“Teriyaki chicken and rice were great! 10/10. I'm not a fan of the macaroni style, didn'tfinish, 1/10. Hawaiian BBQ beef was 7/10, same rice mac. The homemade Thai tea was just as good as 85°C Bakery (which is the best), but it's two or three times as expensive. $5.50 per, like a chili's house margarita. Little pricey. The service was great. Solemn guy at counter was a champ, 10/10. Made me feel like I was really in Hawaii being assisted by a local who didn't enjoy tourists. Decor was cute cute, 10/10. Tiki hut table and food buckets for sale.Next time I walk in, I'd like a smiling tan Hawaiian girl in bikini, take my order. I'll know to sub the mac for anything edible. 2 orders of teriyaki. I'll use the food buckets for sale as drums, and I'll sneak in my own thai tea and save $11. Use that $ for a tip to the lady, leave my number, never get called. Then... 10/5. Epic restaurant.Summer is coming. Offer cute tank tops at cost + $5.50 with Hawaiian BBQ logo. Free thai tea drink if they post and tag on Instagram.“
“Came here a while back with a friend, and we had a great time! The food was super tasty, and the service was very friendly. The food was also very reasonably priced! We ordered the rainbow and rock n' roll sushi rolls and the spam musubi. I'd definitely come back!“
“Stop into this Hidden Hawaiian Gem. Frank Dawg will handle all your needs at this establishment to full satisfaction. The Lemon Peppered chicken was on point and the Macaroni Salad was super delicious. When ordering from Big Frank, Don't forget to ask for the Rio Special when you order here, they'll you right up!!“
“I was visiting my family in Houston and my cousin took me here for poke. I absolutely loved trying this place - perfect amount of protein, the fish tasted fresh, not too much sauce, and great portion sizes. I even liked how they had utensils corresponding to different levels of expertise, which was funny. The ambiance was nicer inside but there is seating inside and outside. The staff was nice and completed our order pretty fast. I loved the Spicy Shoyu signature bowl with rice as the base, spicy tuna instead of salmon, and seaweed salad added. Usually poke places can be stingy with the amount of protein they add but this place added the perfect amount! I also love seaweed salad so I was ecstatic to see it as a topping. My cousins also loved the Tuna Aioli signature bowl and we all finished the regular size, so it was great portion sizes. Can't wait to visit Houston again and eat the Spicy Shoyu bowl again!“
“The drip coffee and it was good. We aren’t vegans, but we tried the lump crab (mushroom not crab) gumbo. The flavor was excellent. I’m not a fan of the vegan sausage in it, but otherwise it was very good. The service was great and the server was very friendly. It was a beautiful day to enjoy their outdoor seating. Inside was a little loud for us, but I’m old.PaulVegetarian options: All vegan.“
“The customer service is why this a star is missing. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing, but the staff is not very welcoming or friendly. The poke bowls make up for that however. I love the salmon and tuna. I get half rice and half greens for the base. I also ask for my meat to be mixed in a bowl with sauce and placed atop my base then add the toppings. The place gives a Togo type of feel. It's very empty in there so doesn't give you a cozy want to dine in vibe, but they do have tables off to the left side if you want to dine in. Overall, these are good quality poke bowls. I'd say stop in.“
“This location has a nice poke options a decent bang for buck. I think when I do the make it yourself it's probably about a $15 poke bowl. Oh that's what you expect when you do three proteins. It's not a location for dining really as it's pretty narrow, but it's a great place to be able to grab in and go the sauces. Flavors are good what you would expect and the service is friendly, but not overly cheerful.“
“We live directly behind a pokeworks, and I still go up the street to get local poke instead. Their portions and service are unmatched in comparison. Everyone there is extremely friendly, I don't think I've ever walked into this place once and was disappointed by the customer service. Quality of food and portion sizes are also superior to any other local pokéspot in my opinion.“
“I really enjoyed the spicy pork bowl. The meat was very good and had a sweet and spicy taste. I ordered the macaroni salad and cucumber salad, but instead received Cole slaw and grilled vegetables. I didn't want to go to the trouble of returning and did enjoy these healthier sides. The price was not bad at $13 and I didn't have to wait long for the food. I definitely will return.“
“The food was great, I love their poké bowels and they have a variety of toppings. The service was wonderful, Jordan really did help me through the process when I first got there. Lastly, the atmosphere is very calming and relaxing, but bright which makes it a perfect place to hangout! 10/10 would recommend!“
“The fajita tacos are really good here. The tortilla is nice and soft and the fajita is chopped up small with a very small char on it and it taste so delicious. Each taco de maiz cost $2 and they are NOT the small 1 bite tacos. I highly recommend it first time here and I will return to try out the rest of the menu.“
“Ordered the Truffle yellowtail bowl (half rice half greens as base, added wakame and avocado for extra) for dinner and Pandan flavored Rice Krispies for dessert while staying late at the office one day. The ingredients were fresh for poke place standard, and the flavor of the bowl came very well together. The price was reasonable for the location. I am a fan of the Rice Krispies, nice pandan flavor, crispy and not overly sweet. This place is fefinitely one of the healthier options in downtown.“
“Hot inside so we don’t usually eat in. we LOVE THIS PLACE, however they really don’t like to give you ingredients! It’s 17.00 for a bowl but they literally are so sticky about adding a decent amount of avocado you don’t even get a teaspoon or even lettuce! One of the girls was literally just putting one piece of lettuce in at a time and I’m like can I please have a decent amount of lettuce?! They will charge you extra for avocado Masego or kimchi! ? I wish they’d be better to the customers!“
“SUCH a good deal, if you're craving sushi but not the cost or craving sushi but local to focus on the protein. The portion is huge and the fish is always fresh. It *does not* smell like fish, which is a huge indicator of just how fresh the fish is. $15 for easily $60 worth of food at a sushi joint.“
“The customer service is good this is my first time being here I enjoyed the food being that I had my three kids with me at 1:00 in the morning and the kids is undecided so the manager came to the drive-thru to help me out I believe her name was Tiffany and she recommended some good dishes and I told her to surprise me and I paid for my food and drove tomorrow and I enjoyed the food it was very enjoyable tasty thank you for the good customer service“
