Decent tacos in a pinch. Be careful about their closing hours. They like to lock their doors over ten minutes before they post being closed. It’s lame to treat customers that way, not honoring your posted business hours.Oh well, on to El Rey Taqueria. They have a drive-thru and honor their posted hours.
This small, unassuming taqueria on the side of a local Shell station makes arguably the best tacos in Houston. Tortillas are light and fresh; tacos are not heavy or greasy. The migas tacos are amazing with plenty of fresh vegetables, mixed with the eggs. And the chorizo, for some reason is amazingly good compared to others.
