“Came in over the weekend for some coffee and breakfast. I loved this place. I got the baklava latte with one of their croissant sandwiches. The latte was delicious, tasted like baklava, and had a fruity note to it. The sandwich was so good, too. It had perfectly melty mozzarella cheese and was so tasty. My fiancé got a piece of baklava and the smoky vanilla charcoal latte. He loved the baklava and he thought the latte was really interesting. The vibe was chill coffee shop and I loved the aesthetics. Service was really good too! So glad we stopped here and I can’t wait to come back and try more items!“

“Great neighborhood spot in Spring Branch. Been visiting off & on for years, but this is quickly becoming our new favorite go-to spot. Great draft selection, plenty of bottles & cans, great seltzer options & wine as well. Very mellow vibe always. Perfect amount of lighting inside. Cozy vibes. Plenty of seating. Backyard area is sweet & intimate. Everything is priced extremely reasonably. No pomp & circumstance involved. Great weekly date night spot for a few easy drinks. Owner is a nice guy too.“

“Our first visit was to celebrate my daughter's 22nd birthday. The food is exceptional, the drinks are creative and on point. We started off with some street corn for an appetizer! I had seafood Mexicana with shrimp scallops and octopus seasoned with a siracha sauce over risotto. The wait staff all sang Happy Birthday and gave her a piece of quattro leches cake....OMG! A perfect place to celebrate ? anything! Soo good! Cory was our server and helped with our food selection as well as being a spirit guide for all of their creative libations. Can't wait to come back and try several other dishes real soon! Run don't walk to try all of their delicious food!“

“We love it here! It’s so nice to mix it up from the typical ice cream shop (but they do have scooped ice cream too!) My go to is a Mango popsicle dipped in white chocolate. The owner is a great guy and always has recommendations of combos to try.“

“Although I arrived right before they were scheduled to close for the day, I was graciously welcomed, seated, received incredible service attention and served a five-star Brie appetizer and expertly prepared grilled salmon. At no time was I made to feel hurried; instead, I was offered coffee and dessert even though they were already closed. Cafe Benedicte offers an exceptional dining experience. Highly recommend!“

“We were able to literally walk "down the street" to Down the Street restaurant/bar. Food was slightly limited but varied enough to give everyone something they enjoyed. I think the limited offerings help us make quick decisions, plus they are able to focus on a few items they can prepare really well. Plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the neighborhood.Parking: The parking could get hard to find during busy times, but most customers walked which reduced the stress on parking.Kid-friendliness: We saw several kids having a good time as well as lots of dogs in the outdoor seating area.“

The combination of beautiful indoor climate controlled spaces with TVs to catch the game, plus outdoor shaded spaces is very appealing for families and pet owners. I'm a sucker for a good turtle sundae (which chocolate custard instead of vanilla) and Connies always delivers, offering salty pecans, smooth custard, and friendly quick service...every visit. Although their standard Sunday size offers more custard than I can finish, I'm no quitter, I give it a go everytime! Make sure to check out their happy hour and specials as they clearly value creative, sweet treats! Connie's is such a treat...literally! Worth every calorie!“

My husband and I both had the beef bourguignonne- it was fine but unexceptional. My daughter loved her chicken fricassee but was underwhelmed by the onion soup. Overall, it was good but not great.“
