wait to bring my husband to eat here.“
“The BEST queso birria tacos in DFW by far!I’ve been here several times and each time the staff has been extremely helpful, friendly, and happy. Happy to serve you, to help you make a choice if you’re unsure. The place is always clean! The food is top notch! A must try when in Arlington!!“
“I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the delightful experience I had at Pollo Regio, particularly with your Mexican Tortilla soup. The flavors were outstanding, and the quality of ingredients truly stood out. The rich broth, fresh vegetables, and perfectly seasoned tortilla strips created a memorable and satisfying dining experience. I commend your chefs for their culinary expertise. Looking forward to savoring more of your delectable offerings in the future.“
“Nice and cozy spot. Great for a quick bite! Fresh and authentic and a LOT of food. Agua frescas are pretty good too. Salsas here are good, they're spicy although the salsa rojo is too watery and honestly bland in comparison, I much prefer the verde even if it isn't as spicy. They have a lot on the menu so there's plenty of options to pick from! Down-to-earth, no-frills eatery. Just a good comfy lunch.“
“Saw this place a few days ago and decided to check it out today. Oh man the tacos de trompo were so good!! My hubby got a mix quesadilla and he said it was amazing. We will definitely be back and will tell everyone we know to check this place out.“
“I’ve been to a lot of Fuzzzys, but this is my first time at this location . Lainie was my bartender and server, and she recommended the best fish taco to me. She also made my drink of choice that most bartenders cannot make right , and she did it perfectly. I was surprised by all the drink specials because I normally go to a restaurant nearby and Fuzzzys will now be my new spot!!!“
“For this to be such a local taco shop.. the birria tacos are amazing !!! I wasn’t expectingThis place to be as good as is it. A hidden gem, out in the open .! It’s always clean & they have alll the tacos accessories. A lot of places only sell street tacos… & some without rice & beans!! …So it’s safe to say this is a reliable, one stop shop for your tortilla taste buds <3“
“For what I thought was going to be just another hole in the wall Mexican restaurant this place exceeded all expectations. Food was amazing, atmosphere inviting, service from Mario exceptional, and even the bathroom was nice and well maintained. Definitely coming back.“
“Since the first week they opened up I've been here regularly and there's a reason for it The drinks and the presentation of the food or always in line. The atmosphere is perfect not too loud not too quiet just relaxing. Once you've been here once you will be back.“
“Some of the best local cuisine we had on our trip. The service was exceptional and I could not believe how fast they had the orders out even though they were very busy! Their queso is absolutely out of this world and their steak burrito is phenomenal! The cheese enchiladas were good as well and they blended two different red sauces on it and it was very good but not the best I've had.Parking: BIG parking lot but very busy.“
“The fish tacos here are the best in Arlington. And it's all pretty affordable, too. I love the folks who work here, they have been so friendly on my visits.Kid-friendliness: There are always families with kids eating here when I go. It's 100% come as you are, friendly for kids and everyone.“
“My mexican perspective The chicken was great. The Enchiladas were good they were just served with a little too much sourcream. I would give the rice and beans a 3 out of 5. You can eat it, but it's nothing special. The price was reasonable. I was looking for a cool new spot to call my favorite, but it looks like my search will continue.“
“I came here a few weeks ago to try their breakfast tacos and they were absolutely delicious! So I came back to try the Gorditas and get my friend some tacos. Chef’s kiss. If you’re in Arlington and looking for some tacos, this is where you need to be!“
“This is one of my favorite sit-down Mexican restaurants! The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, the food, portion sizes, and service is awesome! They have maintained a wonderful dining experience bucking the trend of many places to downscale. You feel like you've been out to dinner after dining there and it's anything but fast food! Hearty, satisfying, a great dining experience!“
“Omg ?... It was my first time in this place at Arlington location ☺️There are no words to describe the pleasant time we had in this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. All the people like Mr. Carlos, Mr. Juan, Maria M. our waitress and all the other staff on this place were super friendly. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs and very timely. Thank you , thank you very much.?Much, much better than the "famous" Joe T Garcia's in Fort Worth. I went 1 month ago and it will be the last one. Sorry, comparisons are bad but I like to reward whoever won it. ??♀️“
“We decided to try this restaurant for taco Tuesday what we ordered 4 pastor and 4 carne asada plus a rice. We received order with the hottest hot sauce for my husband. Boy my husband bit into the carne asada he said it's so delicious and the hot sauce he received was very very hot. We really like the tacos. We will definitely be back again. We would highly recommend it.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“If you love well-seasoned, delicious Tex-Mex food with a creative flair, then Torchy’s Tacos is definitely a must-visit when in Texas! My favorites are the “Mr. Orange” salmon taco and the “Brushfire” Jerk Chicken and mango taco!Vegetarian options: There is a friend avocado option for vegetarians/vegans and non-vegan toppings can be removed by request.“
“I got the birria ramen and my wife got the birria tacos. They were both amazing, but I must warn you off the ramen if you have sensory issues with goey textures. We're definitely coming back to try other things.Parking: 9 parking spots plus one handicap spot(10 total) on location, but the building itself is on the small side.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp, but the entrance to the door itself is a bit steep. Folk in wheelchairs may have issues with that.“
“Absolutely loved this Taqueria! We came to visit sick family and we came several times! We loved the food,( they were so quick to prepare it), the courteous staff, & how clean & well organized everything was there!! And the bonus, we loved all the scriptures & words of inspiration on the walls & the alabanza they have playing! Very uplifting & cheerful ambience! Espero que Dios bendiga a este Taqueria mucho!!“
“Based on my “the best Mexican restaurants have Mexican names” theory, I decided to have lunch here. I was a little surprised to see only one couple dining but I wanted to give them a chance. The staff was attentive and I was seated immediate. Chips and salsa soon arrived. The salads was very tasty but was not hot.I ordered the 3 street tacos plate with rice and beans. I would have liked to see more meat in the tacos. The food was good and I cleaned my plate. The waitress had brought out two salsas in squeeze bottles but they were watered down and were not good. The food was good and I would return to try something else.“
“1st time here and I couldn't be happier.Josh was our severs name and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. The service was excellent, food was AMAZING and came very fast, even with a packed out restaurant. Definitely recommend this place.“
“I have visited this location a few times. The service speed has always been excellent. I love Mexican street corn, and the Dorielote here is delicious! I haven't experienced enough of the rest of the menu to have a strong opinion about anything else, so I'll edit my review in the future to provide insights about other menu items that I find remarkably good.“
“I judge Mexican restaurants on their rice and beans, then by the salsa. They are on point in all three. Their carnitas tacos are the best around. I usually am there for lunch and get the Mr. Mark's plate on the lunch menu. It's a cheese enchilada and a tamale. Get a carnitas taco on the side. I rarely give a 5 star review, but it is well deserved here.“
“Love this location the staff is friendly love the house sangria and Christina is really helpful when it comes to picking out new tacos .They have lots to choose from and can be somewhat overwhelming.Dietary restrictions: They have fried avocado taco meat free .“
“I dined in last night and as always the food was great, but the service was top tier! Our waiter Rashad was so helpful! I usually get the same thing when I order, but was in the mood to try something different. He suggested the crab and shrimp enchiladas and WHEW!!! His attitude was great as well, he did a great job of checking up on us and making sure that we had everything that we needed.“
“There are only a handful of Ethiopian restaurants in the metroplex, and I am so glad Arlington is one of those destinations. It's great to see more cultural cuisine represented on this side of the DFW! This plavlce is a must try! They have vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Both are delicious! Customer service is great! They just moved to a larger space as well.“
“I had a bad experience prior being ignored by a previous older waiter woman with glasses i even complained to a manager that didnt really show empathy. But last Sunday i decided to give them a second chance and to be merciful and gracious, since their food is always super good. And I had an excellent experience food was amazing and the young lady helping us the waitress named Lupita was just super kind and super sweet I love her kindness she has such a sweet soul. I appreciate her attentiveness . She greeted us with a smile.and was eager to help my husband and I, Lupita was just so positive and i appreciate how professional and the excellent customer service she provided despite being so busy. the manager was a tall man super attentive to our needs checking on us. I just want to compliment you for the great service and compliment "Miss Lupita la mesera" she was awesome I pray God blesses her and that she put hers trust in Jesus Christ of Nazereth. may the Lord Jesus Christ bless this establishment, that everyone there may repent and believe in the Lord King Jesus Christ.“
“We came across this spot on the way here from Arizona to do a job nearby and on the way out, we decided to give it a try. We do not regret it one bit. We tried many different tacos and all of them exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this spot for the locals and visitors looking for delicious mexican food.PS the free fideo soup was an unexpected delight.“
“I decided to leave this place a review because I haven't been here in a long time and this place is newly remodeled in front of the Cowboys stadium and the food was amazing!! If you come try the Super Tortas they are so big enough for 2 or 3 people. $24.50 For a single torta is 12.99 for one person.“
“Last night, i went with my mom dad a 2 sisters and a ton of friends and it was one of the best experiences i’ve had The music and karaoke was amazing. Our server, His name was Santiago i believe. He was amazing, he always checked on us and made sure we were okay and happy. I would 100% go back to this restaurant!“
“Goodness gracious the tortas are huge! I had the Torta Bombocha, it has steak, sausage, chorizo cheese and ham with tomatoes and avocado! THE BEST! The horchata was soooo good!! . When you come in, you pick a table and the waitress will take your order. Food arrive fast. If you don't speak Spanish, no worries at all, I was able to order in English. The only downside is the line to pay for your food before you leave. You have to go to the counter, but dont let that stop you from coming here!“
“When someone says “ Breakfast taco” I say myself a breakfast taco is a breakfast taco. Not at this place. Their breakfast tacos are the best. Loaded with eggs and meat and cheese. They are incredible. The green and red sauce is to die for. Highly “
“I recently moved here. Im come from southern california where a street taco is In abundance like the sunshine. I kind of gave up on trying to find an excellent street taco, however, I came across cartel tacos and by far the best taco I've had whether it was california or texas. Don't sleep on this place. 5 star taco ?.“
“Had a Beef Fajita Supreme burrito and it was fantastic. Beef had a wonderful flavor and it was wrapped up so nicely in a lightly grilled burrito. The endless chips and salsa tasted so fresh and the service was outstanding. Also I had the Jalapeno Margarita on the rocks and was not disappointed with it in the slightest. Will definitely come back“
“I recently dined at this Mexican restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. While the menu options were fewer than what I'm accustomed to, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, showcasing authentic flavors that delighted my taste buds. However, one downside of this restaurant is its popularity, which often leads to crowded spaces and difficulty finding parking. It's clear that the restaurant's reputation for good food attracts a large number of customers, contributing to the bustling atmosphere.Despite the crowded environment, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with delicious Mexican cuisine. Just be prepared to navigate through the crowds and plan ahead for parking arrangements.“
“Food is so good well served and affordable service was excellent the only things some kids where just running around and saw some of serves where related with them... I see nothing wrong with bringing your kids but sometimes people come to talk about important things and kids throwing things around or running is crazy...I am a mom so I know kids can be loud but there is time for everything...“
“Really good food - everything was super-fresh and tasty. Chilaquiles with green sauce were on-point, sopes were loaded with beef, and quesadillas were super-tasty with chicken and rajas.Vegetarian options: Plenty of dishes can be made with cheese and beans instead of meat.Kid-friendliness: The owner was really friendly and even gave our kids chocolate coins.“
“Little hole in the wall type place. I had the Carnitas Torta almost a 5⭐ except the carnitas were over fried. My grandkids loved their Ceviche Tostada's and their shrimp ? cocktail. Will come again. The interior could use a make over to make it more inviting and possibly draw more customers looks sad and gloomy inside. Place is large enough to accommodate 6-8 to a table.“
“This is our only stop for Mexican food. The food is always great. I’ve never had a bad experience with the food or service, they are always very good. The atmosphere is good and we enjoy every trip. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and service! Wendy was my last server and she is very good!“
“Love this local no frills neighborhood spot! The Menudo is my favorite. Also love their Chilaquiles! And I enjoyed watching the Michigan vs Maryland game on the TV in the corner. Down home fresh, great and affordable tasting meals served here! If you are ever visiting for a game at AT&T Stadium or Globe Life Park, it is close by!“
“I ordered 10 tacos total and the price was very decent ! They were so nice and the best barbacoa I've had in a while. I have to drive to oak cliff for good tacos and they're more expensive. They need more custos !Vegetarian options: My daughter will not eat meat for sum reason, but they gave us extra salsa, onion and cilantro because they saw that's all she was wanting to eat ?Kid-friendliness: They were so nice to my daughter, they have high chairs & booster seats even tho my lil girl sat with us the whole time“
“We've been a big fan of this restaurant since it was Casa Jose's on Cooper Street! (Long time) My favorite is the bean, chorizo cheese tacos and a Mexican coke! Warning the hot sauce is hot but that's the way we like it! Ole!“
“The food, service and atmosphere were great. We had 2 jalapeño margaritas, ratones, taco salad and pupusa dinner. The margaritas were great, the ratones were stuffed with chicken, the taco salad was as big as Texas and the pupusas were delicious. The cole slaw and bean dip are worth trying before you leave, very yummy flavors. The restaurant kind of reminded us of Scarface mansion for some reason. It's pretty outdated but still fun atmosphere. This place has the COLDEST beer. We had a beer right before we left and it hit the spot. We usually do pickup but we dined in this time. It was a great time and experience. Will always be back.“
“I absolutely love this place so much!!! Every time my friends and I go, the waiter already knows what we are going to order. She is beyond friendly and she always goes out of her way to make sure our food is right and that everything looks as ordered! And the food is fresh every single time! They whole staff is amazing and they will definitely be seeing us a lot more!“
“Needed tamales on Christmas Eve because my person cancelled while on my way to get mine. Swung in here on a hope and prayer they had some. Did not disappoint in any way. I was able to get as many as I needed, they were small in size but the masa meat combo was perfect. 10/10 will eat again.“
“Had dinner here on a Sunday evening and we enjoyed it. The Barbacoa tacos were delicious. The beans and rice were great as well. Everything had great flavor. The red and green salsa were tasty. My favorite was the red salsa. We’re still looking for the homemade like Mom used cook style Mexican restaurant. This wasn’t it, but it is worth coming for a meal every once in and while. I would recommend this Place.“
“Don’t miss this jewel if you are visiting the entertainment district in Arlington. They have the best margaritas in DFW and great food! The coolest thing about Mariano’s is the excellent service. They have many employees that have been there for over 20 years. If you visit the bar area where we always eat you will meet people that have been with Mariano’s for 30 or 40 years as well as customers that have been dining there that long and still love it.“
