“This was our first time going to Hawkers. We were having a fun, lovely evening walking around Deep Ellum, checking out the urban art and visiting the shops. We eventually decided to grab a bite to eat and remembered we passed this place earlier and it seemed interesting, so we popped in for a bite. The place has great ambiance They let us know that the kitchen would be closing soon, but they were glad to have us. We were seated and promptly greeted by Naundi who is friendly and cheerful. Naundi asked if anyone had any food allergies, and this is very important, because my girlfriend has a ton of food allergies! Naundi took the time to peruse the menu with my girlfriend, clearly on a mission to help her find something that wouldn't hurt her through her allergies, and that she would really enjoy as well. We finally found out what we wanted to order and it came out pretty quickly. Even though they were clearly trying to get ready to close, we never felt rushed. This was a special experience because my girlfriend has a hard time finding places to eat due to her allergies. Naundi made this an exceptional experience for us and we could not be happier with our visit there.“

“GO TO HUTCHINS INSTEAD!!! (UNLIMTED DESSERT THAT TASTE BETTER THAN HERE) Me and my boyfriend ordered from here and it was NOT worth it. We ordered two buns and they literally squished them into one container. We also ordered two slabs of brisket and they didn't even bother to cut that in half. They also forgot HALF of our order which was the sausages. Mac and cheese tastes really weird because of the cheese they use (not good AT all in my opinion). I also posted a comment under one of their posts on instagram and they of course deleted it. Horrible customer service.“

“Yesterday was my first experience with Billy Can Can. I can honestly say that this is one of the coolest restaurants in Dallas. The food is excellent, and the wait staff was top notch. Easy to Valet park, so that is not an issue. Sidewalk seating for nice evenings.“

“Lunch to celebrate my friends birthday and we had a wonderful experience. We had the burger, pot roast, and pear & goronzola salad. Definitely a step up from our usual lunch spots and enjoyed the ambiance. Our server Martha was amazing! Highly recommend requesting her when you go, you won't be disappointed.“

“Had one hellish day at work, looked up a good whisky bar and when I saw in the photos they had not just the token Scotch you see everywhere, but a good selection including my favorites from the little island of Islay, I had to go to burn off the bad day. The staff was awesome, the food felt like grandmas home cooking, and after smelling the awesome burning cedar plank, had to try the smoked old fashioned, which felt like a wonderful fall hug. Had a good dram of Caol Ila 12, a new one for me that I now need my own bottle of! Will seriously be back soon, got a few other in their Scotch selection I need to try!“

“Stopped by today since I love a good Philly cheesesteak. I got a plain Jane with fries and koolaid. My boyfriend got a Philly cheesesteak, fries, wings and koolaid. We also got two slices of cake. We paid almost $45 with a tip. The lady at the counter was nice and helpful. The food took around 20 minutes but it was hot and fresh . The location isn't the safest but the inside was pretty nice. I would say to check it out if you're in the area just don't go after dark lol“

“We had a wonderful time here before checking into our Airbnb nearby! We grabbed a couple drinks, sat on the patio with our 2 young kids and dog, and ate some of our to go food before taking the rest with us. We didn’t want to leave, the service was so great, and everything tasted so good!! If anyone is looking for an espresso martini in that area, look no further it was amazing! “This place is nice has a lot of variety which is nice and plenty of seating. I tried the chiangus tacos. They would have been good if they were hot but they were stone cold and the people at this restaurant weren't very friendly or helpful so that's a never again. My friend had waffle press. Took awhile but he loved it. Will return for that.“

“I had a wonderful time in the French Room for high tea. The room and architecture is STUNNING and you immediately feel glamorous as you walk in. The service is also top notch. Our waitress (both times I've gone) offered a mini photo shoot at our table to make sure me and my guests got cute photos together. During my latest visit, our waiter took the time to tell us about each of the teas served - I loved learning about them and he was so passionate. The experience is so lovely and the treats delicious too (my favorite is always the scones & clotted cream). Here is how I would rate the high tea goodies: - Champagne (7/10) - Savory indulgences (tea sandwiches) (7/10) - Scones, tea cakes & pastries (8/10) - Hot teas (10/10) Pro tip: Going during the Christmas holiday season is such a magical time to go; the hotel and French room are beautifully decorated then. He was very positive and made sure when it started sprinkling on the patio he opened our umbrellas so we did not get rained on. “UPDATE: We went back to CHB today for brunch and I ordered to short rib hash again and was very disappointed to find out they changed the menu and it no longer comes with chimichurri sauce. “The sushi at this restaurant is excellent and very fresh. I highly recommend trying their specialty rolls, particularly the Burn Your Stomach roll. It has the perfect balance of spice and flavor. The lychee margarita is also a must-try. However, the service can be slow as there appears to be only one server and a host. If you are very hungry, I suggest sitting at the bar for faster service. Despite this, it remains one of my favorite sushi spots.“
