“Val is a great bartender she was super busy and let me know it would be a minute before she can get my drink which is nice I didn't feel ignored. She's really funny and nice and made me feel welcome! I'm from out of town and she's super sweet love this bar definitely will come back to see her. Good people and great Atmosphere! “We have friends that swear by the food. Us? Meh. It's bar food. Had pizza and catfish. Bartender was friendly and kept drinks filled. 5 stars for atmosphere because it's got that dive feel but isn't really a dive. We have been here a few times and will come back again. It's a friendly, safe bar with a lot of locals. Overall we recommend.“
“Walking Galveston in January (rain & fog) we saw the advert for Irish coffee....couldn't resist. Yes, we noticed the smoky fragrance but We.Dont.Care! The server (Rachel) brewed fresh coffee and loaded the cups to the top....absolutely wonderful. We had two each...then we split a plate of hot Italian sandwich with chips. Awesome. I love the casual afternoon crowd ( a Scott's cruise-ship engineer was having fun at the end of the bar ( offered to sing for everyone) we had a great time. We will probably stop by before stepping on board of our cruise tomorrow!!!!“
“I love this place so I go Sundays. Usually they have music from 4 o'clock till about eight in the bartender. Albany is the best you talk about smiling, courteous, respectful nice I love this place I recommend this place highly it's a great place to hang out they got the games going on. It's a fun place. “Only here for our first afternoon in Galveston. Dropped in for a few drinks. Very friendly neighborhood bar. Honest bar. "Got white wine?" " Yes, but its terrible." Gin and tonics were great. Learned of a second bar - same owner. We'll be there another day.Parking: Street parking. We were there mid day on Wendnesday. Perhaps a challenge on weekends.“
