“This is the top of my list!! I am in love with this place. Even the the top restaurants in NYC beat these guys in terms of the quality of service and the food. Firstly, I admire and appreciate the fact the owner/Chef Lori herself was present there. They had 15-20 mins wait we didn’t mind. They were packed on Saturday but the service was so fast. Starting from the door host explained the process so well and inside we were greeted by Chef Lori and we ordered and sat. We wanted extra bread and they got us couple more bread and they didn’t charge us. We were happy to pay but that isn’t the point. I am not sure if they are Michelin but if they are not they absolutely deserve it!! The food was warm and absolutely yummy and the price was not expensive.“

Food: the cook shack chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing. Made fresh and fried to perfection. I went with medium, and boy. I sure am glad I did because medium is quite hot. I like spicy food trust me, but this medium for most people will probably seem hot or extra hot because it is very spicy, but let me tell you what it's simply amazing. The medium is a perfect blend of spice and flavor. Not too overbearing it's just right. The sandwich was amazing. The mac & cheese was amazing. The cookie ice cream sandwich was top-notch. I was very impressed with the food. I will definitely make Cook shack part of my rotation whenever I see them. The customer service was simply the best. As soon as you walk in your greeted with the nice young lady work on the cashier booth. She took our order with a smile, and was very friendly. Also, there was a really nice black lady. I wish I would've gotten your name but she stopped by her table. Check on it several times. We we absolutely blown away with the friendliness of the staff how quick food got out to us and the flavor and tenderness the bark of the Brisket if off the hook!! Definitely ask for the fatty part of the Brisket if ya know anything about meat fat is flavor!! The ribs are fall off the bone and done and smoked right. The jalapeño coleslaw is a must have get a large and the sweet potato cassarole is omg taste amazing!! Atmosphere is only a 4/5 because there was a lot of people, otherwise it had a nice feel to it. Food was pretty good also, I actually needed a take-out box because their BLT and fries were so filling. Brenda was so sweet to us and I enjoyed her jokes also. “This was the best eating out experience we have had in a very long time! The service was on point. Everyone worked as a team so we never ran out of drinks or had empty plates crowding the table. The food was absolutely amazing! The fried green tomatoes came with ranch but you don't need it. They were seasoned and battered perfectly. The jalapeño hush puppies had the tiniest hint of spice so not too hot. My husband ate thr wholempkate of chicken fried chicken, which is really saying something. I had the guacamole burger which was undeniably delicious just slightly messy. I substituted mashed potatoes with country gravy instead of fries. The bowl of potatoes was huge and delicious. I can't say enough good things about this place. We will definitely be back. The family atmosphere is rare in today's society. “I know nothing about the restaurant. But what i do know is that Maria , & Lili , along with the owner (ms.kellie) have an amazing heart. I have had a very rough day and when I approached their restaurant they let me and my grandpa sit outside and use their tables, bring food from another restaurant to be able to sit there and even served us water and checked on us during the time we were there. I am forever greatful for these employees (more importantly these people) I can't not thank them enough for their hospitality. But what I can say is thank you, you have no idea how much it meant to me.“

A "Bermuda Triangle of commerce" is what he called areas that had a revolving door of businesses that come and go. I don't know how many restaurants have been in this same spot. At least four I think. Beer and Grill I believe will be here for a good while. A friend took me here for dinner to celebrate/commiserate me being laid off from my job after ten years. When one door closes, another opens. We opened this door to a great delight. We had a fun time. Food and drinks and service were great. Cool people hanging out there too. Beer was nice and cold. Thank you, I needed that bad. Parmesan white truffle oil fries were ok. Onion rings good. Classic cheeseburger was good. Picanha sandwich (get this) was incredible. Freaking amazing! “First time there, had breakfast. My friends had the lunch entries and were very happy with their meals. Everything was delicious except for my sausage patty, which was extremely salty. Didn't eat it. Portions are huge, prices are very reasonable. The service was pretty slow. Played soft music, which was nice and relaxing. The reasons for 4 stars: my ice water had a definite "off" taste. Betting that the ice machine needed cleaning. And the entire place needs a good cleaning, re-painting and new booth seating. They were torn/ripped, walls are dirty, front door was filled with hand and fingerprints, the entire place needs new flooring. Countertop at the left had visible stains, needed a good wiping. Needs to be shut down for a few days to be cleaned, painted, dusted, wiped and to be shown some TLC. I hope the kitchen wasn't as bad as the rest of the place! I do plan on going back, but I hope it will be much cleaner and "spruced up". Pls., owners, show it some love.“

“I have been going to Waffle House since May of 1976. There were only 3 in the Houston area then in Pasadena on 225 (gone now) and on Eldridge Dr by Gulf Freeway and on NASA road 1 off 45 South. But now they are all over. We get excellent service at Fry Rd from Roe. She is a server there for several years. Last time my bacon was a bit overcooked so she actually threw another slice on the grill and brought it to me. Their coffee is no longer freshly ground but still has that excellent smooth taste. Often very busy for good reason.“
