“First time trying The Meadows and we were not disappointed. Great spot in Helotes. Their frozen custard was delicious and they have a bunch of options. I went with a peanut butter cup artic swirl, my wife had cookie dough, and my son had a fruity pebble. All delicious. The staff was great- friendly and quick. They have a nice artificial lawn for little ones that need some play space.“

“Busted Sandal Beer Garden in the Helotes Old Town shops area has great atmosphere with indoor seating in air conditioning and outdoor seating at picnic tables and many other tables scattered around the grounds. The beer is excellent, they tap new ones all the time. Yesterday Sunday the 16th of October they had three new ones on tap two ipas and a pumpkin Porter, have to say all three were excellent. Hector working the tap behind the bar is friendly and well informed about the beers. Check the place out you'll enjoy it!“

“This is my second time coming to The Cracked Mug House , had a Galentine’s with my best friend . The Stupid Cupid Drink was absolutely delicious and my friend liked her Chocolate Covered Strawberry Drink. “Upon arrival, I was surprised to see that Starbucks had been replaced. It’s definitely been some time since I’ve been in the area I thought.Early Bird wasn’t bad. The staff were quite friendly, informative, and attentive at that. Before I received my latte I was asked to try it - make sure the coffee was not too strong which the latte overall was perfect. We did try their sample for their horchata milk that is made in-house. Quite interesting taste.The aesthetic of the place was nice. Nice in that grabbing a coffee and or stopping by for a very short while will do. Couldn’t see myself studying nor working here as there is too much going on.Will try and be back if I am in the area again.“

“Great cheesesteaks! The restaurant is in what appears to be a convenient store so make sure to try and go not during lunch time hours or parking is a bit of a challenge. “I dont know how I hadnt heard of this place before! My friend n i went Wednesday n OMG it was delicious! I tasted the Columbian n coconut but instead ordered the acai bowl. Although it was good I should have stuck with the ones I tried. Went back on Saturday. This time o had the coconut, mango n Brazilian and I LOVED IT! My daughter had other flavors n my grandson had the Nutella. We will definitely be recommending this place n going back for sure!!!!“

“Great little place, seems like a family run business. Can't go wrong with Blue Bell ice cream, but also lots of other great treats. “This place is wonderful with excellent service and delicious coffee and empanadas. The menu has a good variety for people who enjoy the taste of just coffee to the people who want a drink to be acquainted with coffee. You can also ask for percent sweetness on drinks which is a cool way to have your flavor but not have it overpower your coffee. Empanadas came out hot and were wonderful! Highly recommend!“

“Favorite coffee spot, hands down! Always fast and friendly service. My favorite order is either the hot Avalanche or the frozen Avalanche in the summer. Delicious! Prices are comparable (maybe a bit more reasonable) to other nearby coffee locations. Love the convenience of the drive thru.“

“Love their happy hour! I always stop by with my parents for a treat. Staff is always helpful and patient in helping my parents find a tea to drink. I would not recommend their coffee, however. 2 out of 2 times I have tried their coffee it has tasted bitter. It's either burned or old. It is called HTeaO for a reason! Stick to their tea and you will be happy!“

“Really good churros fried nicely and not greasy. The many sauce combinations is really a great option to offer the customers! Minis are my favorite :) I would like to see homemade sauces maybe some fruit toppings offered would be a good pairing for later down the road. Overall it was great! “It’s a cute place but today’s dining experience was not ideal. One meal came out a long time after the other. Be aware that Nutella Waffle is heavily slathered with Nutella as well as chocolate syrup (making it unsuitable for breakfast except to those with a significant sweet tooth). Diced ham inside crepe was room temperature and bothered stomach hours later.“

“I visited Tacos Panda for the first time on a Friday night and went right back the next day because it was so good! I’d go again today, but it’s closed Sundays. We tried the street tacos, torta, burrito, burger, and hot dog. The best ones were the alambre street tacos. Highly recommend. Their creamy chipotle salsa was very good. I hope they add a creamy green salsa to the menu. The food smells great, tastes even better, and is not extremely salty. I met Panda and he was super nice and friendly. We’re definitely going to become repeat customers. Awesome place!“

“I heard good things about their beer, so I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. I'm a big fan of German and Belgian style beers and that appears to be their specialty. The Tripel Volunteer was pretty authentic for a Belgian Tripel. However, the MKII Doppelbock fell well short of an authentic German Doppelbock... it went flat in a hurry, tasting as if it spent some time in a whiskey barrel, and also had a smell of vinegar on the nose. Even so, I recommend Longtab as a good craft beer venue. Prompt friendly service. I'm a veteran and I give these veterans a big thumbs up!“

“Super cute coffee shop. A little difficult to get to, the front entrance is on the street and no parking. You have to park in/near parking structure, there's another entrance in the back. The place is small and near the college so seating is limited. The coffee selection was small and simple, no foo-foo drinks, just straight up coffee. They had a special drink with cereal milk and that was interesting but came out to be delicious. The person at the cashier was kind and knowledge of the menu. If I'm around this area again I would stop buy. They had great coffee.“

“Pack your bags and immediately go to El Monte for the best BBQ that you’ll be tasting. Tender, juicy, smoky, and did I mention tender? It was Easter Sunday. They were open for another hour. We were hungry. We headed there after some birding at Government Canyon State Natural Area. No yellow-cheeked warblers today, but we were okay with it because we did get ribs, sausage, Barbacoa tacos with fresh tortillas, creamed corn, and coconut cake at El Monte’s BBQ. The owner and staff were so friendly. The owner even showed us the smoker, which his dad had made from a propane tank in 1978. Having this history to go along with the meal was really special. The owner even gave us some brisket burnt ends to try. Wowza!!! I’ve tasted nothing like this in my life. The smoke was perfect. The seasoning was right on. Thank you El Monte!!“

“A nice alternative to all the chain options near the SA airport. Considering it is in a strip mall area it does a nice job utilizing the outside space for tables. Food portions were great for the price. Two meals and two extra sides cost me $33. Everything seems fresh and was tasty. Everyone front staff at register, food runners, to those tidying tables were nice and helpful.Bonus: we wanted to hang and chat well after we finished eating and had no trouble doing so.“

Run by a one man that do everything from cooking to taking payment and he’s doing awesome with how the service and quality of the taco.Our favorite is the classic potato and egg and chorizo and their birria taco!Sometimes we caught him still grilling the meat so you know you are getting fresh meat every day.They have small parking lot for I guess it’s meant for takeout but if you decide to eat in the area he also prepared number of chairs and tables and it is covered area.“
