“We were in town celebrating my daughers birthday, we stopped here for dinner. The prices wer ereasonable and we all had a great time. I feel the service was on point. We loved the food! Very unique, and the steak didn't require any sauces or anything. Lovely dinner and looking forward to coming back. Thank you for making my daughters birthday!“

“I'm from New Orleans. I know a good bar experience from a mediocre one. I have to say, Leah, the bartender working when we came in, had a keen eye for attention to detail, made every single drink ordered with a level of finesse that is fit for a 3 star Michelin star restaurant, and honestly made it with love. She was a good representation of Dallas and I hope other people in dallas get to know that if they want an amazing cocktail experience, they should ask for Leah at 3Eleven Cocktails“

“This is definitely an atmosphere. Mood lighting, ambiance, and nice views for window seats. There is plenty of seating and friendly staff. Most people were dressed business casual.Great for lunch, business lunch/dinner, happy hour, dates, after work meet-up, dinner meet-up, and dine in alone. Nice bar area.Unique menu options, appropriate portions, and tasty dishes. Crab nachos are my favorite.Bathrooms are clean. Most seating is comfortable. There is a gorgeous space to rent for private parties or work parties. Downtown parking in nearby garages or metered with 2hr max. If there is a wait, the eyeball park is next door.My go-tos are crab nachos and pick 2/3 smart bowls.“

“Talk about welcoming?! Absolutely beautiful place, music fun to listen to, food by far sends my tastebuds out of this world!I had the Truffle Mac & Cheese Croquettes - packed with flavor, creamy! Slight kick from the Sriracha Aioli! And very thankful for the greens to balance it out!Variety of drinks to choose from but very thankful for the mocktails! I had the Hibiscus No-Jito! The zing from the ginger beer, with a sweet and sour after taste from the Hibiscus and the lingering mint to finish it off! Definitely trying the Texas Sunset next time!Flair was so helpful with the menu and Laura on top always running back and fourth attending all guests but keep a smile on her face! Can’t wait to bring my friends out here!“

“I eat dinner in this area all the time, and I can’t believe I missed this place. This is one of the rare times I ate an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert, and completely finished it without taking any leftovers, it was that good. My server was Elena and she was purely lovely. Knowledgeable, friendly, and great attention to detail. Definitely coming back, enjoy the photos. You’ll have to figure out what they are yourself when you dine in.“

“We spent $1000 on a meal for four with good wine. I had a steak and added their seafood skewer to it. It was one of the top meals I’ve had in the last five years! Shrimp, King crab, scallops, and lobster with a steak was amazing. The Bucatini appetizer with wine was amazing. I wish they didn’t have loud weird music. I wish the server had done a better job, keeping up with pouring the wine for us. That said it was one of the top experiences I have had in Dallas.“

“This was great first time coming and I ordered the # 5, 8, and 10 additionally I ordered the sangria, coconut curry queso and the red velvet! I will say my favorite is the #5 out of the tacos but the others were just as good! The queso was amazing and the sangria was lit! Would definitely come back!“

“Went in for a quick bite before a Mavs game…did not disappoint. Had the steak and frites…basic (the dish), but perfectly prepared and delicious. My wife had the chicken piccata. The orzo was a bit soupy but taster very good. Alan took care of us and was very helpful, pleasant, and knew his restaurant. Had the Texas Cabernet and it was delicious. A neighborhood steakhouse—a little loud but welcoming. A lot of families.“

“Lunch to celebrate my friends birthday and we had a wonderful experience. We had the burger, pot roast, and pear & goronzola salad. Definitely a step up from our usual lunch spots and enjoyed the ambiance. Our server Martha was amazing! Highly recommend requesting her when you go, you won't be disappointed.“

“This experience was unparalleled. I took my father out for a steak after he had been sidelined for some time with health issues. Starting at the host stand, they were super accommodating, and really went the extra mile to treat him as a special guest. We enjoyed a bourbon prior to dinner, and an excellent Wagyu Carpaccio with arugula, pickled beats, shaved manchego, and a spicy mayo base remoulade. The flavors were magnificent. We both enjoyed a 7oz filet with the cognac pepper and hollandaise sauce, which were a perfect accompaniment. Their wine selection by the glass was impressive; my father had a glass of Peju Merlot, and I had a glass of Threfethen Cabernet. Dean Fearing stopped by our table to say hello and paid his respects. The entire experience was well worth the money. I highly recommend this place.“

“This place has a laid back atmosphere with food that isn't pretentious. Many of the dishes have a distinct south Texas flair with a truly unique and delicious twist to them. The pancakes were outstanding and I rarely enjoy pancakes. These are a must for brunch! Also, the goat guisada was some of the best guisada that we've ever had and we've eaten a lot of guisada. We also had the pork belly which was absolutely phenomenal. Pair that with some amazing cocktails like the Cactus Jack or the Kincaid, and you just can't go wrong. Every detail was thought of at Encina...fabulous service, great ambiance, reasonable prices, great portions...We will definitely be coming back here!“

“Only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars for service was because I was told I couldn't eat my vegan food I brought with me (I was a part of a group of 5) because they don't like outside food. I understand that. They need to step up their game and add some more options for vegans. Side note, I was the one that recommended the group eat there. I ordered a beer and fries as well, so it was only the vegan burger I brought in that was the issue.Other than that, wonderful place and experience.“

“I flew into Dallas for a conference at the Adolphus Hotel on Easter Sunday. It felt a bit cliché sitting alone at a hotel bar on a holiday. I mentioned that in passing to the most amazing bartender Nate. We had a laugh and Nate made it his mission to make sure my evening was anything but! With amazing service, attention to detail and riveting conversation Nate made my night!!The food and drink were good but the experience was stellar. Thanks Nate!! I’ll see you again the next time I’m in Dallas!“

“We finally made it out (a few weeks ago - I’ve been on the road & didn’t get to this) to our local favorite chef, Luke Rogers restaurant, ‘Beckley 1115’. Extremely proud of his accomplishments! This is a hidden gem & worth the visit. If you were lucky enough to taste his food while he was at the, ‘Cathedral Italian Bistro’ (Plano), you will be in for a treat! Beckley is a comfortable small (currently serving wine, but have applied for full liquor license) eclectic experience, with full focus on quality ingredients & mindfulness on the food/flavor. ❤️(heads up- name change in the works)Next time you are in Dallas for an event, or live in the vicinity, go give it a try! BTW, they have a nice wrap around patio too??“

“Everything about this place is GREAT! The dining room is nice, the owner was polite and friendly, and the food was amazing! I ordered the 6pc catfish and chicken tenders combo with cajun fries. The batter was light, delicate and very flavorful...the catfish was tender and the chicken was juicy. Every itemI had was fried but didn't taste 'heavy' at all. The shack sauce is fire...The fries were crisp on the outside yet soft and fluffy inside. The lemonade was delicious as well! 10/10 ??? I wish I lived here so I could eat it more often! Lol“

“Decent brunch spot that has good live music. I got the grilled cheese with the tomato bisque soup, which was decent. The service was very attentive and courteous. With the live music, it is difficult to hear a conversation with whoever you come with.Vegetarian options: You can get one of their pizzas or the triple cheese grilled cheese. Their dinner menu had a few more, but those are not available for brunch.“

“Food was great - had a mule too - we enjoyed a burger and a salad and split the Reese’s shake. Fun atmosphere and food had solid portions and very tasty. However we were with a large group and sat outside - tables were filthy - we even asked if they could be wiped down prior (food but and sticky shake drips etc) Nobody showed so we did it ourselves. Two long picnic tables for a party of 25 - but again service was great and no complaints in food. Glad we went early as it started to feel like it would get pretty rowdy later in the evening.“

“Such a great experience coming here. We walked out of the apartment and decided let's try something new. Very glad we stopped here. My Reuben was delicious and my girlfriend thought her fish and chips were cooked excellent. The cocktails also had a great and fresh taste. We topped it off with the chocolate mousse and an espresso martini. We will definitely be coming back for a good date a few more cocktails.“

“We haven't been here in quite a while. We only came once a few years back. It's not in our driving area so I had forgotten about it. I was looking for a place to eat that was on the route we were taking and it popped up in my history. So, we stopped by.All the wonderful feelings came back just like when we first came. Norma's Cafe is the full expression of a "Home Cooked Meal" in the very best way.We stopped by around 6pm. I got a breakfast plate (breakfast served all day) - Florentine Omelet (I was brave) with grits, biscuit and sausage gravy. My wife got a dinner plate - Fish nuggets, green beans and mashed potatoes (the Friday Special). They were both very satisfying!!We were also served homemade cornbread and rolls - Wow! .. so Delicious! We finished it off with Peach Cobbler topped with creamy vanilla ice cream. The breading had such a gourmet flavor. Our server, Kesha, brightened our day with her delightful personality and over-the-top knowledge about everything they served (who needs a menu). We will be trying to find more things to do this way so we can stop by more often.“

“Fantastic Monday happy hour. In town for work and this is a reliable, tasty option with very friendly staff. You can just order a few apps and be set, even if you’re feeling hungry. The ranch water is tasty if you’re craving something boozy, and the meatballs are stellar.“

“Midnight Rambller is a good place for a classic cocktail. I got an old fashioned which was pretty standard in price. There are some adventurous options on the menu as well. The lady who served us was nice. I don't hang out downtown often, but I will definitely need to revisit this place whenever I'm downtown again.“

“Ordered a salad sliced tomatoes and pizza cheese in big chunks .a lot less than I expected. It was a great place though best music in awhile . Everyone was getting the fried steak dinner wish I hadn't cooked a big turkey this afternoon. Service with a smile Great place really enjoyed it. Don't eat first and enjoy a Texas fried steak dinner . For sure potatoes and team gravy . Only thing is now I'll go back for sure“

“The seating is a bit cramped the closer you get to the kitchen, so just pray to not be seated there. Drinks are good, food is good, and nothing is dry which is a BLESSING with southern comfort food. If I'm trying to impress someone from out of town with good Dallas Southern food, with a hint of bougie, I'm bringing them here and feeling confident about it. I've been twice now and the service was lovely each time. My real recommendation is that Mac and cheese and the chicken fried steak. I hope this place is around for a good while.“

“An authentic "dive bar" that has nothing to do with Oswald. The Grilled Cheese on jalapeno cheese bread w/added bacon was delicious, and I recommend the onion rings over the fries. The music was great, the outside ambiance wonderful, and you could carry on a conversation while folks danced and celebrated. The gal at the bar was super friendly, but tended to visit with patrons as much as serve drinks, so don't expect immediate service...just relax and soak up the vibe of the truly genuine cultural treasure.“
“Surprised I’ve never put up a review of this place before now. This is one of my favorite breweries. Not only are the beers great, and I mean consistently great regardless of the style, the food is always top notch! I’ll definitely be back and if you have a chance to visit have a beer, try the fried chicken, and take a coffee to go when you’re done. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.“

“Just happened to find this place as we got off the hop-on, hop-off bus a couple of blocks away. Without a doubt, the yellowfin tuna fish tacos were the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and a very large portion. My wife took her's back to the hotel for dinner. Great beer selection . Not crowded on at Saturday afternoon. Wish we had more to explore Deep Ellum as the mural art and eclectic businesses look like a lot of fun.“

“This was the second time I have eaten at Henry's Majestic for brunch, and it was delicious. For such an expansive space, the tables were well-looked after, and the food and rink options are thoughtful. I enjoyed the beef marrow burger with housemade chips, followed by the avocado/deviled eggs starter. A nice bottle of bubbly rose' , and we were both enjoying the vibrant Spring day.“

“My team was in town for a conference and I had to take them to Perry's. We were a group of six. The service was top notch. Our courses were timed perfectly and each course was served at the same time. No waiting for plates which is important with a group. Everything was promptly cleared as we finished. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with not only the service, the "fancy" restaurant, but the Texas sized portions of everything. I warned them in advance to wear stretchy pants. Very pleasant experience. My food: White chocolate cheesecake not smooth, a little chunky 6/10; macaroni very creamy and cheesy a meal on its own 9/10; sausage was such a huge helping. Nice flavor 8/10; escargot was meaty but surprisingly in bbq. Once you get past that, it was pretty ok 7/10“

“Came here for an event. Got to say this is a fantastic beer bar, with an amazing beer garden. “Hole in the wall near the JFK memorial across from El Centro. If you blink you will miss it. They have the same menu they've had for decades. Reasonable prices CASH ONLY. It's narrow with maybe 3 tables and lunch bar with about 6 or so seats. 1 cook and 1 cashier. Good food and good people. Been going here for 20 years. For a quick 5.00 breakfast sandwich or hotcakes or burger or patty melt....this is my spot. The food and the people are consistent. You know what you're getting each time you pop in.“

“If you’ve read my other reviews you pretty much know I’m big on customer service. I give this place a 10/10. My bartender liv was amazing the hostess tonight (black lady with a short cut and light eyes) was amazing (I didn’t catch her name but want to make sure y’all know who I’m talking about. & Henry who answered the phone everytime I called for assistance with parking…AMAZING. I ordered the wok bowl. Noodles were tougher than I thought they would be BUT I’d order it again because the fresh broccoli, the sauces, the mushrooms…everything intertwined together really made that dish. I’m not a gin person but liv gave me a different perspective because those French 75s and the cucumber she made for me really was great! I did try to order wine but we couldn’t quite get one to fit my taste buds. I went during hh so my price tag was under $50 before tip. I highly recommend and will absolutely be back“

“We were at the convention center for a volleyball tournament and this place was able to get our team in (about 25 people). We had a front section all to ourselves so that was nice. The decor and feel of the location was nice. We had one waitress for our group but she did a great job managing the separate tickets and getting us taken care of. The kitchen was a bit slow but that’s expected when we arrive as a group. The lodes queso was excellent and so were the burgers. Anything will grilled or blackened chicken however was gross. The chicken breasts taste and smell like they were boiled first, then grilled or blackened.Kid-friendliness: Acceptable for kids“

I ordered the Charred Pawns as an appetizer and it was delicious! Definitely left me wanting more. For my entree, I ordered the Jumbo Sea Scallops and I thoroughly enjoyed this dish as well.
