This place is the BEST! The bread pudding was amazing! As well as the classic burger! We loved the people and the vibes were immaculate! ?

Whenever I visit the island I ask local friends to recommend places I haven’t yet tried. This is how I found Gonzalo’s. What a great recommendation! Had a great chat with the owners. Got a breakfast burrito to go and ate it while watching the waves roll in. The burrito was OUTSTANDING and so are Angela and Felipe. I will be back and next time I’m going to dine in. Super cute and cozy in there. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: You are allowed to sub. I swapped out bacon for avocado on my burrito.

My fiancé and I have been trying to find “our place.” No more looking!!! Romantic, quaint, beautiful that is not just the restaurant but the owners. I had the Forager and minestrone soup(both were fresh and absolutely delicious) my husband had the chicken club (also very fresh ingredients and delicious). The restaurant is so well thought out and so unique (I got this feeling of being on vacation at one of the local spots)and it was such a pleasure to dine there. You will see more of us Very Soon!!

$45 for 2 lunch sandwiches (1 upgraded to a side salad) and a drip coffee ?. They were good, but value for money is why it's not a 5star. Cute space and nice folks.

The people are lovely, the smash burger is without a doubt the best I've had in years; I travel all over the country and this is in my top 5. The truffle Parm fries and aioli dipping sauce are just fantastic as well. I couldn't even take a picture before biting into it lol.If you're in Galveston you have to stop by here.

Becoming one of our new favorite island restaurants. In January they had a temporary menu with an amazing chicken pasta dish! Their bread pudding is delicious (I’m not someone who typically orders bread pudding and would highly recommend this). they previously had waitress service which is preferable to the order at the counter we encountered the last time we went. The one thing I would love to see improved is the hours! I often find myself wishing their dinner hours were more frequent or at least open an hour later on the weekend nights.

Really nice environment with good food. I did not take pictures, as we were chatting with some friendly locals. But I got the croissant breakfast sandwich. It was very good. My husband got the smoked salmon roast, we both loved it.

I got the hazelnut latte with regular milk a few weeks ago & I'm still thinking about it! The turkey club sandwich was also delicious, flavorful, and made quickly! The spot is in a quaint old house with plenty of cozy, outdoor seating. The employees are all very nice. Prices are fair. I just wish they were open for longer hours to grab a quick bite after work. Can't wait to come back for more, especially trying the rest of coffees available.
