“There are several German places in Fredericksburg but I chose this one to celebrate a special event with friends and family and was happy with it. They were very accommodating in having tables for us beside each other for our big party. Prices are reasonable for quality German food. Got the pork schnitzel and it was very yummy. Good fried breading without being too thick or greasy, great sides. Everyone was happy with their meals. Highly recommended if you need a place to celebrate with great food in Fredericksburg!“

“This was my first time here and was not disappointed. The food along with the pretzel appetizer were amazing. The wait was not long at all but if you have a big group then make reservations. The service was great. You will be in awe with water well that is in the restaurant with a see through glass looking down. I will definitely come back again.“

“Very hectic day it seems when we visited. Our waitress wasn't terrible, but definitely not great either. There was a pretty big gap in time from when she served us and when she checked back in. We were done with our food and wanted dessert. My wife and I both had time enough after we finished our food to stand in line at the restroom and go and return with our waitress still not having checked on us (we took turns). The food was good, but definitely not some of the best German food I've had in Texas. I had the Jägerschnitzel and my wife had the German Meatballs. The schnitzel was good, but the sides were pretty bland. The meatballs were good, but the spaetzle was not good at all. Apple strudel was cold and lacked flavor. Beer was nice and cold.“

“The food was great. Everything we ordered was delicious. Great location on main Street. The service was also very good. The only snag is that there are several stairs that you must use at either entrance which normally would not be an issue; however my 93 year old grandmother was with us so we had to be a bit careful navigating the stairs. Again normally not an issue but so be aware that if stairs are a concern you might have some difficulty.“

“Had the beer flight and some great food. Ended up taking home a growler of the El hefe. Staff was attentive and welcoming. EDIT- visited again recently and will likely try some other German places. The chicken wrap was good but the sundried tomatoes were inedible. The club had a huge slab of ham and just as much cheese. The soft pretzel made up for it though.“
