“Basically a Mexican restaurant featuring fish dishes. Not a bad thing. Reminds me of Mambo's. Breading on fish too thick. Had to use knife to cut instead of fork. Sides good although you can skip the fries. Salad actually had tomato in it! Prices reasonable. Service outstanding.“

“They let us come in a little early which was very kind. We were seated at a premium table which was lovely. Our waiter was attentive when bringing the bread, a black napkin and our drinks. After that we didn't see him much, and we had run out of butter for the scrumptious bread. We waited and waited. He finally noticed that we needed some service. Now folks, we arrived at 3:50, so it wasn't like we were sharing him with multiple tables. Finally, he came, brought the butter and then we waited for our food, and waited.... After a while, we asked the eta and were told one of the sauces took a while. Too long!! My husband ordered the special—red fish. It was fair. I ordered the scallops, and they were tasty. The broccolini was cold and flavorless. The waiter hand-served it, a nice touch. But it was cold. The manager came by but we didn't want to make a scene. So, our thoughts on this restaurant were that it deserves about a 3 1/2 stars for this experience.“

“This place was highly recommended by a friend so I made the 30min drive from the heights and was NOT disappointed. From the warm greeting when you walk in to the amazing customer service. Then when finished and enjoying the wine they brought the check so just made it seems like they wanted to kick you out quick. I bought 3lbs of their kickin style flavor. A little on the sweet side for my liking but still very tasty. Corn was good. Sausage was OK. I don't ever care for potatoes but the wife wanted some. Also got the shrimp and fish basket with Cajun fries. Overall we were extremely satisfied. Crawfish was 8.99/lb. Decent size. Only a few dead ones. The shrimp was seasoned and fried perfectly. And so was the fish (I requested for catfish). All in all I would definitely go back again. The wife isn't a big crawfish eater or fried food but even she liked it a lot!!“

“Had a far better experience than last visit. Sat at bar table but not at bar. The chopped salad is not a traditional chopped salad, but it is still good. The fried crawfish tails added definitely made the dish. They were hot, fresh, crispy, and appropriately spiced. Seasonal adult beverage was tasty.Parking: Glad they have added a stoplight on 1960 that facilitates turning into the parking lot.“

“Originally we went to the Maryland St location and it was closed, this location looks a little more modern. Since it was closed we decided to try their Lamb st location, I gotta say I was skeptical at first, the place doesn't look that nice from the outside. Inside it's a typical Mexican restaurant, but the food was amazing. Molcajete azteca was good although would have liked the stone hotter and the food didn't feel that hot but over all great taste. Also had their prawns, mussels, shrimp and octopus plate and the sauce it's drenched in is absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend.“

“Pappasito’s has been one of my favorite restaurants in Houston for many years.We have not been to Pappasito's in a while due to their ever increasing prices, but we tried it one more time on last Thursday.It was around 3:00pm. Not many people. The "Hostess" did not want to seat me. I looked around the empty restaurant and asked why she would not seat me and told me the wait would be 20 minutes. I called the manager. And he gave me an excuse that they were short in personnel and I have to wait, instead of seating us and committing to provide a good positive experience regardless as they have always done it. My positive experience has not been the same and they keep raising their prices to a point that it’s ridiculous high. Lunch for three people, a beef quesadilla, two tacos, a small tortilla soup, water and two drinks $40 per person? Something in their management has changed.“
