We were very pleasantly surprised by breakfast at this hotel. In particular, Kim, our server, was absolutely on top of the experience, both by serving us well, getting our food to us in a timely fashion, and by doing the same for several other tables of people all there at the same time.It didn’t hurt that the food was good as well, but sometimes a person just impresses you by the quality of how she does what she does. That was the case with Kim.
The food is ok- breakfast burrito was good, the Reuben was not, quesadilla they forgot the avocado, cheesecake was disappointing, burger was decent.. But when I went for breakfast yesterday my airline voucher was SEVEN CENTS short of my total and before I could even say anything, the woman started telling me how I had to go get her a dime before I could get my food- which I'm aware- nothing is free in this world, Right?! I prefer short and informative reviews, but saying the service was poor won't do. Although it may have been an off day for staff, this seemed like bad work culture. It wasn't particularly busy-- 4 tables being served at the time with 2 servers. It took 15 minutes before they finally took our orders. Meanwhile, others were waiting patiently to be served in some manner; a family needed their check, a man wanted another drink, and another man was waiting to order.
