“I mostly order to go. The only thing I don't like is that you order pupusas and they come with the cabbage mix and a bag of sauce. So when I orders 6 for my kids and me. I expect 6 cabbage mixes and 6 saucesThen they want to charge you extra. Other than that....they are fabulous“
“I am Salvadorian American so I am extremely picky with my pupusas. I must say that this place is the best there is! I love their new location and they have the most amazing quesadillas (Salvadorian sweet bread with cheese) which you can enjoy with your cafecito while waiting on your pupusas ?“
“"My husband and I used to frequent Gloria’s Latin Cuisine in Colleyville and loved it, so we decided to try the Southlake location. We went on a Saturday night and, as expected, there was a long wait due to the no reservations policy on weekends (reservations are only accepted Monday to Thursday). If you have a large group and plan to visit on a weekend, arrive early to secure a table. The food and drinks were amazing, and the prices were reasonable compared to other restaurants in Southlake. The ambiance was inviting, although parking near the restaurant was difficult; however, there was plenty of parking just a two-minute walk away near the REI store. We ordered the tostadas and aquachile verde both of which tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. The complimentary chips and salsa were a nice touch, and they also offer a gluten-free menu."Dietary restrictions: They have a separate gluten free menu“
“Never have a bad time at Gloria's. Carne asada was one of the best things we have eaten in a while. Cooked perfectly. My Adobe pork was an 8/10. Great, but a touch dry. I could bathe in the black bean soup. Great drinks, but I could really, really use a few cocktails on the menu that aren't all fruity or sweet. But the cocktails we did have were fire. One was a margarita with St. Germaine>fire. Another, a mezcal marg with chamoy-kind of drink>FIRE! Keep those, please. Great service at the bar. It's always a good time. Could use a few more vegetables on the menu, though. I feel like any time I go to Gloria's or go to a Tex-Mex place (I know G's is not Tex-Mex, it's Salvadorian), it's 100% beans, meat, and cheese. A couple of salads are the only green options. I could use some hot vegetable sides, too. I know Latin Americans eat vegetables.“
“True rating 5/10Simple and clean Tex-Mex. Great free appetizers with the chip dipping options that are great. Ordered Steak and Shrimp also Shrimp of Ajo. Shrimp was excellent but the steak ordered rare didn't seem up to par.Service was fast for both my orders. Restaurant also participating in the T-Mobile dining advantage. They also have Coca Cola Zero.Parking: Pretty limited parking shared with the surrounding area.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly ramp near restaurant.“
“Took my boyfriend's parents for their first Salvadoran food experience. Oy one of us speaks any Spanish - albeit very little. The staff did not speak English, but everyone was welcoming, warm, and we absolutely dumbked our way through a fantastic dinner. The pupusas and tamale con elote were amazing!“
“Just found my new go to spot! Stumbled across this place on accident and so happy to have done so. Immediately noticed the home cooking/hole in the wall vibes and I’ve always loved that. We tried the carnitas, beef fajita and pastor tacos along with a cheese and chicharrón con queso pupusas. 10/10 will definitely be back for the menudo and posole on the weekends.“
“Friendly staff and wonderful food is a combination that works in this restaurant. What a treat! It was my first visit, but it won't be my last.Vegetarian options: I got 1 @of cheese, spinach and cheese, and pumpkin and cheese Pupusa. With them was served a side of delicious slaw and a really good dipping sauce.“
“First time to Casa Mia for an early lunch (11AM) and it definitely won’t be the last. Mom and I were eagerly anticipating what we were hoping to be a good experience, and it absolutely blew us away! This visit ticked all the boxes in terms of Food, Service, and Ambiance. It was truly exceptional. I can’t believe this place has been here for six years and we have lived across the highway all this time. Walking in, you immediately feel a sense of welcoming in an intimate, classy, high energy space. Wonderful first impression. This is a Family Business and one that you would be doing yourself a disservice for not stopping by.From the time we entered, we were immediately greeted and seated by John, the mixologist here. He and the chef in the back were truly the stars of the show. John introduced us to the establishment and spoke a bit about the history. He was expecting us (since we made a reservation online) so he had already reserved a table. He was more than happy to answer any questions we may have had about the Menu. Fortunately, we glanced at the Menu online beforehand in order to prevent any indecisiveness.Hot, Fresh Chips, Salsa, and Black Bean Dip (life-changing btw) were brought to the table first. The crunch and texture of the chip was perfect accompanied by the two dips and set the tone for the rest of the meal.5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️John then handed us the cocktail Menu and we ordered two Jalapeño Margaritas. Individually handcrafted with fresh, quality ingredients, this Margarita ranks right up there with some of the best we have had. The flavors of the lime juice and the jalapeño do a little dance on the palate and cut through with just the right intensity.5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️For entrées, I ordered the Reina Plate and Mom ordered the Chicken Enchiladas. Both excellent! Hot, Fresh, Cooked to Order, Tender, locked-in flavor, and complete bliss with each and every bite. I love places that don’t over season or oversalt their food, simply because 1.) it retracts from the experience and 2.) we don’t add salt to our food at home. The seasoning here was perfect! I wish more places were like this. The pickled cabbage, carrots, and sauce were the perfect accompaniments to the fried plantains, yuca, pupusa with cheese, and tamale wrapped in banana leaves. The Black Bean Dip and Rice was a nice touch as well. Portion sizes just right and that can be hit or miss on several establishments. Presentation and aesthetics were on point as well and I would give them 10 stars if I could!5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for The Reina Plate5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for The Chicken EnchiladasFor dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Tres Leches Cheesecake, and it did not disappoint. Light, moist, and airy and the perfect way to end a meal.5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We were the only patrons at 11AM on a Monday. We loved the individualized service and it truly felt like John cared about us. Based on our dining experience and attentive/friendly service, we wish to return for subsequent visits. Looking forward to the opening of your location in Little Elm. See you again soon!“
