My fiancé and I have been trying to find “our place.” No more looking!!! Romantic, quaint, beautiful that is not just the restaurant but the owners. The people are lovely, the smash burger is without a doubt the best I've had in years; I travel all over the country and this is in my top 5. The truffle Parm fries and aioli dipping sauce are just fantastic as well. I couldn't even take a picture before biting into it lol.If you're in Galveston you have to stop by here.

Whenever I visit the island I ask local friends to recommend places I haven’t yet tried. This is how I found Gonzalo’s. What a great recommendation! Had a great chat with the owners. Got a breakfast burrito to go and ate it while watching the waves roll in. The burrito was OUTSTANDING and so are Angela and Felipe. I will be back and next time I’m going to dine in.
