“Great meal, wonderful service and nice atmosphere! I ordered the Tacos La Patrona which consisted of three tacos featuring hand made corn tortillas filled with fajita meat, queso panela, chicharro, avocado and served with creamy quacamole and Pico de gallo. I asked for extra cilantro and no cheese. On the side were some fresh corn chips and three dipping salsas. The guy next to me finished about the same time I did and he went on and on to the waitress about how good his food was!”

“Was very impressed with food and service. We ate outside in a very attractive and clean area. Food was delivered very fast even during middle of lunch hour. Manager checked on us several times and seemed sincere about making sure we enjoyed our meal.”

“I have been visiting Brownsville for work from many years and could not find a decent halal authentic Desi retsuarnt catering to the needs of Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi or Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food. Options were always limited to IHOP or Mexican Sea Food places.So happy to find this place this visit, which has opened only 3 to 4 months back.Nice decor and clean and hygienic run family owned restaurant. The owners are always to meet and greet customers. A large variety of authentic halal menu. We tried Dahi Bara, Chicken Biryani, Nihari and took White Chicken curry for take away for Sheri. All were good and had fabulous Masala Chai tea in the end. The decor and cutlery was high quality which the owners advised was all designed and arranged by their daughters.In short we enjoyed our stay and food and would always visit them whenever we are in Brownsville area. Only one suggestion is to start oven made fresh naans too in future if possible. May be I am expecting too much as visiting from Houston area.Syed Shahzad”

“We just devoured the 3 Meat Plate (brisket, ribs & chicken) & it was one of the tastiest meals I’ve had! No knives needed…very tender & delicious! Perfectly seasoned. Two of us shared the plate, had 2 soda drinks & it was under $40. The young lady who owns the place is very sweet & personable. Support this small business!”

“I just found out about this hidden gem about 5 months ago and it never disappoints. From the food to the staff everything is great. Great environment with great energy. The food is some of the best flavor food I have had and it’s cheap. I started off with a pizza and have now even gotten items I had never ate before. “OMG, I am so glad the burger place in Donna was closed when we got there. If it wasn't I would not have found this place. I am a CFS "snob". I like more meat less crust. Some places advertise and show the largest CFS you have ever seen. But alas, it is mostly crust. This place serves about a ¾" steak with minimal crust. It came out piping hot along with the home cut fries. Both were hot, when i took my last bite(yes I tend to eat faster than the average bear) ? The size of the steak was perfect for me, I compare it to the circumference of a regular sized waffle. If I ever get to come back to the RGV, I will be back to eat at Haley's”

“Had an Iced Matcha latte (Oat milk as my substitute) with the English Muffin that consisted of Cheese, Sausage(you have a choice of either sausage or bacon), and an egg. It was all very delicious and the atmosphere was quiet since I went in the earlymorning but there was some music playing as well in the background. I lastly had a cakepop on the go and it was also a nice tasting item. For it being my first visit here I would say that I enjoyed my visit and would come again when I can so I can try everything else. Sorry I have no photos of my purchases to view but it is worth a try if you have not yet.Dietary restrictions: They have different options as alternatives to dairy.”

“My husband will stop here at least once a week for a homestyle homemade delicious chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, or best of the best brisket. Their sides are truly awesome! Price per plate was very fair. Food is served in good portion. Family owned and operated with excellent and personal service— I felt like I was in a Southern Hallmark movie. “I felt that we waited longer than normal for our meals. Maybe they were short a person that day as it took longer for our drinks to arrive, too. My husband loved his hamburger. I felt that mine was overcooked but they did make the lettuce wrap as I had asked for.”

“I am thoroughly impressed with the customer service at this little cheesers! I was greeted as soon as I walked in. There was a short line, but it moved fast. I haven't been to a little cheesers in a few yrs so some stuff was new to me and the employee was patient and professional. They all communicated with each other enthusiastically and when the person at the register didn't have a line he was helping his Co workers. Everyone was busy, moving fast, and they all seemed happy. I will be returning specifically to this place because of their customer service and wonderful attitudes. I wish I'd taken note of their names because they were awesome! Keep up the great work!”

“Easily one of the best coffee shops in the valley. Very spacious, tranquil, delicious coffee, great service. Come to Weslaco and stop by here, not overthere. Plenty of parking on the street or next to the building. Small conference room available. Outdoor seating available. Great spot to say the least.”

“First timers..Wow what great chicken, we have not found many places like this in our travels!! We got the 2 chicken special on Saturday. It was plenty for multiple meals for the 2 of us. Rice, beans, onions, jalapeño and tortillas came with the special for $25. They have 3 lanes and all had 3 cars in them when I got there. That tells you something!! Had a bit of a language barrier but they got a gal to come out and take my order.”

“I didn't rate the service or atmosphere only because I wasn't there to pick up the cookies but I'm sure it was top notch since one of my sons drives from Harlingen just to get their cookies .. I had the vanilla cookie with the creme on top and let me tell you it was THE BEST cookie I've ever eaten ..It rivaled my aunts chocolate chip cookies from childhood and that's saying a lot because I LOVE chocolate ! ?I would have normally chosen a chocolate cookie but thought to myself" Self .. try something different ? .. " I second guessed myself 3 times if that makes any sense because I don't like anything vanilla accept maybe some Vanilla Bluebell ice-cream ..Lemme tell you ...I felt like I was eating a mini cheesecake !It had the perfect chew and the creme on top was PHENOMENAL ..Also it was not sickeningly sweet as some desserts can be and was a very good size cookie ..The only down side is that now all other cookies have been ruined for me ?SO DELICIOUS !! ???”

“Sometimes you find the restaurant that just makes your evening special. We found it here! From walking in to our wonderful dessert it couldn't be any better. We had drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert. Price was what you would expect and service couldn't have been better.”

“Great upscale Mexican food - not a typical menu - lots of unique takes on the standard fare. All of our selections were tasty & plentiful at a very reasonable price. We were served on the outside patio on a cool February evening. The heaters were plentiful enough to make it very comfortable despite the 40 degree temp. Worth our 60 minute trip to Wilson.”

“When I visit from Midland I will always stop here as soon as I get into town. Sometimes 2-3 times a day. The owner is so great, his staff is great. They have the best coffee in town! There’s definitely NO COMPETITION. I will pick this place over any other coffee shop in RGV. The coffee has the best flavors! They have coffee, lemonades, energy drinks even muffins! “This place is great, the service is that original, authentic southern hospitality service. You feel like your family or like you've known them for years. The other great thing is they have a special for each day. Today (Tuesday) is the brisket burger for $5.75. I ask for the fatty slices and thats what I always get. I order to take so they pack everything separate for me so I can prep and eat when I get home. They do have a dining area as well and it is the perfect Texas bbq dining area. I think Wednesday is the chicken plate special for $7.50. Not one complaint about this establishment. It is worth the visit, I highly recommend.”

“The food was very good. Do not skip the beans they bring you when you arrive. They are amazing. We ordered a large potato with meat, a half order of tacos with meat, and a taco Ina flour tortilla. Everything was good.”
