“This little place never fails. They call you by name and serve you like family. Breakfast, lunch or a snack will always be fresh here. If it’s not made like you like it they will remake it. The owners are very personable and sincere. *They have the best big and fluffy pancakes!“

Today I wanted something different and ordered the King Salad and ask them to put grilled shrimp instead of the chicken or beef….OMG!!! Was the BEST salad I’ve ever had! “A small hole in the wall run by a sweet family with delicious food. I've only had the breakfast, but everything is wonderful. From the migas, to the chorizo, the bacon fat refried beans and clean barbacoa... Some of the best food in the area, but only open early in the day.“

Needless to say these reviews were far from right and definitely wrong! I was treated with great customer service even though we ordered from the drive thru. They recommended me specials and things they personally recommended and I ended up getting the enchilada special. The taste was so good, and definitely not made cheaply. I'm so glad I was able to go here because the enchiladas are to die for and so are their beans. I'll be coming here more often. Definitely give this place a try if you already haven't. “I had the El Tampiqueño and it was great, the steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was good, The enchilada rice and beans were all good as well and paired well with the steak.I loved the flavor of the salsa and small side of beans that came with the chips.The waitress was friendly and our food came out fast.The restaurant was clean and very nice.“

“Great food such nostalgia going there however the compuestas are just not the same anymore. Not a good shell to topping ratio. I must say their shells are freaking delicious and one of a kind sad they run out of them when I crave casa de tacos the most. Despite that, I will always return. “This was the best Mexican food I had during a week long trip to South Texas. I had been looking for some good Menudo and I found it here! The Tripe in the soup was so tender and the broth was delicious. I also had the daily special Carnita Plate and that was just perfect with very tender and juicy pork.“
