Great spot. Quantities were generous, and the BBQ was really great. The brisket was as good as I expected, the pork ribs were even better than I was hoping, and the sausage was decent but nothing amazing. Mac and cheese as a side was OK, the tater tot casserole was significantly better. Overall it's good value - 2 people with moderate appetites could share a 3 meat platter and be satisfied, and it'd come in under $20/person after tip.
I’ve been here twice so far and can’t wait to go back. When I first went I asked my friend who had been there before “is the food worth waiting in that line?” He quickly said “yes.” And now I totally agree with him! The line moved at a decent pace. The meats are all amazing except for the turkey which I found to be a little lacking in flavor. The sides are some of the best sides in Houston. I’d stand in line just for those brussel sprouts.
